AI takeoff pricing in 2026: which plan actually includes the AI

ROUNDUP · PUBLISHED · UPDATED · SOURCES CHECKED OCT 15, 2026

Most AI takeoff vendors now publish at least part of their pricing, but the headline price and the AI are not always in the same plan. We re-read eight vendors' public pricing pages on Oct 15, 2026 and noted where each one places its AI features. Prices below are as published by the vendors on that date and can change; nothing here is a test result or a recommendation.

DESK RESEARCH, NOT TESTED. Figures come from the sources listed below. Vendor and company statements are claims and are not verified by Means & Methods Lab.

Why plan placement matters

An estimator comparing a $35 plan with a $249 plan is not comparing like with like if only one of them runs automatic detection. Our takeoff demo guide already suggests asking whether AI detection is included in the tier you would buy; the published pricing pages show why that question is worth asking.

This is our framing, not a vendor claim: the useful comparison is the price of the cheapest plan that includes the AI features you would actually use, plus any usage limits on those features.

AI held for a higher tier

Kreo lists Lite at $35 per user per month and Plus at $70 per user per month, billed annually. Its pricing page describes these tiers as “Professional takeoff and estimating — without AI” and for collaborating on drawings without AI-powered tools. Pro, at $175 per user per month, is where Kreo lists its AI tools, including Auto Measure.

ConstructConnect Takeoff lists two plans. Starter is $1,200 per year. Professional is $2,200 per year for the first seat, then $1,700 for each additional seat, and that is the plan ConstructConnect lists with AI Auto Takeoff, which it describes as an AI-powered tool that detects and measures items on your drawings. ConstructConnect's FAQ says all products other than Project Intelligence Starter are sold on annual agreements.

AI in every plan, with limits

Exayard lists Starter at $99 per user per month and Professional at $249 per user per month, with an Enterprise tier where, in Exayard's words, AI work per seat is set to your volume. Our directory's Oct 14 check recorded included AI credits on each plan; see the Exayard tool page for that detail.

Civils.ai lists Starter at $90 per month and Professional at $270 per month, each billed monthly for a single user, with 10 and 30 takeoffs per month respectively. Its pricing page also repeats the vendor claim of 97%+ accuracy on takeoffs (vendor claim, not verified).

Handoff AI, which targets residential contractors, lists Flex at $119, Pro at $239, and Scale at $719 per month, billed annually. Flex includes 50 AI usage credits per month and Pro lists unlimited AI usage credits. The Scale tier is where Handoff lists AI takeoffs on residential plans up to 7,000 sq ft, which the vendor says produce a takeoff-backed estimate in under 2 hours (vendor claim).

Platform pricing

STACK lists Takeoff & Estimate at $299 per user per month, Build & Operate at $49, and the full platform at $348. STACK offers a free version of Takeoff & Estimate and a two-week free trial of Build & Operate. Our directory records that STACK now describes its AI features (sheet reading, auto-naming, auto-counting) as part of the platform; the pricing page does not separate an AI add-on.

Togal.AI's homepage describes AI that detects, measures, and compares directly from drawings, with up to 98% accuracy on floor plans (vendor claim, not verified). Its pricing page lists a Business plan with custom pricing; the per-user Growth price is rendered in a way our text fetch could not read on Oct 15, so we point to the Togal tool page, where our Oct 14 check recorded it.

Annual licenses instead of monthly seats

Beam AI (ibeam.ai) publishes annual licenses rather than monthly per-user seats. Do It Yourself for construction plans starts at an $8K annual license per trade (listed for HVAC, plumbing, and steel). Done For You for construction plans starts at a $25K annual license based on trade and volume (all trades). Done For You for aerial images starts at a $10K annual license per trade based on site acreage and service. Enterprise is custom. Those figures are from Beam AI's pricing page as re-checked Oct 15, 2026; earlier in our directory Beam AI had no public prices.

What the pricing pages do not tell you

None of these pages tells you how long a human needs to correct the AI's output, which is one of the measures in our planned test protocol. Accuracy figures that appear on pricing or home pages (Togal's 98% on floor plans, Civils.ai's 97%+) are vendor claims with no published test method on those pages.
