Where the vendor descriptions differ

  • Market: OneCrew's homepage says it works only with asphalt and concrete businesses, from single-property homeowners to multi-site commercial clients. B2W Estimate is pitched for heavy civil contractors, with pay item and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) bidding and state-specific DOT electronic bidding system (EBS) file downloads.
  • Takeoff and estimate: OneCrew says estimators draw on monthly satellite images or uploaded blueprints to calculate area, perimeter and edge measurements, then convert the drawing into an estimate that calculates tonnage, materials and trucks, with a Vendor Picker showing distances and rates by vendor, default margins and approval thresholds by user. B2W says it provides a pre-populated cost database with templates for crews and pay items, automated error checking for calculation errors and missing line items, and comparison of historical and actual costs.
  • Subs, vendors and bids: B2W sends vendor and subcontractor RFQs automatically, analyzes quotes and can split RFQ groups among multiple bidders. OneCrew turns the estimate and map into a branded proposal sent as a PDF or link for e-signature, tracks who opened it and sends automated follow-ups.
  • After the bid: OneCrew moves signed proposals into a scheduling queue with drag-and-drop crew calendars, people and equipment dispatch and invoicing in the same system; its product updates list project webhooks and vendor document expiration tracking (May 19, 2026). B2W moves estimates to B2W Schedule and B2W Track, manages change orders within the base estimate, supports offline mobile estimating that syncs later, and exports to ERP and accounting systems.
  • AI: both are tagged Not AI-first; the pages we read for either product describe no AI features.
  • Pricing (checked Oct 27, 2026): neither publishes prices. OneCrew offers Book a Demo; B2W Estimate lists Basic, Professional and Enterprise plans, each Talk to us, and Request a demo. See each tool page for detail.
  • Not like-for-like: OneCrew covers a paving company's lead-to-invoice workflow; B2W Estimate is one estimating module in a heavy civil suite.
  • Not used here: OneCrew's projects-proposed, estimating-time and hours-saved figures and B2W's customer quotes (vendor material). Neither tool has been tested by Means & Methods Lab.
