Autodesk Model Management vs VAVETEK AI (BAMROC)

Two different steps in MEP clash work that can sit in the same Autodesk workflow. Autodesk Model Management (Navisworks Manage plus Model Coordination in Autodesk Forma) aggregates multi-discipline models, detects and groups clashes automatically and turns them into tracked issues. VAVETEK AI's BAMROC does not detect clashes: it is a Revit add-in that takes MEP clashes found with VAVETEK AI's Navisworks plugin or KlashBIM and uses AI to move or bend eligible services, logging changes for review. Not like-for-like. Desk research from vendor pages read Oct 30, 2026; not tested, no winner.

What it doesAutodesk's clash detection offer, Navisworks Manage plus cloud Model Coordination in Forma. Model Coordination was formerly sold as BIM Collaborate. Read Oct 18, 2026: Autodesk says Autodesk Construction Cloud is now part of Autodesk Forma and product names have changed; its Model Management page describes uploading multi-discipline models and automatically detecting clashes, automatic clash grouping and dynamic clash tolerance filters, turning clashes into assigned issues, and tracking and verifying fixes across Navisworks, Revit and Forma, with Navisworks Manage for clash resolution, model aggregation, 4D/5D simulation and 3D model review and reality capture workflows with ReCap Pro. Its FAQ says the BIM Collaborate subscription (Model Coordination, Design Collaboration and Docs) is no longer sold, and that these are available through the Model Management bundle, Navisworks Manage or BIM Collaborate Pro. The pages we read describe automatic clash detection but no AI features. Re-read Oct 19, 2026: unchanged; the Model Management page and FAQ still describe automatic clash detection and the discontinued BIM Collaborate subscription, with no AI features named. Re-read Oct 21, 2026: the Model Management page and FAQ are unchanged in substance (automatic clash detection and grouping, dynamic clash tolerance filters, connected issues across Navisworks, Revit and Forma; BIM Collaborate no longer sold); the bundle page lists Model Coordination, Design Collaboration, Forma Data Management, Autodesk Tandem Essentials, Navisworks Manage and Autodesk Recap Pro as included products and still names no AI features. Re-checked Oct 24, 2026: the bundle page's Products Included list now names Model Coordination, Design Collaboration, Forma Data Management, Insight, Assemble, Autodesk Tandem Essentials, Navisworks Manage and Autodesk ReCap Pro, and an Autodesk Construction Cloud banner says ACC is now part of Autodesk Forma. The bundle page names no AI features. Re-checked Oct 26, 2026: the product page is now titled Model Management with Autodesk Forma + Navisworks (formerly BIM Collaborate), and the bundle offer page is titled Forma for Model Management; the ACC-is-now-part-of-Autodesk-Forma banner is still shown. The bundle page still names no AI features.BAMROC AI software that the vendor says automatically resolves MEP-vs-MEP and MEP-vs-structure clashes in BIM models. The vendor claims it is 11 times faster (vendor claim, not verified); it also offers structure design optimization. Listed at Groundbreak as VAVATEK AI. Re-read Oct 17, 2026 (homepage and BAMROC page): BAMROC (BIM Automatic Modular Resolver of Clashes) takes a clash report from VAVETEK AI's Navisworks plugin, works with BIM 360/ACC cloud models and single or multiple Revit files, and applies AI-driven Movement and Bend strategies that move or bend services while keeping configured clearances and connectivity; predictions are implemented in the Revit workflow with errors and disconnections logged, and a CRDR report compares before and after models. The FAQ lists current limitations for industrial plants and infrastructure, special-geometry buildings, LOD400+ fabrication models, gravity pipes vs structure, and equipment vs MEP clashes. Other products listed: HUBAROC (human-assisted semi-automatic resolver), Klash BIM (clash detector), Very Easy BIM (AI copilot platform), OPTIFOUND and DARACOR (foundation design). Page claims up to 86% of clashes resolved automatically and up to 20% faster project timelines (vendor claims, not verified). Describes itself as a Singapore-India based SaaS startup. Re-read Oct 18, 2026: the BAMROC page still lists MEP vs MEP and MEP vs structure as its primary automated workflows and the same limitations, and says BIM professionals review and validate the resulting changes; the KLASH BIM page describes a separate plugin that detects MEP and structure clashes, organizes them into reports and can pass them to BAMROC for AI-assisted resolution. Re-read Oct 19, 2026: the BAMROC page is unchanged in substance (same workflows, up to 86% and up to 20% claims, and limitations); the homepage now says BAMROC's global patent has been published (vendor statement), lists CRDR BIM (clash resolution diagnosis report) as its own product, and lists Air Conditioning Optimization and Facade Optimization as coming soon. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: the BAMROC page is unchanged in substance (same MEP vs MEP and MEP vs structure workflows, limitations and vendor claims); it also describes BAMROC as fully cloud-based and lists live demo webinars and two customer case studies, and the homepage still lists CRDR BIM as its own product and Air Conditioning and Facade Optimization as coming soon. The pages we read list no security certifications. Re-checked Oct 22, 2026: homepage and BAMROC page unchanged in substance (BAMROC resolves clashes already found in Navisworks or KlashBIM inside the Revit model; global patent published per the vendor; CRDR BIM listed as its own product; Air Conditioning and Facade Optimization still coming soon; live demo webinars). The 86% hospital-project figure appears in a customer quote and is not used. Re-checked Oct 24, 2026 (read through a text fetch; direct requests and a headless browser were blocked by Cloudflare): homepage and BAMROC page unchanged in substance (resolves clashes already found in Navisworks or KlashBIM inside Revit; MEP vs MEP and MEP vs structure; Move or Bend strategies; global patent published per the vendor). The BAMROC page now has an FAQ: it runs as a Revit add-in with clashes processed on VAVETEK AI's servers, supports single or multiple Revit files including BIM 360 and ACC cloud models, and does not yet support industrial plants, infrastructure, special-geometry buildings, LOD 400+ fabrication models, gravity pipes vs structure or equipment vs MEP clashes; HUBAROC is described as the human-assisted option. Speed and percentage figures in its comparison table and customer quotes are vendor material and are not used. Re-checked Oct 26, 2026 (homepage and BAMROC page read directly): unchanged in substance (BAMROC does not detect clashes; it resolves MEP vs MEP and MEP vs structure clashes already found in Navisworks or KlashBIM inside the Revit model, choosing a Move or Bend strategy, keeping configured clearances and logging disconnections for review; HUBAROC is the human-assisted option; global patent published per the vendor; Air Conditioning and Facade Optimization still coming soon). The 11 times faster line and customer-quote percentages are vendor material and are not used.

