What it doesAutodesk bid management platform: find and qualify subs, send bid invitations, track responses, and compare bids. Autodesk says AI features are available in BuildingConnected Pro, Bid Board Pro, and TradeTapp, for example a Recommendation Engine that suggests bidders by location, trade expertise, and past performance; Bid Forwarding, which pulls key details from bid invitations received outside BuildingConnected into Bid Board; and TradeTapp Financial Data Extraction, which turns PDF financial statements into structured data. Autodesk notes some of its AI features do not use machine learning, and points to its Trust Center for which features use training data (re-checked Oct 16, 2026). Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: the product page still describes Recommendation Engine, Bid Forwarding and TradeTapp Financial Data Extraction under Autodesk AI, and the pricing page still offers Request a Quote with flexible user, project and account-based pricing. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: unchanged in substance; the page now carries a banner saying Autodesk Construction Cloud is part of Autodesk Forma and product names have been updated. Flag: the product page says over 1,000,000 construction professionals in one line and 1.5M+ in another, and the pricing page says 1.5+ million builders; we use none of these network counts. Re-checked Oct 22, 2026: unchanged in substance; the Forma banner is still shown, the product family is still BuildingConnected Pro for GCs and owners, Bid Board Pro for subcontractors and TradeTapp for qualification, and the AI FAQ still describes Recommendation Engine, Bid Forwarding and TradeTapp Financial Data Extraction with the Trust Center note. The pages name Autodesk Docs and Autodesk Build Cost Management (turning winning bids into contracts) as integrations. Network and percentage figures and customer quotes on the pages are not used here. Re-checked Oct 23, 2026: product page and FAQ unchanged in substance (BuildingConnected Pro, Bid Board Pro and TradeTapp; AI features named as the Recommendation Engine, Bid Forwarding and TradeTapp Financial Data Extraction). Network size, project counts and customer percentages are vendor figures and not used.Construction project data and preconstruction software to find projects, do takeoff and estimating, and manage bids. Products listed include Intelligent Leads, ConstructConnect Takeoff ("AI Powered Takeoff"), Takeoff BOOST (AI plan measuring), On-Screen Takeoff, and PlanSwift. Re-read Oct 17, 2026: the homepage now promotes Takeoff BOOST (upload a plan and watch it measure in the browser, free to try) and lists Intelligent Leads, ConstructConnect Takeoff, Takeoff as a Service, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, Quick Bid, QuoteSoft, SmartBid, Bid Management and iSqFt for GCs; it cites 100K+ commercial construction professionals (vendor figure). Second re-read Oct 17, 2026: the Project Intelligence page says project information combines human expertise with AI, cites 1.4 million+ active private and public projects updated daily by an in-house research team (the homepage cites 825,000+ active projects and 382 metro areas; vendor figures, not verified), and describes Material Intelligence (Material Quantities), a beta search that uses AI to pull materials, quantities and manufacturers from plans and schedules; an Oct 16 blog post calls it a qualifying step, not a substitute for verifying the plans. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: homepage and pricing are unchanged in substance. The Project Intelligence page now cites 825,000+ projects and, further down, over 1 million public and private projects across 400+ markets sourced from 60,000+ contacts; the 1.4 million figure we recorded Oct 17 is no longer on the page. Material Quantities is still described as AI pulling materials, quantities and manufacturers from plans and schedules (vendor figures, not verified). Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: homepage unchanged in substance (Takeoff BOOST, the same product list, 100K+ professionals, Material Intelligence by material quantities). Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: unchanged in substance; the homepage's featured content now includes Advanced Auto Takeoff for flooring, and the Project Intelligence page and pricing table still list Ask Docs AI-based document searching. Re-checked Oct 22, 2026: unchanged in substance; the homepage calls it construction data and software powered by AI and describes On-Screen Takeoff as using AI-enabled tools, and the pricing page now adds a five-question plan finder. Flag: the Project Intelligence page cites 825,000+ projects and 1 million+ projects across 400+ markets, while its FAQ again cites over 1.4 million active private and public projects; we use none of these figures. Re-checked Oct 23, 2026: homepage unchanged in substance (Takeoff BOOST AI takeoff, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift and QuoteSoft; Bid Management, SmartBid and iSqFt for bid packages; Project Intelligence with Ask Docs AI document search).

Where the vendor descriptions differ

  • Starting point: BuildingConnected describes bid management for finding partners on its Builders Network, sending bids, comparing bids and managing subcontractor risk. ConstructConnect describes Project Intelligence for finding active projects by keyword, trade, location and stage, then carrying the details into takeoff and bid management.
  • Bid management: BuildingConnected Pro lists bid invitations, apples-to-apples bid comparison, performance metrics and historical cost tracking; Bid Board Pro gives subs a bid board with a plan room and bid forwarding. ConstructConnect says you create and manage bid packages in ConstructConnect Bid Management, SmartBid and iSqFt, send invitations, track responses and collaborate in one workspace.
  • Qualification and takeoff: BuildingConnected adds TradeTapp for subcontractor qualification (custom questionnaires, limit calculations, financial ratios) shared with estimating teams. ConstructConnect adds takeoff products: Takeoff BOOST AI measuring, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift and QuoteSoft.
  • AI: Autodesk names the BuildingConnected Recommendation Engine (suggests bidders by location, trade expertise and past performance), Bid Forwarding (pulls details from outside invitations into Bid Board) and TradeTapp Financial Data Extraction (PDF financial statements to structured data), and notes some of its AI features do not use machine learning. ConstructConnect names Takeoff BOOST (Auto Name and Auto Count) and Ask Docs AI document search in Project Intelligence Professional.
  • Pricing (checked Oct 23, 2026): BuildingConnected publishes no prices; each product is Request a Quote with flexible user, project and account-based pricing, and a Forma for Preconstruction bundle is offered. ConstructConnect publishes Project Intelligence at $129/month per market (Starter), from $199/month per market per seat billed annually (Professional) and from $10,000/yr (Premium), and Takeoff at $1,200/yr (Starter, 1 seat) or $2,200/yr for the first seat plus $1,700 per additional seat (Professional).
