Dodge One vs Building Radar
Two project-intelligence products for finding construction work early, built for different buyers: Dodge One is a researched commercial project database with AI Search Assist, while Building Radar is an AI sales platform (assistant Jeane) for teams that sell into construction projects, sold as three service models. Both are quote-only. Vendor-published facts only; not like-for-like; no winner.

| What it does | Commercial construction project database for finding planning-stage and bid-stage projects, specs, and the owners, architects, and contractors behind them. Dodge says projects are verified by its research team and that it publishes 7,000+ updates a day (vendor figure). AI Search Assist, which Dodge marks as new, takes a plain-language request (Dodge's example: "HVAC projects over $2M bidding soon near Nashville"), applies the matching filters, and shows them as editable pills; Dodge says it is built into Dodge One at no additional cost. Dodge also lists Bid Board by Downtobid, an inbox-based bid-invite manager for subcontractors, as part of the Dodge family. | AI sales platform for construction project sales, built around an assistant called Jeane. The vendor says Jeane tracks projects from lead providers, news feeds, and public sources; scores each project against your offer; summarizes tender documents; enriches records with phase, volume, location, and contacts; finds decision-makers; drafts outreach emails; and turns uploaded PDFs, emails, or images into project records. Vendor figures (not verified): 5M+ projects tracked globally, data from 50+ countries, 200+ construction sales teams, and "94% AI match accuracy". Based in Munich, Germany (site footer). |
| Who it's for | Building product manufacturers, distributors, general contractors, subcontractors, and architects and engineers (Dodge's list). | Sales teams that sell into construction projects (sales leaders, field reps, and inside sales); a quoted customer is a building-materials specification manager. |
| Pricing (as publicly stated) | No public prices found (checked Oct 16, 2026): the vendor site has no pricing or plans link in its navigation or footer, and /pricing and /plans return a not-found page. The site's calls to action include "Request a demo". Earlier note (Oct 15, 2026): dodge's pages route to Request a Demo; AI Search Assist is described as included in Dodge One at no additional cost. Confirm current pricing with the vendor. | Not publicly listed. Three service models, all by quote: Self Starter (done by you, full platform access), Sales Accelerator (adds sales training and reports), and Fully Managed (Building Radar qualifies projects and handles cold outreach). Pricing page re-checked Oct 16, 2026: unchanged, each model routes to "Schedule a Meeting" and a "Get Personalized Quote" button; no figures. |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Job: Dodge describes a commercial construction project database for finding planning-stage and bid-stage projects, specs, and the owners, architects and contractors behind them. Building Radar describes an AI sales platform built around an assistant called Jeane that tracks projects from lead providers, news feeds and public sources, scores each project against your offer, summarizes tender documents, enriches records with phase, volume, location and contacts, finds decision-makers and drafts outreach emails.
- AI role (our desk-research label): Dodge One is AI features added to an established product (AI Search Assist, marked new, turns a plain-language request into editable filter pills); Building Radar is AI-first.
- Who for (vendor framing): Dodge lists building product manufacturers, distributors, general contractors, subcontractors, and architects and engineers. Building Radar names sales teams that sell into construction projects (sales leaders, field reps and inside sales).
- Data claims (vendor figures, not verified by Means & Methods Lab): Dodge says its projects are verified by its research team and that it publishes 7,000+ updates a day. Building Radar says 5M+ projects tracked globally, data from 50+ countries, and "94% AI match accuracy"; how that accuracy is measured is not stated on the pages we read.
- Coverage: Building Radar is based in Munich, Germany (site footer) and describes global coverage; we did not record a country-coverage statement for Dodge One. We did not compare the two products' coverage of any market.
- Pricing (recorded, Oct 16, 2026): neither vendor publishes prices. Dodge's pages route to Request a Demo, with no pricing page found, and Dodge says AI Search Assist is included in Dodge One at no additional cost. Building Radar's pricing page lists three service models by quote: Self Starter (done by you, full platform access), Sales Accelerator (adds sales training and reports) and Fully Managed (Building Radar qualifies projects and handles cold outreach), each routing to Schedule a Meeting.
- Not like-for-like: a database subscription for many trades and roles vs a sales-team platform that can include a managed outreach service. If a product drafts or sends outreach for you, ask who reviews it and whose email address it comes from.
Paraphrased from the sources listed above. Vendor claims are reported as claims.
What we can't tell you yet
Which tool is better for your work. That needs testing on the same package with a verified answer key. Planned measures for this comparison:
- Share of a contractor's or supplier's past pursuit list that each product surfaced, and how early
- How Building Radar's match-accuracy figure is defined and measured
- Outside Means & Methods Lab's current benchmark scope.
