Solibri vs VAVETEK AI (BAMROC)
Two different steps in BIM clash work. Solibri is rule-based model checking and clash detection: teams define which disciplines and elements to compare, set clearances and tolerances, group clashes into coordination issues and rerun checks on new model versions, with published per-license prices. VAVETEK AI's BAMROC does not detect clashes: it is a Revit add-in that takes MEP clashes already found in Navisworks or KlashBIM and uses AI to move or bend services to resolve them, with changes logged for review. Not like-for-like. Desk research from vendor pages read Oct 28, 2026; not tested, no winner.
In short: Solibri (BIM model checking & clash detection; vendor publishes prices) vs VAVETEK AI (BAMROC) (AI MEP clash resolution; no public prices (quote / sales)). Facts last checked Oct 28, 2026. No winner declared; not tested.

| What it does | Rule-based BIM model checking, clash detection and coordination issue management from Solibri, a Nemetschek company. Read Oct 18, 2026: Solibri says it applies structured rule-based validation so geometry, data and classification are verified before execution, and that its clash detection is rule-based rather than only geometry intersection: teams choose which disciplines and elements to compare, set clearance zones and tolerances, exclude acceptable intersections, group clashes by system, location or responsibility, and rerun checks automatically on new model versions. Tiers: Starter (IFC federation and visual inspection), Essential (IFC and native Revit federation, predefined rules, clash detection workflows, BCF issue management and CDE integrations), Advanced (custom rules, clash matrix control, IDS data validation, QTO/ITO, Autorun automation, WebChecker), Premium (point cloud checking, company extensions, Superrun automation and an AI-powered Assistant) and Security+ (fully offline, air-gapped deployment with no telemetry). The AI-powered Assistant is listed as Beta and Premium-only, in desktop release 26.6.0: it answers natural-language questions about rule setup, queries the open model and current results, and helps work through issues; Solibri says it only gets access to the open model and session with explicit permission and does not access external data or browse the internet. Re-read Oct 19, 2026: tiers and the Beta, Premium-only AI-powered Assistant are unchanged; the assistant page adds that Premium customers turn it on by accepting the software update notification in their Solibri environment. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: solibri.com is back up after the scheduled-maintenance page seen in earlier Oct 21 reads; the homepage, tiers (Starter, Essential, Advanced, Premium, Security+) and the AI-powered Assistant page are unchanged in substance (Beta, Premium-only, desktop release 26.6.0, access to the open model only with explicit permission, no internet access). Its EUR 400K savings case-study figure is a vendor claim not used here. Re-checked Oct 22, 2026: tiers and the AI-powered Assistant (Beta, Premium-only) unchanged in substance; the site header now promotes BIM validation for hyperscale and data center construction. Re-checked Oct 24, 2026: tiers (Starter, Essential, Advanced, Premium, Security+) and the AI-powered Assistant (Beta, Premium-only) unchanged in substance. Re-checked Oct 26, 2026: homepage and offerings page unchanged in substance (Starter, Essential, Advanced and Premium tiers; AI Assistant still in the menu; prepaid tokens for outcome-based features). | BAMROC AI software that the vendor says automatically resolves MEP-vs-MEP and MEP-vs-structure clashes in BIM models. The vendor claims it is 11 times faster (vendor claim, not verified); it also offers structure design optimization. Listed at Groundbreak as VAVATEK AI. Re-read Oct 17, 2026 (homepage and BAMROC page): BAMROC (BIM Automatic Modular Resolver of Clashes) takes a clash report from VAVETEK AI's Navisworks plugin, works with BIM 360/ACC cloud models and single or multiple Revit files, and applies AI-driven Movement and Bend strategies that move or bend services while keeping configured clearances and connectivity; predictions are implemented in the Revit workflow with errors and disconnections logged, and a CRDR report compares before and after models. The FAQ lists current limitations for industrial plants and infrastructure, special-geometry buildings, LOD400+ fabrication models, gravity pipes vs structure, and equipment vs MEP clashes. Other products listed: HUBAROC (human-assisted semi-automatic resolver), Klash BIM (clash detector), Very Easy BIM (AI copilot platform), OPTIFOUND and DARACOR (foundation design). Page claims up to 86% of clashes resolved automatically and up to 20% faster project timelines (vendor claims, not verified). Describes itself as a Singapore-India based SaaS startup. Re-read Oct 18, 2026: the BAMROC page still lists MEP vs MEP and MEP vs structure as its primary automated workflows and the same limitations, and says BIM professionals review and validate the resulting changes; the KLASH BIM page describes a separate plugin that detects MEP and structure clashes, organizes them into reports and can pass them to BAMROC for AI-assisted resolution. Re-read Oct 19, 2026: the BAMROC page is unchanged in substance (same workflows, up to 86% and up to 20% claims, and limitations); the homepage now says BAMROC's global patent has been published (vendor statement), lists CRDR BIM (clash resolution diagnosis report) as its own product, and lists Air Conditioning Optimization and Facade Optimization as coming soon. