| What it does | Bid management inside the Procore platform for bid packages, invitations to bid, bid tracking and side-by-side bid leveling. Users create bid packages with project info, documents, drawings and specs pulled from Procore Project Management; send invitations to bid and monitor bid activity from one dashboard; compare bids side by side with bid leveling to identify gaps and outliers; standardized templates and centralized tracking. Vendor also lists trade-partner prequalification with what it calls subcontractor risk analysis, and converting bids to contracts that update the budget. The bid management page we read does not describe AI features in bid leveling itself; it links to Procore AI (agents) as a separate capability. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: the bid management page still covers packages, invitations, tracking and side-by-side leveling, and still links to Procore AI agents as a separate capability; the pricing page still asks for an estimate on annual contracts with unlimited users and unlimited data and lists no dollar figures. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: the bid management page is unchanged in substance (packages autopopulated from Procore Project Management, invitations, one-dashboard tracking, side-by-side leveling, trade partner qualification, conversion to subcontracts or purchase orders that update the budget) and still links to Procore AI agents as a separate capability. Re-checked Oct 22, 2026: the bid management page is unchanged in substance (autopopulated packages, invitations, one-dashboard tracking, side-by-side leveling, trade partner prequalification with subcontractor risk analysis, conversion to subcontracts or purchase orders that update the budget), still links to Procore AI agents as a separate capability, and names Unanet, Docusign, Compass and Sage among 500+ integrations. Review-site ratings and the customer quote are not used. Re-checked Oct 23, 2026: the bid management page is unchanged in substance (create, manage, level and track bid invitations with standardized templates and centralized tracking; trade partner qualification with subcontractor risk analysis; estimate, bid, contract and financials in one system; bid packages autopopulated from Procore Project Management and conversion to subcontracts or purchase orders that update the budget); Procore AI is still linked as a separate capability, and Unanet, Docusign and Compass are named among 500+ integrations. Review-site ratings and the customer quote are not used. | Bid management for GCs, now part of ConstructConnect, covering invites, a plan room, a sub database and bid comparison. Bids can be compared side by side. It is web-based and mobile; users send invitations to bid from templates, an online plan room with tracking of which subcontractors view and download plans, a private subcontractor database (organize by trade, location, minority status), prequalification with a ConsensusDocs 721 form integration and a custom questionnaire builder, and BidTabs for comparing subcontractor bid submissions side by side. Integrations listed include Procore, Autodesk BIM 360, Dropbox and the ConstructConnect sub network. The pages we read do not describe AI features. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: the pricing page is unchanged in substance (same license contents; Procore, Autodesk BIM 360, Dropbox and ConstructConnect Network integrations; on-site training at extra cost), and the pages we read still do not describe AI features. Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Where it lives: Procore Bid Management is one capability of the Procore platform; bid packages are autopopulated with project info, documents, drawings and specs from Procore Project Management. SmartBid is a web-based and mobile bid management product for general contractors, now part of the ConstructConnect platform, with its own online plan room.
- Bid workflow: Procore says users create, manage, level and track bid invitations with standardized templates and centralized tracking, and compare bids side by side to spot gaps and outliers. SmartBid sends invitations to bid from custom messages or a template library, tracks which subcontractors view and download plan files, and compares subcontractor bid submissions side by side with BidTabs.
- Subcontractors and prequalification: Procore describes trade partner qualification with what it calls subcontractor risk analysis. SmartBid manages a private subcontractor database organized by trade, location and minority status, offers ConsensusDocs 721 prequalification with a custom questionnaire builder, and lists sub and supplier search through the ConstructConnect sub network.
- After award: Procore converts the selected bid into a subcontract or purchase order and says its Project Financials budget updates immediately. SmartBid lists a Procore integration to move projects, subs and documents from preconstruction into construction, plus Autodesk BIM 360 and Dropbox integrations and full API access.
- AI: the Procore bid management page links to Procore AI agents as a separate capability and does not describe AI in bid leveling itself. The SmartBid pages read do not describe AI features.
- Pricing: neither publishes dollar figures. Procore prices annual contracts by custom quote with unlimited users, data and 24/7 support. SmartBid sells an Annual Standard License scaled by number of users; invited subcontractors use it at no cost, faxing is 8 cents per page and on-site training costs extra.
- Not used here: Procore review-site ratings and customer quote, and SmartBid customer quotes and case-study time savings.
