Kwant.ai vs innDex
Two platforms that pair worker compliance software with facial-recognition access hardware at the site gate. Kwant.ai is a US workforce management and access control platform with turnstiles, facial recognition, smart badges and location sensors feeding attendance, certification tracking and AI reporting. innDex is a UK-based site management platform with a US site version that covers inductions, competencies, fatigue and timesheets alongside health and safety, deliveries, plant, quality and sustainability. Partly like-for-like: both control who gets through the gate and track worker credentials, but innDex's scope reaches further into general site management, and Kwant leans further into wearables, location data and insurance risk data. Desk research from vendor sites read Oct 30, 2026; no winner.
In short: Kwant.ai (Workforce management & access control; no public prices (quote / sales)) vs innDex (Site management platform; no public prices (quote / sales)). Facts last checked Nov 1, 2026. No winner declared; desk research from vendor sites.

| What it does | Construction workforce management combining software and access-control hardware for safety, certifications, attendance and AI reporting. It covers onboarding and safety orientation, COI and worker-certification tracking, mass messaging and alerts, fatigue management, time and attendance, zone analytics (Zone IQ), portfolio analytics and AI reporting, with a Kwant Mobile App and access control hardware (AI-powered facial recognition, smart badges/wearables, location sensors). The access control page says its turnstiles can generally be installed within a day, connect to the access control system via Bluetooth or standalone, are waterproof, ship within 2-14 business days and can take a camera (vendor statements). Vendor describes an AI-powered workforce platform and risk data usable for insurance underwriting (workers' comp, GL, builders' risk, wrap-ups). Markets listed include mission critical, multifamily, manufacturing, airports and oil and gas. Its blog includes an Oct 20, 2026 post titled Kwant Gives the Jobsite Five New Senses ahead of Procore's Groundbreak 2026. "World's first" lines, savings, ROI, productivity and incident-reduction figures and customer quotes are vendor claims and are not used. | UK-based construction site management platform covering workforce, health and safety, logistics, site management, quality and emissions tracking. Its product menu groups modules as Workforce (digital inductions/orientations, CSCS and CPCS competency tracking with expiry alerts, Right to Work records, fatigue and time management, timesheets, access control, allocation sheets), Briefings, Health & Safety (incidents, observations, inspections, permits, toolbox talks, RAMS, point-of-work risk assessments), Assets & Logistics (delivery notes/tickets, transport management, plant and equipment, temporary works), Site Management (progress photos, site messaging, daily diaries), Quality, Sustainability (emissions tracking) and Reports. Access runs through biometric facial recognition turnstiles, portable facial recognition units and tablets, or a geofenced app; its FAQ says it can retrofit units onto existing turnstiles and offers software-only time and attendance on client-owned devices. A US site version uses US terms (orientations, JHAs, punch lists) and features vendor-published case studies. It names integrations with Asite, Procore and SustainIQ plus public APIs, and says it is Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 certified. The homepage does not describe AI; news posts describe AI Delivery Notes in pilot (Aug 2026) and a Navatech partnership for AI safety reporting. Homepage counters are vendor figures and are not used. |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- What each sells (vendor wording): Kwant.ai describes an AI-powered workforce platform covering onboarding, access control, compliance, productivity and risk management. innDex calls itself the ultimate construction site management platform, built by construction for construction.
- Access hardware: Kwant's facial recognition page says its units match up to 6,000 faces in under 0.3 seconds, are IP66 rated and have built-in 4G so no site Wi-Fi is needed; its access control page says its turnstiles can generally be installed within a day, connect via Bluetooth or run standalone, ship in 2-14 business days and can take a camera. innDex lists biometric facial-recognition turnstiles for long-term sites, portable facial recognition units and tablets for rail, highways or multi-phase work, and a geofenced mobile app for clocking in on remote or smaller projects; its FAQ says it can retrofit its facial recognition units onto existing turnstiles from another provider and offers software-only time options on client-owned devices.
- Worker compliance: Kwant lists safety orientation, COI and worker-certification tracking (OSHA and SST cards among them) with expiry alerts, mass messaging, fatigue management and time and attendance. innDex lists inductions, competency management, fatigue management, time management and timesheets, briefings and toolbox talks, with attendance feeding timesheets, reporting and fatigue management.
- Beyond the gate: Kwant adds smart wearables and badges, location sensors, Zone IQ zone analytics, Workforce OS and Portfolio Analytics, and says its risk data can be used for insurance underwriting. innDex adds accidents and incidents, observations, inspections, permits, RAMS, delivery notes, plant and equipment, temporary works, progress photos, daily diaries, quality checklists, snagging and emissions tracking.
- Integrations and security (vendor pages): innDex's FAQ names Asite, Procore and SustainIQ integrations plus public APIs, and says it is Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 certified. The Kwant pages we read did not list integrations outside a customer quote, which is not used here.
- AI (vendor statements): Kwant describes AI reporting and AI-powered facial recognition; we tag it AI features added to an established product. innDex's pages we read describe no AI features in the product; we tag it Not AI-first.
- Pricing (checked Oct 30, 2026): neither publishes prices. Kwant's /pricing returns not found and its demo request mentions custom pricing. innDex's FAQ asks you to contact its sales team for pricing.
- Not used here: Kwant's ROI, savings and incident-reduction figures and customer quotes, and innDex's usage counters and case-study figures (vendor material). Facts for both tools come from vendor websites (desk research).

- Whether your existing turnstiles can be reused with Kwant as innDex says they can with its units
- What either would cost for your number of sites, gates and workers
- What did you use it for, on what kind of work and project size?
- How long did setup and training take, and who on your team did it?
- What does it cost you in practice, compared with what the sales call said?
