Hubexo vs ConstructConnect
Two North American construction data portfolios selling project leads and bid tools; only ConstructConnect describes AI features. Not fully like-for-like: Hubexo sells separate niche products (planned-project leads by vertical, residential/solar/pool permit data, underground and pipe-rehab bidding, a plan room, public bidding), while ConstructConnect centers on commercial bid leads plus takeoff. Compared using only vendor pages re-read Oct 17, 2026; not tested, no winner.
In short: Hubexo (North America) (Construction leads, bidding & specs; no public prices (quote / sales)) vs ConstructConnect (Project leads, takeoff & bidding; vendor publishes prices). Facts last checked Oct 17, 2026. No winner declared; not tested.

Portfolio of construction insight and software products: BidOcean, ConstructionWire, Construction Monitor (permit data), NBS Canada (specs), NAPC (e-purchasing), Lattira US, Pantera (bid invites/plan room) and Quest (public bidding). Re-read Oct 17, 2026: product list unchanged (Bid Ocean for underground construction and pipe rehabilitation bidding, ConstructionWire, Construction Monitor residential, solar and pool permit data, NBS Canada, NAPC, Lattira US, Pantera, Quest); the homepage does not describe AI features. Product pages re-read Oct 17, 2026 (afternoon): ConstructionWire tracks planned projects from proposal through completion with decision-maker contacts and company relationships, in datasets for energy and mining, hotels, infrastructure, medical, residential and retail, with an API, a CRM tie-in (LeadManager) and saved-search alerts; Construction Monitor tracks residential, solar and pool permits nationwide with alerts; Pantera describes branded bid invites, a white-labeled plan room and unlimited users; QuestCDN describes public owners posting projects, inviting suppliers, comparing submissions and automatic audit trails. None of these pages describes AI features. | Construction project data and preconstruction software to find projects, do takeoff and estimating, and manage bids. Products listed include Intelligent Leads, ConstructConnect Takeoff ("AI Powered Takeoff"), Takeoff BOOST (AI plan measuring), On-Screen Takeoff, and PlanSwift. Re-read Oct 17, 2026: the homepage now promotes Takeoff BOOST (upload a plan and watch it measure in the browser, free to try) and lists Intelligent Leads, ConstructConnect Takeoff, Takeoff as a Service, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, Quick Bid, QuoteSoft, SmartBid, Bid Management and iSqFt for GCs; it cites 100K+ commercial construction professionals (vendor figure). Second re-read Oct 17, 2026: the Project Intelligence page says project information combines human expertise with AI, cites 1.4 million+ active private and public projects updated daily by an in-house research team (the homepage cites 825,000+ active projects and 382 metro areas; vendor figures, not verified), and describes Material Intelligence (Material Quantities), a beta search that uses AI to pull materials, quantities and manufacturers from plans and schedules; an Oct 16 blog post calls it a qualifying step, not a substitute for verifying the plans. |
| Who it's for | Contractors, manufacturers, specifiers and public agencies. | Contractors and building-product manufacturers. |
| Pricing (as publicly stated) | No public prices found (checked Oct 16, 2026): the vendor site has no pricing or plans link in its navigation or footer, and /pricing and /plans return a not-found page. The site's calls to action are "Contact us". Confirm current pricing with the vendor. Re-checked Oct 17, 2026: unchanged. Pantera's product page says only that a subscription costs "less than the price of a cup of coffee per day" (no figure), and the rebrand FAQ says there are no pricing changes associated with the rebrand (re-read Oct 17, 2026). | Project Intelligence (leads): Starter $129/mo per market, per seat (month-to-month); Professional from $199/mo per market, per seat (annual contract; adds plans/specs/addenda, contacts, and Ask Docs LLM document search); Premium from $10,000/yr. Re-checked Oct 17, 2026: Project Intelligence prices unchanged (Starter notes 10% off when billed annually); the pricing page now shows ConstructConnect Takeoff as Starter $100 per seat per month (1 seat max) and Professional $183 per seat per month (adds Auto Takeoff), both on annual contracts with annual payment. |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Scope (our reading): Hubexo's North American site lists separate products: ConstructionWire (planned-project leads by vertical), Construction Monitor (permit data), Bid Ocean (underground construction and pipe rehabilitation bidding), Pantera (bid invites and plan room), QuestCDN (public bidding), NBS Canada (specifications), NAPC (e-purchasing) and Lattira US (specifier and manufacturer platform). ConstructConnect sells Project Intelligence leads, Insight for building-product manufacturers, takeoff (ConstructConnect Takeoff, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, QuoteSoft) and bid management (ConstructConnect Bid Management, SmartBid, iSqFt). The overlap is project leads and bid invitations.
- Lead data: ConstructionWire says it tracks projects from proposal through completion with decision-maker contacts and company relationships, in datasets for energy and mining, hotels, infrastructure, medical, residential and retail. Construction Monitor tracks residential, solar and swimming pool permits nationwide with alerts. ConstructConnect describes public and private commercial bid opportunities with bidder and plan holder lists, plans, specs and addenda, and says an in-house research team contacts architects, plan holders and private owners and updates the data daily.
- AI (vendor statements): ConstructConnect lists Ask Docs (LLM-based document search) on its Project Intelligence Professional plan, says project information combines human expertise with AI, and describes Material Intelligence, a beta search that uses AI to pull materials, quantities and manufacturers from plans and schedules; its blog calls this a qualifying step, not a substitute for checking the plans. It also sells AI-assisted takeoff. The Hubexo product pages we read describe no AI features (ConstructionWire mentions AI only as a source of energy and mining projects), so the directory labels Hubexo Not AI-first and ConstructConnect AI features added to an established product.
- Bid side: Hubexo's Pantera describes branded bid invites, a white-labeled plan room and unlimited users; QuestCDN describes public owners posting projects, inviting suppliers, comparing submissions and keeping automatic audit trails. ConstructConnect describes creating bid packages, sending invitations and tracking responses in ConstructConnect Bid Management, SmartBid and iSqFt, with a network of subcontractors.
- Getting data out: ConstructionWire offers an API to pipe project data into your own platform, a CRM tie-in through LeadManager, and saved searches that alert on new or updated projects. ConstructConnect lists saved searches delivered daily, CSV, PDF and XLS export on its Professional plan, and carrying project details into its own takeoff and bid management products.
- Claims (vendor figures, not verified): ConstructConnect's homepage cites 825,000+ active projects, 382 metro areas and 575,000+ companies with contacts, while its Project Intelligence page says 1.4 million+ active private and public projects; the two pages give different counts. Hubexo's FAQ cites a combined 100 years of construction expertise; Pantera cites 40k+ business opportunities a year and QuestCDN 260k suppliers.
- Pricing: ConstructConnect publishes Project Intelligence prices: Starter $129/mo per market, per seat (10% off billed annually), Professional from $199/mo per market, per seat (annual contract, annual or quarterly terms), Premium from $10,000/yr; takeoff is priced separately. Hubexo publishes no prices: its site has no pricing page, Pantera's page says only that a subscription costs less than a cup of coffee a day, and the rebrand FAQ says prices did not change with the rebrand.

What we can't tell you yet
Which tool is better for your work. That needs testing on the same package with a verified answer key. Planned measures for this comparison:
- Share of last year's bid log, by sector, that each database contained, and how early each first listed it
- Whether ConstructConnect's AI-extracted material quantities match a hand count on a plan set you have already bid
- Outside Means & Methods Lab's benchmark scope (the benchmark covers takeoff, drawing review, and contract & spec review).
