Field Materials vs ConstructivIQ

Two procurement tools that sit at different points in the materials process. Field Materials handles buying and paying for materials: quotes, purchase orders, delivery records, AP invoice matching and inventory, mainly for trade contractors and self-performing GCs. ConstructivIQ is a procurement planning layer for GC project teams that tracks materials ordered by subs and suppliers against the schedule and warns when items are at risk. Not like-for-like. Neither publishes prices. Desk research from vendor pages read Oct 26, 2026; not tested, no winner.

Where the vendor descriptions differ

  • What each sells (vendor wording): Field Materials calls itself construction procurement software with AI agents for procurement, AP automation and inventory management. ConstructivIQ describes AI-driven material planning and tracking for construction, and its product page says it is built for project engineers and project managers who manage materials ordered by subs and suppliers.
  • Where each sits: Field Materials covers quote management, purchase orders, delivery records, AP automation, inventory, prefabrication, expense management and pricing intelligence. ConstructivIQ says Procore and Autodesk Forma are the execution layer (submittals, RFIs, documents) and it is the planning layer above them, pulling submittal status and schedule data and recalculating required-on-job dates when the schedule changes.
  • AI (vendor descriptions): Field Materials says AI scans vendor quotes to remove PO data entry, matches uploaded delivery slips to POs, and scans incoming AP invoices for three-way validation and error detection. ConstructivIQ says its AI detects non-typical exception patterns in procurement scenarios and suggests how to handle them, with early warning on at-risk materials before they affect the schedule.
  • Scenarios and users: Field Materials lists mechanical, electrical, framing and drywall, civil, concrete, insulation and firestopping, masonry and general contractors, a field mobile app for requesting and receiving materials, and a free vendor side for suppliers. ConstructivIQ lists embedded materials, owner-furnished contractor-installed (OFCI) equipment, field-measured items and multi-component skids, and markets such as data centers, arenas, healthcare, higher education and multifamily.
  • Integrations: Field Materials lists Procore, CMiC, Foundation, Sage 100 Contractor, Sage 300 CRE, Sage Intacct, Deltek ComputerEase, Viewpoint Vista and Spectrum, QuickBooks Online and Desktop, and Stratus. ConstructivIQ lists Procore, Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud), Oracle P6 and MS Project.
  • Pricing (checked Oct 26, 2026): neither publishes prices. Field Materials says it is free for vendors and contractors pay a subscription based on organization size and procurement volume, quoted after a demo. ConstructivIQ offers Watch the Demo and Schedule a Custom Demo; its /pricing returns not found.
  • Not used here: Field Materials' savings, processing-time and order-volume figures and customer quotes, and ConstructivIQ's deployment count, award mention and testimonials (vendor content).

Questions to ask in your review

  • Whether your gap is purchasing and AP for materials you buy yourself (Field Materials) or visibility into when subs' and suppliers' materials will arrive against the schedule (ConstructivIQ); some teams may need both
  • How each fits your ERP, Procore or Forma setup and your scheduling tool
  • What either costs for your company size, procurement volume or project count
  • What did you use it for, on what kind of work and project size?
  • How long did setup and training take, and who on your team did it?
  • What does it cost you in practice, compared with what the sales call said?
