| What it does | CRM built for construction with AI built in; vendor states SOC 2 Type II and 10+ integrations. Re-read Oct 17, 2026: the homepage lists voice-enabled AI note taking, business card scanning and contact enrichment on mobile, deal and revenue forecasting, a public API and MCP Connect for AI tools and agents, plus customer-reported survey figures (90% better adoption than their previous CRM, 73% more confidence in go/no-go decisions, 91% better pipeline visibility; vendor-reported, not verified). Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: homepage and plans page unchanged in substance; the homepage names customer stories (KIER Construction, UJAMAA and a 60-year-old architecture firm), and the plans page lists add-ons (additional users, integrations, DataHub storage, on-site training), a five-step enterprise implementation (data preparation, platform setup, QA and testing, training, post-launch) and, on Scale, advanced analytics and forecasting with quarterly business reviews. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: plans page unchanged in substance (Starter up to 6 users, Scale up to 10, Enterprise 10+, the same add-ons and five-step enterprise implementation). Review-site ratings on the page are not used here. Re-checked Oct 23, 2026: plans page unchanged in substance and now adds an ROI calculator; the integrations page lists native Procore, Vista, BuildingConnected, Gmail, Outlook and Adobe InDesign integrations with Spectrum coming soon, a public API (naming Power BI, Kroo and Mercator.ai), and MCP Connect, which it says brings ProjectMark data into OpenAI/ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. A footer link addressed to AI tools was not followed or used. | Business development platform with a Procore integration for forecasting and planning from bid to completion. Listed at Groundbreak as ContractorBi, linking to topbuildersolutions.com. Re-read Oct 17, 2026: the homepage describes one platform with TopBuilder CRM (leads, bids, proposals and client communication), ContractorBI (real-time financial and project dashboards and forecasts, offered as a free trial) and Construction Data Services (unifying ERP, project management, estimating and CRM data), plus a mobile app; integrations listed include Procore, Viewpoint Spectrum, Sage, Acumatica, BuildingConnected, STACK and B2W. The pages we read do not describe AI features. Star-rated reviewer quotes on the homepage were not used. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: homepage and Procore page unchanged in substance; the menu also lists email marketing software, and the pages still do not describe AI features. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: homepage unchanged in substance; the ContractorBI page offers a free 14-day trial and describes dashboards for revenue, project schedule and financial performance with Excel workbook import and Procore, Sage and Autodesk Construction Cloud connections; the Construction CRM page lists centralized emails, calls and meetings, automated follow-up tasks, email marketing and the mobile app, and its FAQ mentions QuickBooks and Sage integrations; the Procore page lists synced accounts, contacts, jobs, bid opportunities, documents, estimates, budget items and job cost data. The pages still do not describe AI features. Re-checked Oct 22, 2026: homepage, Construction CRM and ContractorBI pages unchanged in substance (CRM with bid tracking, email marketing and a free iOS and Android app; ContractorBI dashboards for project performance, revenue growth and project lifecycle that connect to Procore, Sage, Autodesk Construction Cloud and more; the integrations list still includes BuildingConnected). The pages still do not describe AI features. Reviewer quotes on the homepage were not used. Re-checked Oct 24, 2026: homepage unchanged in substance (Construction CRM, ContractorBI, Construction Data Services, free iOS and Android app, bid management, proposals and email marketing; integrations with Procore, Acumatica, BuildingConnected, Sage, STACK, Viewpoint Spectrum and B2W). The homepage title now calls it "the most intelligent construction CRM" and a banner promotes turning Procore data into financial answers, but the pages we read still do not describe AI features, so the Not AI-first tag stays. Re-checked Oct 26, 2026: homepage unchanged in substance (construction CRM with ContractorBI, Data Services, a mobile app, bid management, proposals and email marketing; integrations named include Procore, Acumatica, BuildingConnected, Sage, STACK, Viewpoint Spectrum and B2W); a Who We Help menu lists CFOs and controllers, specialty, general and roofing contractors, electricians and plumbers. Still no AI described, so the Not AI-first tag stays. |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Pipeline and relationships: ProjectMark's homepage describes a standardized opportunity pipeline with project value, stage, fit and probability, relationship history, a pipeline dashboard, deal and revenue forecasting, instant analytics, custom reporting, content, task and contact management and a team calendar. TopBuilder's Construction CRM page describes centralizing emails, calls and meetings, automated follow-up tasks and reminders, shared calendars, real-time bid and opportunity status, a view of the whole sales funnel, and sales and revenue forecasts.
- Bids and quotes: TopBuilder describes bringing activity from bidding websites into one place, scoring bids on company criteria such as job type and industry, adding profitability and payment history through an ERP integration, building quotes from pre-defined options, quantities and prices with estimating-software pricing, and electronic signatures. ProjectMark focuses on go/no-go pursuit decisions and pipeline fit; its pages read today do not describe quoting.
- Proposals and marketing: ProjectMark's Adobe InDesign integration brings approved project, company, contact and team data and Data Hub assets into proposals. TopBuilder lists proposals and documents (including turning Excel worksheets into proposals) and email marketing with open-rate, click-through and conversion tracking and automated follow-up emails based on behavior and bid score.
- Integrations: ProjectMark lists native Procore, Vista, BuildingConnected, Gmail, Outlook and Adobe InDesign integrations with Spectrum coming soon, a public API (naming Power BI, Kroo and Mercator.ai) and MCP Connect for OpenAI/ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini; its plans page lists integrations as paid add-ons. TopBuilder lists Procore, Acumatica, BuildingConnected, Sage, STACK, Viewpoint Spectrum and B2W, plus Outlook, Gmail and Excel.
- Beyond the CRM: TopBuilder's homepage pairs the CRM with ContractorBI financial and project dashboards and forecasts (aimed partly at CFOs and controllers) and Construction Data Services, which unifies ERP, project management, estimating and CRM data. ProjectMark's mobile app adds tap-to-dial, voice-enabled AI note taking and business card scanning with contact enrichment; TopBuilder also offers a free iOS and Android app.
- AI: ProjectMark is tagged as AI features added to an established product (AI built in per its homepage, plus MCP Connect); it states SOC 2 Type II certification. TopBuilder's homepage title calls it the most intelligent construction CRM, but its pages read today do not describe AI features, so it stays tagged Not AI-first.
- Pricing (checked Oct 28, 2026): ProjectMark's plans page lists Starter (up to 6 users) and Scale (up to 10 users) as Request pricing and Enterprise (10+ users) as Talk to our team, with implementation, support and enrichment credits included and integrations as paid add-ons. TopBuilder publishes no prices (/pricing returns a not-found page); its homepage offers a ContractorBI free trial. See each tool page for detail.
- Mostly like-for-like on the CRM core; ProjectMark leans toward AEC pursuit visibility, AI note taking and AI-tool connections, while TopBuilder leans toward specialty-contractor bid scoring, quoting and email marketing with financial dashboards alongside.
- Not used here: ProjectMark's customer-reported survey percentages, G2 rating and review count and case-study material, and TopBuilder's quoting-speed line, reviewer quotes and case studies (vendor material). Neither tool has been tested by Means & Methods Lab.
