Stratus vs Remarcable
Two platforms for MEP prefab shops. Stratus runs fabrication from the model, while Remarcable starts from procurement. Stratus (GTP Software) turns coordinated BIM into spools, work packages, cut lists and labels and tracks them through install; Remarcable covers procurement and material operations, with field prefab requests and assembly tracking beside purchasing, tools and inventory, plus AI search and document processing. Vendor pages re-read Oct 18, 2026; desk research, not tested, no winner.
In short: Stratus (MEP fabrication management; no public prices (quote / sales)) vs Remarcable (Procurement & material operations; no public prices (quote / sales)). Facts last checked Oct 18, 2026. No winner declared; not tested.

| What it does | MEP fabrication management that turns coordinated models into work packages and keeps shop and field on the latest version. Re-read Oct 18, 2026: GTP Software's Stratus connects modeling tools such as Revit and AutoCAD to manufacturing tools, turns coordinated BIM into fabrication-ready spools, assemblies and work packages, and generates cut lists, bend sheets, labels and shop instructions from the model, with tracking from production through delivery and installation. Add-ons include Stratus Workstation (cut lists at shop cutting stations), Stratus Field (Field Orderz for sketching piping, ordering catalog items and submitting duct takeoffs from the jobsite, plus Stratus Mobile) and Stratus Shift (shop labor tracking by touchscreen or QR scan). It also lists purchasing status tracking and predictive productivity insights from historical data; the pages we read do not describe AI (vendor statements). | Connected procurement and material operations for field, office, prefab shop, warehouse and suppliers, with AI search and document processing. AI also gives recommendations and processes documents such as quotes and sales orders. Re-read Oct 17, 2026: the homepage also says a scan of a text, email or handwritten note becomes a bill of materials in the cart, that AI checks every invoice line against the PO and flags mismatches with a review step you control, and that quotes, sales orders and invoices from any supplier are processed by integration or AI OCR (vendor statements). Re-read Oct 18, 2026: the prefabrication management page describes custom prefab models that field teams request directly from the field, with dependencies, material and cost set per assembly, a warehouse dashboard for requests, automated job-site charges for each assembly and in-app messaging (vendor statements). |
| Who it's for | MEP contractors (electrical, piping and plumbing, sheet metal, industrial). | MEP contractors and distributors. |
| Pricing (as publicly stated) | No public prices found (checked Oct 16, 2026): the vendor site has no pricing or plans link in its navigation or footer, and /pricing and /plans return a not-found page. The site's calls to action are "Request a demo". Confirm current pricing with the vendor. Re-checked Oct 18, 2026: /pricing still returns a not-found page. | Custom quote / no public prices on pricing page (checked Oct 16, 2026; homepage and pricing page re-read Oct 17, 2026). The page says pricing depends on company size, project needs and modules activated, with no extra per-user charge for office or field users, and that you can start with any one module and add more. Re-read Oct 18, 2026: unchanged. |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Starting point (vendor wording): Stratus says it connects modeling tools such as Revit and AutoCAD to manufacturing tools so model information drives the shop floor, installation and purchasing, and turns coordinated models into fabrication-ready spools, assemblies and work packages without redrawing. Remarcable describes connected procurement and material operations that bring the field, office, prefab shop, warehouse and suppliers into one system.
- Shop floor: Stratus generates cut lists, bend sheets, labels and shop instructions from the model, offers Stratus Workstation for cut lists at shop cutting stations, and Stratus Shift for shop labor tracking by touchscreen terminal or badge-and-package QR scan. Remarcable's prefabrication page describes custom prefab models with dependencies, material and cost set per assembly, a warehouse dashboard for incoming requests, automated job-site charges for each assembly and in-app messaging.
- Field requests: Stratus Field combines Field Orderz and Stratus Mobile; Field Orderz lets field teams sketch custom piping, order catalog items and submit duct takeoffs based on fabrication database specifications, routed into the Stratus packaging workflow, on Windows and iOS tablets. Remarcable says field teams submit prefab assemblies directly instead of on prefab forms, and that a scan of a text, email or handwritten note becomes a bill of materials in the cart.
- Purchasing: procurement is Remarcable's core, with approvals and POs, distributor catalogs (it cites a 300,000+ item catalog and a 400+ supplier network, vendor figures), ERP integrations, tool tracking and job-site inventory. Stratus says its purchasing functionality connects contractors directly with suppliers and tracks the status of all purchases.
- How each describes AI: Remarcable describes smart search and recommendations, AI OCR for quotes, sales orders and invoices from any supplier, and AI that checks invoice lines against the PO and flags mismatches for review. The Stratus pages we read do not use the word AI; they describe predictive productivity insights that forecast timelines and productivity from historical data, which is why Stratus is tagged Not AI-first here.
- Pricing: neither publishes dollar prices. Remarcable's pricing page says price depends on company size, project needs and modules activated, with no extra charge per office or field user, and that you can start with one module. Stratus has no pricing page (/pricing returns a not-found page, checked Oct 18, 2026) and asks visitors to request a demo. Not used here: customer quotes on both sites citing spooling, productivity and labor-hour savings.

What we can't tell you yet
Which tool is better for your work. That needs testing on the same package with a verified answer key. Planned measures for this comparison:
- Whether Remarcable's prefab module works from BIM models or only from catalog-based assemblies, and how far Stratus purchasing goes beyond tracking purchase status
- Whether the two integrate, for a contractor running Stratus in the shop and Remarcable for purchasing
- What Stratus costs, and which Remarcable modules a prefab-only start needs
