Koncurent vs Krane

Two tools for the procurement log that sits between submittals, the schedule and material on site, built very differently. Koncurent is a spreadsheet-style procurement log that syncs with Procore: it pulls or posts submittals and links procurement items to schedule tasks, with custom reporting and a project dashboard. Krane is an AI-native procurement and material management platform (Krane Procurement OS) whose six AI collaborators build procurement and submittal logs from specs and drawings, chase lead times, link install activities to submittals and materials, and schedule deliveries. Partly like-for-like (our reading): both keep a live procurement log tied to submittals and the schedule, but Koncurent is a Procore-connected log your team fills in and Krane builds and works the log with AI. Desk research from vendor sites read Oct 31, 2026; no winner.

What it doesSpreadsheet-style procurement log that syncs with Procore: connect to Procore, push or pull submittals and specs, and link procurement items to schedule tasks. The homepage (which renders only in a browser; a plain request returns an almost empty page) shows Procurement Log, Custom Reporting and Project Dashboard screens, names Procore as its only integration and does not describe AI features. Customer quotes are not used.AI-native procurement and materials platform (Krane Procurement OS) that the vendor says flags procurement risks before they hit the schedule. The homepage describes a six-agent Krane Crew of AI collaborators: Theo (marked new; Procurement OS: reads specs, finds materials, scores suppliers, screens bids and flags risk, surfacing lead times from live project data and supplier and compliance risks), Milo (procurement log and critical-path materials from specs and drawings), Lana (submittal log and document QC), Chase (follows up with trade partners by call, email or text for missing lead times and flags log risks), Arlo (ties install activities to submittals and materials) and Rio (delivery scheduling, dock conflicts and late-arrival follow-up). Products named: Procurement OS, Material Management, Auto Log (material lists and submittals from drawings and specs) and Delivery. The site has a Data Centers section, and vendor-published case studies (Jan 2026) cover a student housing project and a hospital project. Active-project dollar figures and delay-reduction percentages are vendor claims and are not used.

Where the vendor descriptions differ

  • Building the log: Koncurent says you build a live procurement tracking log with your team, with an Excel-like feel, importing Procore submittals and specs or creating and posting submittals from Koncurent. Krane says Milo turns specs and drawings into a procurement log and identifies critical-path materials, and Lana turns them into a submittal log and QCs the documents, for your team to review (vendor statements).
  • Schedule link: Koncurent links procurement items to schedule tasks. Krane says Arlo ties install activities to submittals and materials (vendor statements).
  • Follow-up and delivery: Krane describes Chase following up with trade partners by call, email or text for lead times, Theo scoring suppliers and screening bids, and Rio scheduling deliveries and flagging dock conflicts and late arrivals. Koncurent's homepage does not describe supplier follow-up or delivery scheduling (vendor statements, our reading).
  • Connections: Koncurent names Procore as its integration (submittals and specs sync in real time). Krane's homepage says it integrates with construction platforms and accounting systems without naming them in the text we read (vendor statements).
  • AI (our reading): Krane is AI-first, built around its AI collaborators. Koncurent's pages describe no AI and it is tagged Not AI-first.
  • Pricing (checked Oct 31, 2026): neither publishes prices. Koncurent's buying path is Book a Demo; Krane's /pricing redirects to a Schedule Demo form.
  • Not used here: customer quotes, Krane's active-project dollar figure and its delay-reduction percentage (vendor claims). Facts for both tools come from vendor websites (desk research).

Questions to ask in your review

  • Which systems Krane connects to beyond what its homepage implies, and whether it syncs with Procore submittals the way Koncurent does
  • How much of Krane's AI output a team reviews and corrects before the log is usable
  • What either costs per project or per company
  • What did you use it for, on what kind of work and project size?
  • How long did setup and training take, and who on your team did it?
  • What does it cost you in practice, compared with what the sales call said?
