Koncurent vs Field Materials

Two procurement tools for contractors that cover different ends of the job. Koncurent is a spreadsheet-style procurement log that syncs with Procore: it pulls or posts submittals and specs and links procurement items to schedule tasks, with custom reporting and a project dashboard. Field Materials is material management software built around AI agents for quotes, purchase orders, delivery records, AP invoice matching, inventory, expenses and material pricing, for trade contractors and self-performing GCs. Not like-for-like (our reading): Koncurent tracks what needs to be bought and when against submittals and the schedule; Field Materials runs the buying, receiving and paying. Desk research from vendor sites read Nov 4, 2026; no winner.

What it doesSpreadsheet-style procurement log that syncs with Procore: connect to Procore, push or pull submittals and specs, and link procurement items to schedule tasks. The homepage (which renders only in a browser; a plain request returns an almost empty page) shows Procurement Log, Custom Reporting and Project Dashboard screens, names Procore as its only integration and does not describe AI features. Customer quotes are not used.Material management software (branded Field Materials AI) that leads with AI agents for procurement, AP automation and inventory management. Modules listed: quote management (send a bill of materials or field requisition as an RFQ; AI, with pre-trained and custom quote-reading agents, matches vendor quote PDFs to RFQ line items; AI bid leveling recommends options on price and lead time; then buyouts or POs from selected quote lines), purchase orders, delivery records (upload delivery slips and AI matches them to POs), AP automation with AI invoice scanning and 3-way validation, inventory, prefabrication, expense management (mobile receipt photos with AI scanning, job and cost coding, posting approved receipts to the ERP, Will Call orders where field staff reserve a PO number and AI itemizes the packing slip, iOS/Android app in English and Spanish) and pricing intelligence (AI agents read material prices from quotes, invoices and receipts and track them by vendor, project and cost code). An AI Agents page describes automation agents written in plain English that act as users with an audit trail. Where the vendor descriptions differ

  • Core job: Koncurent says you build a live procurement tracking log with your team, with an Excel-like feel, importing Procore submittals or creating and posting them from Koncurent, and link procurement items to schedule tasks. Field Materials sends a bill of materials or field requisition out as an RFQ, reads vendor quote PDFs with AI, recommends options on price and lead time, and turns selected quote lines into buyouts or POs (vendor statements).
  • After the order: Field Materials lists delivery records (AI matches uploaded delivery slips to POs), AP automation with AI invoice scanning and 3-way validation, inventory, prefabrication, expense management and pricing intelligence that tracks material prices by vendor, project and cost code. Koncurent's homepage does not describe purchasing, receiving or invoices (vendor statements, our reading).
  • Connections: Koncurent names Procore as its integration (submittals and specs sync). Field Materials lists Procore, CMiC, Foundation, Sage 100/300 CRE/Intacct, Deltek ComputerEase, Viewpoint Vista and Spectrum, QuickBooks Online and Desktop, and Stratus (vendor statements).
  • AI (our reading): Field Materials leads with AI agents, including plain-English automation agents that act as users with an audit trail. Koncurent's pages describe no AI and it is tagged Not AI-first.
  • Pricing (read Nov 4, 2026): neither publishes prices. Koncurent's buying path is Book a Demo. Field Materials says it is free for material vendors and contractors pay a subscription based on organization size and procurement volume, quoted after a demo. See each tool page for detail.
  • Not used here: customer quotes, savings and processing-time figures (vendor material). Facts for both tools come from vendor websites (desk research).