Where the vendor descriptions differ

  • Where each sits (vendor pages): Autodesk's Model Management page describes uploading multi-disciplinary models and automatically detecting clashes, automatic grouping and dynamic clash tolerance filters, turning clashes into assigned issues, and tracking and verifying fixes across Navisworks, Revit and Autodesk Forma, with Navisworks Manage for clash resolution review, model aggregation, 4D/5D simulation and 3D model review. BAMROC's page says it starts after detection: for each eligible MEP vs MEP or MEP vs structure clash it checks nearby elements and available space and applies a Move or Bend strategy inside the Revit model, keeping configured clearances.
  • How they connect: BAMROC's FAQ says it reads clash reports created with the VAVETEK AI Navisworks plugin and supports single or multiple Revit files, including cloud models on BIM 360 and ACC, in Revit 2020 to 2027. Clashes are processed on VAVETEK AI's servers and the changes are applied in Revit.
  • Human review: Autodesk's workflow assigns clashes as issues and tracks fixes until verified. BAMROC logs every error and disconnection per Revit file, marks fixed errors green and the rest red for review, and offers HUBAROC as the human-assisted option when engineers want to approve each change; it says it does not modify gravity pipes, structure or equipment elements.
  • Scope limits (vendor page): BAMROC says it does not yet support industrial plants, infrastructure projects, special-geometry buildings, LOD 400+ fabrication models, gravity pipes vs structure or equipment vs MEP clashes. Autodesk's pages describe coordination across disciplines without those limits but do not describe automatic resolution.
  • AI: BAMROC is tagged AI-first. Autodesk Model Management is tagged Not AI-first: its pages describe automatic clash detection and change analysis but name no AI features.
  • Pricing (checked Oct 30, 2026): neither publishes figures. Autodesk's Forma for Model Management bundle page says multiple best-in-class solutions for one price, with Get a quote as the only call to action. VAVETEK AI has no pricing page (/pricing returns not found); the calls to action are demos.
  • Not used here: BAMROC's customer-quote resolution percentages and speed claims (vendor material). Neither tool has been tested by Means & Methods Lab.

Questions to ask in your review

  • How many of your clashes fall inside BAMROC's supported types, and how much engineer review its changes still need
  • Whether BAMROC can work from clash tests run in Autodesk's cloud Model Coordination, or only from reports made with its own Navisworks plugin or KlashBIM (its pages name only the latter)
  • What you actually pay, and on what basis (neither publishes full prices)
  • What did you use it for, on what kind of work and project size?
  • How long did setup and training take, and who on your team did it?
  • What does it cost you in practice, compared with what the sales call said?
