Assignar vs Bridgit
Two contractor resource planning tools that plan different people over different horizons. Not like-for-like (our reading): Bridgit plans project teams against the project pipeline (its examples include proposing a team for open roles, suggesting project managers available next month and building a project org chart), while Assignar schedules field crews and equipment day to day for civil and specialty self-perform work and carries hours, dockets and rates through to payroll and invoicing. Vendor pages read Oct 20, 2026; desk research, not tested, no winner.
In short: Assignar (Crew, equipment & compliance scheduling; no public prices (quote / sales)) vs Bridgit (Workforce planning; no public prices (quote / sales)). Facts last checked Oct 20, 2026. No winner declared; not tested.

| What it does | Field-operations platform for civil and specialty contractors covering people and equipment scheduling, timesheets, forms and compliance. It offers drag-and-drop scheduling of people and equipment on the same job, timesheets and dockets from the field, digital forms, plant prestarts and defects, compliance tracking (tickets, licenses, orientations, expiry alerts), geo-location on timesheet/form submission, reporting, and ERP/accounting integrations. Homepage targets asphalt, concrete, drilling, piling, excavation, earthworks, rail, scaffolding, crane, demolition, traffic management and more, and cites 800+ customers. Workforce-management pages describe matching skills to tasks, predicting limited resources, and managing subcontractor licenses. Pricing page says pricing is tailored / custom quote with a test drive via demo; the pages we read on Oct 16, 2026 did not describe generative AI. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: the navigation now includes an AI Construction Expert page introducing Milo, an assistant in Assignar Pay that answers plain-English questions from your uploaded contracts, enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs), tickets and dockets and shows the source clause (the page's examples: when a shift triggers overtime, or which clause supports a variation). Because Milo sits inside the established Assignar platform, we now tag it AI features added. The 800+ customers figure is unchanged (vendor claim). Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: the homepage calls Assignar a construction operations margin control platform and describes live job margin against the bid budget, award, bargaining agreement and plant hire rates (wet, dry, standby and travel) applied automatically with payroll and invoicing from the same record, and unbilled work and open variations surfaced while the job runs; the menu lists Assignar Pay, Assignar Operations, Milo, CraneOps, InfraOps and TrafficOps. The Milo page is unchanged in substance. | Workforce planning for contractors (Bridgit Bench) with one view of projects, roles and people, plus pipeline modeling to see staffing gaps. People records include job history, skills, certifications, location, and availability; pipeline modeling to see staffing gaps; SMS/email assignment alerts. Bridgit AI answers questions and agents can act on approved recommendations. Vendor says it is trusted by nearly 40% of top contractors (vendor claim). Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: the homepage still describes Bridgit AI (now billed as an agentic workforce planning assistant) and agents that act on approved recommendations, and promotes a 2026 State of Workforce Planning report. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: unchanged in substance; the Bridgit AI page groups Ask Bridgit, Custom Reports, Agents (suggesting assignments, building balanced teams, summarizing project changes and building org charts, with a person reviewing and confirming proposed actions) and a Bridgit MCP that connects live Bridgit data to other AI platforms, and the integrations page lists pre-built connectors including Autodesk Build, Procore, CMiC, Trimble, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Unanet CRM, HubSpot, Workday, BambooHR, UKG, ADP and Snowflake, plus an open API. |
| Who it's for | Civil and specialty contractors' schedulers, field supervisors, operations and payroll teams (US, Canada, Australia per sales numbers on site). | General contractors' operations, HR, and leadership teams. |
| Pricing (as publicly stated) | Not publicly listed. Pricing page FAQ (re-checked Oct 16, Oct 19 and Oct 20, 2026) says pricing is tailored to your team's needs with a custom quote through a demo, and that a test drive is offered. (The dollar figure on the page is a customer savings claim, not a price.) Earlier note (Oct 15, 2026): Not publicly listed (pricing page: tailored quote via demo; test drive offered). | No public prices found (checked Oct 16, 2026; unchanged Oct 19 and Oct 20, 2026, when /pricing still showed the homepage and /plans returned not-found): the vendor site has no pricing or plans link in its navigation or footer; gobridgit.com/pricing redirects to the homepage and /plans returns a not-found page. The site's calls to action include "Book a demo". Confirm current pricing with the vendor. |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Planning horizon: Bridgit gives one view of projects, roles and people and models workforce needs against a real-time view of the project pipeline, to show where gaps are forming, when to hire and whether you can take on the next bid; CRM pursuit data can feed probability-based scenarios before award. Assignar schedules the day and week: drag-and-drop allocation of workers, crews and equipment to tasks in a timeline based on availability and qualifications, bulk allocations, role-based assignments and job confirmations from the field.
- People and machines: Bridgit's internal resumes hold job history, skills, certifications, location and availability for each person; the pages we read do not describe equipment scheduling. Assignar schedules machines and operators together and says it catches conflicts before the float is booked, with plant prestarts, defects and condition history tied to each asset.
- Field capture: Assignar's mobile app lets workers clock in and out and fill in timesheets (or supervisors complete them for a crew), submit dockets and digital forms, and lets key staff create work orders and update the schedule on site. Bridgit's field-facing features are assignment alerts by SMS or email, project-wide announcements and notes kept on each person's profile; the pages we read do not describe time capture.
- Money: Assignar applies award, bargaining agreement and plant hire rates (wet, dry, standby and travel) automatically, runs payroll and invoicing from the same record of work, and shows live job margin against the bid budget with unbilled work and open variations. Bridgit's pages we read do not describe payroll, rates or job costing.
- Where the AI sits: Bridgit AI includes Ask Bridgit (plain-language questions from any page), custom reports, agents that suggest assignments, build balanced teams, summarize recent project changes and build org charts for bids, with a person reviewing and confirming proposed actions, and an MCP that connects live Bridgit data to other AI platforms. Assignar's AI is Milo, an assistant sold with Assignar Pay that answers questions from your uploaded contracts, bargaining agreements, tickets and dockets and shows the source (its examples: when a shift triggers overtime, or which clause supports a variation).
- Integrations: Bridgit lists pre-built connectors for Autodesk Build, Procore, CMiC, Trimble, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Unanet CRM, HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive, Workday, BambooHR, UKG, Oracle, ADP, Namely, Snowflake and Microsoft Office 365, plus an open API with Swagger docs. Assignar's integrations page shows Acumatica, Employment Hero, Explorer, Foundation, MYOB, QuickBooks Desktop and Online, Sage 100 and 300, simPRO, Spectrum, Vista, Workbench and Xero among its connected and import/export integrations, and offers a public API as an add-on. We found no stated integration between the two.
- Who each is for: Bridgit's menus target general, self-perform and specialty contractors and roles in workforce and operations, project management and superintendents, HR, and marketing and business development. Assignar targets civil contractors in asphalt, concrete, drilling, piling, excavation, earthworks, rail, scaffolding, crane, demolition and traffic management, among others, with views for finance, business leaders and field operations.
- AI tags: both stay AI features added: Bridgit AI and Milo sit inside established planning and operations products.
- Pricing (checked Oct 20, 2026): neither publishes prices. Bridgit has no pricing page (gobridgit.com/pricing shows the homepage) and its call to action is a demo. Assignar's pricing page says pricing is tailored with a custom quote and offers a test drive through a demo.
- Not used here: Bridgit's share-of-top-contractors claim, survey figures and customers' time-saved quotes, Assignar's customer counts, efficiency, payroll-time and rework figures, its illustrative margin-leak percentages and review-site badges, and both vendors' customer quotes. Neither tool has been tested by Means & Methods Lab.
