RIB SpecLink

Cloud-based specification software (formerly BSD SpecLink; bsdspeclink.com now redirects to RIB) built on CSI-standard master content in MasterFormat 2004-2016 and the CSI 3-part SectionFormat, with a single project database, editing by inclusion (select text from a checklist instead of deleting), and intelligent links that automatically include related requirements and exclude contradictory options. Lists Revit synchronization, LEED v4 provisions, 30 built-in reports including lists of required submittals and manufacturers, quarterly content updates, and citations to 3,000+ reference standards audited annually (vendor claims). RIB says customers own the content they create. AI: a separate SpecLink.AI page describes an AI tool for project-data Q&A, quality control with consistent, repeatable specification reviews, and a knowledge hub, built on Azure OpenAI with stated data-privacy terms (prompts and outputs not used to train OpenAI models). That page still says SpecLink.AI is rolling out in a private/closed beta "at the end of 2024 and into 2025" via a waitlist, first as a co-pilot inside SpecLink Cloud and later as a standalone app; we could not confirm general availability. "70% faster" spec editing and "25,000+ construction professionals" are vendor claims.

Specification writers and consultants, architects and engineers; RIB says SpecLink.AI is meant for GCs, specialty subs, owners and PMs too.
