Belidor vs Wyre AI
Two AI-first scope tools that turn a drawing and spec set into cited scopes of work and flag conflicts before bid day. Close to like-for-like (our reading): Belidor builds trade bid packages for general contractors' estimating teams and pushes them to BuildingConnected, while Wyre AI sells two products, Wyre Scopes for scope packages and Wyre Check for drawing-versus-spec validation. Compared using only vendor pages re-read Oct 17, 2026; desk research, not tested, no winner.
In short: Belidor (AI scope generation; no public prices (quote / sales)) vs Wyre AI (AI scope & precon risk; no public prices (quote / sales)). Facts last checked Oct 17, 2026. No winner declared; not tested.

| What it does | Scope generation for estimating teams: upload plans and specs to create trade bid packages, with conflicts flagged as potential RFIs. The vendor says drawing-versus-spec conflicts cite both sources, every scope line is cited to its drawing or spec page, packages push to BuildingConnected or export to Excel, PDF or Word, and inputs can be PDF (including scans) or DOCX. Vendor states SOC 2 Type I and II and says documents are processed under terms that exclude training on customer data. Vendor says ~40+ hours of manual scoping per bid becomes about an hour (vendor claim). | Turns drawings and specs into structured scopes, risk insights and traceable references to find scope gaps and reduce RFIs. It sells Wyre Scopes (traceable scope packages from the full document set) and Wyre Check (AI-assisted validation that flags conflicts and gaps between drawings and specifications). Its site says it now connects with Autodesk Forma and BuildingConnected, and its footer says SOC 2 Type II compliant. Its press page announces a $5M seed round led by IronSpring Ventures (September 2026). |

| Pricing (as publicly stated) | No public prices found (re-checked Oct 17, 2026): the vendor's FAQ says plans are priced per organization, with no limit on the number of projects or the size of the documents, and that the numbers are covered on a demo call; there is no pricing or plans page (/pricing returned a not-found page on Oct 16). The site's calls to action are "Book a demo" and "Get started". Confirm current pricing with the vendor. | No public prices found (re-checked Oct 17, 2026): the vendor site has no pricing or plans link in its navigation or footer, and wyreai.io/pricing returns a not-found page. Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Scope (vendor wording): Belidor calls itself "Scope generation for estimating teams" and "AI scope of work generation for general contractors": upload plans and specs and have bid packages created, with conflicts caught so potential RFIs are ready to send to design teams. Wyre AI's homepage says "Preconstruction Risk Management" and describes turning drawings and specifications into structured scopes, risk insights and traceable references to find scope gaps, reduce RFIs and protect margins. Wyre lists GCs, subcontractors, specialty contractors, CMs, estimators, precon managers and architects and engineers as users; Belidor's site says it is built for general contractors.
- Citations: Belidor says it reads the drawings themselves (plans, elevations, details and schedules) alongside the written specs, and cites the drawing or spec page behind every scope line, including lines you add yourself. Wyre says Wyre Scopes analyzes the whole document set, identifies every scope of work and delivers organized, traceable scope packages, with color-coded outputs your team reviews against the references. Both put source traceability at the center; neither page we read publishes an accuracy figure for scope coverage.
- Conflicts: Belidor flags an item where drawings and specs disagree and cites both sources (its examples are a slab or plank thickness and a glazing type that differ between sheets and spec sections), and keeps them in a conflict log for RFIs. Wyre packages this as a separate product: Wyre Check is described as an AI-assisted document validation platform that identifies conflicts and gaps between drawings and specifications before the project starts.
- Inputs, outputs and connections: Belidor takes PDF plan and spec sets (including scans and marked-up sets) and DOCX, is browser based, and pushes bid packages to BuildingConnected or exports Excel, PDF or Word; it says it works best on design development and construction document sets, with schematic sets returning more flagged than cited lines, and it has no markup tool. Wyre's site banner says it now connects with Autodesk Forma and BuildingConnected, and its homepage says it was built with a deep understanding of Autodesk, Procore, Trimble and Bluebeam integrations; we did not find a list of shipped connectors beyond the Forma and BuildingConnected banner.
- Human review and the AI: Belidor says a set takes under an hour to process plus about an hour of estimator review, two hours or less from upload to export, and that during a pilot a Belidor estimator checks how scopes are organized so it can configure them to your preference. It says it uses a combination of large language models and its own engineering. Wyre describes four steps (upload, AI analysis, your team's review and refinement, then bid) and says the platform was designed with in-house subject matter experts and 500+ hours of collaboration with preconstruction managers (vendor claim). Wyre does not name the models it uses on the pages we read.
- Data and security (vendor statements, not verified): Belidor says it is SOC 2 Type I and Type II, sets are encrypted in transit and at rest on US servers, processed by named providers under terms that exclude training on your data, and deleted when you delete the project or on request; it sends a security report under NDA. Wyre's footer says SOC 2 Type II compliant; the homepage we read does not describe training use or data retention.
- Pricing: neither publishes prices. Belidor's FAQ says plans are priced per organization with no limit on the number of projects or document size, and that the numbers are covered on a demo call. Wyre's site routes to a demo or sales@wyreai.io, and wyreai.io/pricing returned a not-found page on Oct 17, 2026.
- Claims and company facts (vendor statements, not verified): Belidor says manual scoping takes 40+ hours per bid and about an hour with Belidor, and that a single missed scope item on a commercial bid costs $10K to $100K+. Wyre says its team came from Pype (acquired by Autodesk) and Autodesk, and its press page announces a $5M seed round led by IronSpring Ventures (September 2026). Wyre's homepage counters did not render numbers in our fetch, so we quote none; customer quotes on both sites are not used here.

What we can't tell you yet
Which tool is better for your work. That needs testing on the same package with a verified answer key. Planned measures for this comparison:
- How many scope lines each tool gets right, and how many it misses, on a package your team already scoped by hand
- How many flagged drawing-versus-spec conflicts are real on your own set, and how many are noise
- What each costs for your organization; neither publishes prices
