| What it does | Maker of autonomous drones ("flying robots") and software for asset inspection, site mapping, security and drone-as-first-responder use. Products: the X10 multirotor, docks for X10, the dock-based F10 Lightrunner fixed-wing, R10, and software including Asset Command, 3D Scan, and Ops Center. Uses include asset inspection (bridges, utilities, oil & gas), surveying and mapping including construction site progress, physical security, and drone-as-first-responder. Autonomy is the core of the product, so we tag it AI-first. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: the product menu lists X10 and X10D with attachments, Dock for X10, R10 (a compact indoor drone for confined, cluttered and zero-light spaces such as tanks and tunnels), F10 Lightrunner with MegaDock, and Command software for DFR, security, assets and ISR, plus Ops Center, 3D Scan, Skydio Connect and Skydio Paraverse. Construction Site Progress is still listed under surveying and mapping. Customer savings figures on the homepage are not repeated here. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: product menu unchanged in substance (X10 and X10D with attachments, Dock for X10, R10, F10 Lightrunner with MegaDock; DFR, Security, Asset and ISR Command, Ops Center and 3D Scan; Skydio Autonomy, Skydio Connect and Skydio Paraverse); Construction Site Progress is still listed under Surveying & Mapping and Construction under industries. Re-checked Oct 22, 2026: the homepage now leads with F10 Lightrunner (an autonomous, dock-based fixed-wing aircraft for long-range missions); the product menu is otherwise unchanged in substance (X10 and X10D, Dock for X10, R10, Command software, Ops Center, 3D Scan), Construction Site Progress is still listed under Surveying & Mapping, and the events menu lists Ascend 2027. The Bridge Inspection page describes GPS-independent six-camera navigation under bridges, photogrammetry, video and thermal capture, 3D Scan with Onboard Modeling and export to the user's photogrammetry software; the Asset Command page describes missions built from GIS or CMMS asset inventories, per-asset-type capture standards, recurring cycles, docked missions without a pilot on site and written prompts turned into flight plans. Agency counts, time and cost claims and customer quotes are not used. | Structural Lifecycle Management System (SLMS) that turns field inspections into a shared 3D online record for asset managers and engineers. It lists standard inspection templates and tagging, comparable defect classification and prioritization, remediation scopes and capital works plans built from the evidence, and monitoring of change over time to validate repairs. Its maturity model lists integration with CMMS, ERP, BI and AI as the most advanced stage. Vendor claims about a 69% reduction in preventable risk exposure in its client risk assessments (vendor claim, not verified). The CSV says the platform converts drone, robotic and handheld captures. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: the navigation now links Trendspek Autodetect AI, which lets owners bring their own pre-trained models through an Import Tool, train models with a drag-and-drop editor without coding, or have Trendspek build bespoke models, to flag defects such as hairline cracks or corrosion on 3D datasets for expert validation; Trendspek says the customer owns the model and IP. Examples listed are crack detection on concrete silos, corrosion mapping on jetties and equipment recognition. The pricing FAQ now cites 65 to 70% reduction in risk exposure, more than 10x ROI and up to 80% efficiency gains, and a 97-building deployment with 13,500+ virtual site visits and 11,600+ defects (vendor claims, not verified), and lists SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and UKAS certifications. AI is a module on an inspection platform, so the tag stays. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: homepage and Autodetect AI page unchanged in substance (SLMS record; bring-your-own, no-code and bespoke AI models; the customer owns the model and IP). The pricing FAQ says it takes data from drones, ROVs, handheld devices, LiDAR, photos, PDFs, BIM and Excel through a web browser with no special hardware, supports import and export with SAP, Maximo, ArcGIS and BIM, and offers a Structural Lifecycle Success Services advisory and training package; its outcome figures remain vendor claims and are not used. Re-checked Oct 23, 2026: homepage and Autodetect AI page unchanged in substance (bring or build your own detection models with no-code tools; the customer owns the model and IP). Case-study figures are vendor claims and not used. |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Scope (vendor pages): Skydio's product menu lists the X10 and X10D drones, Dock for X10, the R10 indoor drone and the dock-based F10 Lightrunner fixed-wing, plus software (DFR Command, Security Command, Asset Command, ISR Command, Ops Center and 3D Scan); its industries include construction, engineering, transportation, utilities and oil and gas. Trendspek describes a record-centred workflow (records, inspect, analyse and report, plan and remediate, monitor), with partner pathways for engineering and advisory firms, capture partners and technology and robotics partners; its pricing FAQ says it takes data from drones, ROVs, handheld devices, LiDAR, photos, PDFs, BIM and Excel in a web browser.
- Bridge and structure inspection (vendor statements): Skydio's bridge inspection page says its six-camera visual navigation does not rely on GPS, so the drone can hold position under a bridge, and that it captures photogrammetry, video and thermal images. 3D Scan flies the structure automatically and captures overlapping images with metadata, Onboard Modeling shows a 2D or 3D model on site to confirm coverage, and files export to the user's photogrammetry software. Trendspek says engineers review in 3D with standard templates, build work packages from the evidence, and compare cycles to track defects and validate repairs.
- Asset programs: Skydio's Asset Command imports asset inventories from GIS, CMMS or other systems of record, sets the required shots per asset type, schedules recurring cycles, keeps missions inside imported right-of-way boundaries, runs docked missions without a pilot on site and tags every capture with its asset ID for downstream systems through integrations and open APIs. Trendspek's pricing FAQ lists import and export with SAP, Maximo, ArcGIS and BIM, and its top tier adds ERP and CMMS integration.
- Where the AI sits: in Skydio it is flight autonomy (obstacle avoidance, GPS-independent navigation) and, in Asset Command, turning a written description of an asset, route or area into a mission to review. In Trendspek it is Autodetect AI: bring your own trained models, train one with a no-code editor, or have Trendspek build one, to flag defects such as hairline cracks or corrosion on 3D datasets for expert validation; Trendspek says the customer owns the model and IP. The pages we read did not say whether Skydio captures load directly into Trendspek.
- Pricing (checked Oct 23, 2026): Skydio publishes no prices (skydio.com/pricing returns not found; the Resources menu lists Purchasing, Resellers and Contracts). Trendspek lists digital inspections and reporting from $10k a year, workflows for operate and maintain from $15k a year and the full SLMS as custom, after a 40-minute consultation and a pilot on one priority asset; currency and minimums are not stated. Skydio's time and cost claims, agency counts and customer quotes, and Trendspek's risk-reduction percentage, case-study figures and quotes are vendor content and are not used here.
