TrebleHook vs Unanet CRM by Cosential
Two CRMs built for architecture, engineering and construction firms, built in different ways. TrebleHook runs on Salesforce (platform licenses included in TrebleHook CRM, or layered into a firm's own Sales Cloud org); Unanet CRM by Cosential is Unanet's own AEC CRM, sold alongside Unanet ERP and ProposalAI. Vendor pages read Oct 21, 2026; desk research, not tested, no winner.

| AI role (our label) | Not AI-first | AI features added to established product |
| What it does | CRM built on Salesforce for AEC pursuits, client relationships and pipeline, integrating with Outlook, Microsoft 365, Procore and Egnyte. Its AI Vision page describes AI pursuit and relationship intelligence as roadmap work for 2025-2026 ("we are building"), not as shipped features, so we do not label it as AI. Re-read Oct 17, 2026: the plans page now says both offerings include "AI pursuit intelligence" (automatic RFP intake, fit scoring and go/no-go recommendations with reasoning) and a TrebleHook Score for win probability, and its FAQ says pursuit intelligence scores incoming RFPs against the firm's own pursuit history; TrebleHook for Sales Cloud adds Agentforce and AI-assisted proposal generation. The homepage feature list still does not describe AI and the AI Vision page still frames this as 2025-2026 roadmap work, so we keep the Not AI-first label for now. Integrations listed: Outlook, Microsoft 365, Procore, Egnyte and OpenAsset. TrebleHook CRM includes Salesforce platform licenses; TrebleHook for Sales Cloud is implemented by Hunley, its in-house Salesforce consultancy. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: plans page unchanged in substance; it now shows the pricing basis as per user per month for TrebleHook CRM and per user or organization-wide for TrebleHook for Sales Cloud, and the AI Vision page (titled TrebleHook AI Vision 2026) still frames its AI pillars as roadmap work through 2025 and 2026, so the label stays Not AI-first. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: the plans page now adds a sizing guide (TrebleHook CRM for small to mid-sized teams of roughly up to ~150 employees, live in 30 days and implemented by the TrebleHook delivery team; TrebleHook for Sales Cloud for ~150+ or multi-division and multi-office organizations, scoped per organization and implemented by Hunley) and still says both include AI pursuit intelligence and the TrebleHook Score. The AI Vision 2026 page still says "we are building" and frames its AI pillars as roadmap work through 2025 and 2026, and the homepage feature list (pursuit management, client relationship tracking, proposal and document automation with eSignatures, dashboards, tasks, mobile access) still does not describe AI, so the label stays Not AI-first. Customer case-study results and quotes are not used. | CRM built for architecture, engineering and construction firms (formerly Cosential), which Unanet calls AI-first. Listed areas: relationship management inside Outlook, pipeline management and forecasting for seller-doers and BD teams, proposal generation, a service portal, and Champ agents, described as the agentic AI experience for Unanet CRM across relationships, pursuits and proposals. The proposals page says the CRM compiles project, financial and HR data into a marketing and proposal library: track proposals and RFPs, manage team experience and qualifications, generate pre-formatted qualification statements and project profiles, batch resumes and project descriptions, and export to PDF or RTF with integration to Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word. Listed integrations include Viewpoint, Procore, Sage 100, Sage 300 and Trimble Construction; Unanet says the CRM shares a platform and data lake with Unanet ERP. Unanet ProposalAI is a separate product that can connect to it (see its own page). On Oct 16, 2026 Unanet said the CRM holds the largest market share among AEC firms that use a CRM (vendor claim). Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: the overview still calls Unanet CRM AI-first and lists Champ, Outlook relationship management, pipeline forecasting and proposal generation; a new FAQ says it connects with ERP, accounting and project-management systems such as Unanet, Deltek, Trimble, Sage and Procore. The largest-market-share line we recorded Oct 16 is no longer on the overview page. The proposals page is unchanged and now points to Unanet ProposalAI as the AI-first proposal workflow; it cites up to 75% less manual proposal time (vendor claim, not verified). Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: overview unchanged in substance (AI-first CRM for AEC, Champ, Outlook relationship management, pipeline forecasting, Viewpoint, Procore, Sage 100, Sage 300 and Trimble Construction integrations, and the FAQ on ERP and accounting connections); the proposals page still points to Unanet ProposalAI as the AI-first proposal workflow. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: overview unchanged in substance (AI-first CRM for AEC, Champ agents, Outlook relationship management, pipeline forecasting, proposal generation, Viewpoint, Procore, Sage 100, Sage 300 and Trimble Construction integrations). Its FAQ now has seven questions, adding why CRM implementations fail at AEC firms, faster proposals, preserving institutional knowledge, pipeline visibility and forecasting, and deciding which opportunities to pursue; only the first answer expanded in our read. The page shows 1.5m opportunities created, 465k projects won and 32k users (vendor counters, not used). The proposals page is unchanged and still points to Unanet ProposalAI as the AI-first proposal workflow. |

Confirm current pricing with the vendor. Re-checked Oct 17, 2026: still no figures; TrebleHook for Sales Cloud lists flexible pricing per user or organization-wide and requires Sales Cloud licenses, which it says it can include in a single engagement. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: still no figures. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: still no figures; the comparison table lists TrebleHook CRM as per user, per month and TrebleHook for Sales Cloud as per user or organization-wide. | No public prices found (checked Oct 16, 2026): the CRM pages link no pricing or plans page, unanet.com/pricing returns a not-found page, and the call to action is "Talk to an Expert". Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Platform: TrebleHook's plans page lists two offerings. TrebleHook CRM includes the Salesforce platform licenses and is aimed at small to mid-sized AEC teams (roughly up to ~150 employees, live in 30 days per the vendor). TrebleHook for Sales Cloud runs natively in a firm's Sales Cloud org for organizations of ~150+ or multi-division firms, is implemented by Hunley (TrebleHook's in-house Salesforce consultancy) and needs Sales Cloud licenses, which TrebleHook says it can include. Unanet calls its CRM the only enterprise CRM that is AI-first and built specifically for AEC companies; its menus sell it next to Unanet ERP for A&E and ProposalAI for AEC.
- AI (our reading): TrebleHook's plans page says both offerings include AI pursuit intelligence (automatic RFP intake, fit scoring and go/no-go recommendations with reasoning) and a TrebleHook Score for win probability, and Sales Cloud adds Agentforce and AI-assisted proposal generation. Its AI Vision 2026 page still says "we are building" and frames its AI pillars as roadmap work through 2025 and 2026, and the homepage feature list does not describe AI, so we keep TrebleHook tagged Not AI-first; ask to see the scoring live. Unanet describes Champ agents as the agentic AI experience for Unanet CRM across relationships, pursuits and proposals, and points to the separate ProposalAI product for AI proposal drafting; we tag it AI features added to an established product.
- Proposals: TrebleHook lists branded templates for resumes and proposals, approval routing and eSignatures, and central tagged storage of pursuit content. Unanet's proposals page says the CRM compiles project, financial and HR data into a marketing and proposal library, generates pre-formatted qualification statements and project profiles, batches resumes and project descriptions, and exports to PDF or RTF with Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word integration.
- Email and integrations: TrebleHook names Outlook, Microsoft 365, Procore, Egnyte and OpenAsset. Unanet puts relationship management inside Outlook and names Viewpoint, Procore, Sage 100, Sage 300 and Trimble Construction integrations.
- Who each pitches to: TrebleHook's homepage has sections for general contractors (pre-construction pursuits and bids), subcontractors (bids and prequal tasks), architects and engineers. Unanet's overview speaks to seller-doers, BD and marketing teams at architecture, engineering and construction firms.
- Pricing (checked Oct 21, 2026): neither publishes figures. TrebleHook CRM is priced per user per month; TrebleHook for Sales Cloud per user or organization-wide, plus Sales Cloud licenses. Unanet's CRM pages link no pricing page, unanet.com/pricing returns not found, and the call to action is Talk to an Expert.
- Not used here: TrebleHook's customer case-study results and quotes, and Unanet's 1.5m opportunities, 465k projects won and 32k users counters and customer quotes (vendor content). Neither tool has been tested by Means & Methods Lab.