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: the BAMROC page is unchanged in substance (same MEP vs MEP and MEP vs structure workflows, limitations and vendor claims); it also describes BAMROC as fully cloud-based and lists live demo webinars and two customer case studies, and the homepage still lists CRDR BIM as its own product and Air Conditioning and Facade Optimization as coming soon. The pages we read list no security certifications. Re-checked Oct 22, 2026: homepage and BAMROC page unchanged in substance (BAMROC resolves clashes already found in Navisworks or KlashBIM inside the Revit model; global patent published per the vendor; CRDR BIM listed as its own product; Air Conditioning and Facade Optimization still coming soon; live demo webinars). The 86% hospital-project figure appears in a customer quote and is not used. Re-checked Oct 24, 2026 (read through a text fetch; direct requests and a headless browser were blocked by Cloudflare): homepage and BAMROC page unchanged in substance (resolves clashes already found in Navisworks or KlashBIM inside Revit; MEP vs MEP and MEP vs structure; Move or Bend strategies; global patent published per the vendor). The BAMROC page now has an FAQ: it runs as a Revit add-in with clashes processed on VAVETEK AI's servers, supports single or multiple Revit files including BIM 360 and ACC cloud models, and does not yet support industrial plants, infrastructure, special-geometry buildings, LOD 400+ fabrication models, gravity pipes vs structure or equipment vs MEP clashes; HUBAROC is described as the human-assisted option. Speed and percentage figures in its comparison table and customer quotes are vendor material and are not used. Re-checked Oct 26, 2026 (homepage and BAMROC page read directly): unchanged in substance (BAMROC does not detect clashes; it resolves MEP vs MEP and MEP vs structure clashes already found in Navisworks or KlashBIM inside the Revit model, choosing a Move or Bend strategy, keeping configured clearances and logging disconnections for review; HUBAROC is the human-assisted option; global patent published per the vendor; Air Conditioning and Facade Optimization still coming soon). The 11 times faster line and customer-quote percentages are vendor material and are not used. |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Where each sits: Solibri's clash detection page says its checks are rule-based rather than only geometry intersection, covering hard clashes, soft clashes and clearance checking across federated models, with clash grouping, issue tracking and verification across coordination cycles. BAMROC's page says it starts after detection: for each eligible MEP vs MEP or MEP vs structure clash it picks a Move or Bend strategy inside the Revit model, keeps configured clearances and logs any disconnections.
- How changes reach the model: Solibri reports and manages issues; the pages we read do not describe it editing the authoring model. BAMROC runs as an add-in inside Autodesk Revit; its FAQ says clashes are processed on VAVETEK AI's servers and the prediction files are then applied in Revit, with fixed errors marked green and the rest marked red for review, and a CRDR report comparing before and after models.
- Human review: VAVETEK offers HUBAROC as the human-assisted option when engineers want to pick the strategy clash by clash. Solibri's workflow assigns responsibility and tracks issue status until resolution is verified.
- Scope limits (vendor pages): BAMROC says it does not yet support industrial plants, infrastructure projects, special-geometry buildings, LOD 400+ fabrication models, gravity pipes vs structure or equipment vs MEP clashes. Solibri's FAQ says clash detection is in Essential, Advanced, Premium and Security+, and its menus list infrastructure, data center, hospital and airport work.
- AI: BAMROC is tagged AI-first. Solibri is tagged AI features added to established product: its AI-powered Assistant is in Beta, Premium-only, in desktop release 26.6.0, answers questions about rules, checks and issues, and only reads the open model and session with explicit permission; Solibri says it does not access external data or browse the internet.
- Pricing (checked Oct 28, 2026): Solibri publishes starting prices per license per year: Starter from EUR 99, Essential from EUR 1,428, Advanced from EUR 2,109 and Premium from EUR 2,772, with Security+ through sales and prepaid token packages for automation features. VAVETEK lists no pricing page (/pricing returns not found); the calls to action are a live demo and Request Demo. See each tool page for detail.
- Not used here: BAMROC's 11 times faster line, its comparison-table percentages and customer-quote resolution figures, and Solibri's case-study savings (vendor material). Neither tool has been tested by Means & Methods Lab.

Questions to ask in your review
- How many of your clashes fall inside BAMROC's supported types, and how much engineer review its changes still need
- Whether BAMROC's resolved Revit models can be re-checked cleanly in a Solibri rule set on the next coordination cycle (BAMROC reads clash reports from its Navisworks plugin or KlashBIM, not from Solibri, per its pages)
- What you actually pay, and on what basis (neither publishes full prices)
- What did you use it for, on what kind of work and project size?
- How long did setup and training take, and who on your team did it?
- What does it cost you in practice, compared with what the sales call said?
