Struction vs Wyre AI
Two AI-first preconstruction tools that read a contractor's drawings and specs and turn them into scopes, with every item traced back to the documents. Struction is a self-serve workspace with published per-user plans that adds project chat, takeoff, RFIs, risks and a federated model view; Wyre AI sells two products, Wyre Scopes and Wyre Check, through demos. Vendor pages read Oct 23, 2026; desk research, not tested, no winner.
In short: Struction (AI document Q&A & takeoff; vendor publishes prices) vs Wyre AI (AI scope & precon risk; no public prices (quote / sales)). Facts last checked Oct 23, 2026. No winner declared; not tested.

| What it does | AI that answers questions, traces, counts and scopes across drawings, specs, addenda and model elements, citing the contract documents. Free tier listed. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: the site says one project can be uploaded free when signing up with a work email and that it will not train on project data; Enterprise GC lists chat model choice across Google, Anthropic and OpenAI, and a Specialty Contractors plan is listed for Late Summer 2026 with early access on request. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: the site still offers one free project upload with a work email and says it will not train on project data. The pricing page has been restructured into Base, Plus and Pro memberships that can be mixed on one team (see Pricing); Plus adds traceable chat, RFI creation, risk register generation and artifacts, and Pro adds scope of work generation, addenda comparisons and change analysis, 3D model search, scope gap discovery, a BuildingConnected integration and On-Screen Takeoff preset import. The Specialty Contractors plan and chat model choice noted Oct 19 no longer appear on the pricing page. Re-checked Oct 23, 2026 (rendered in a headless browser): the homepage was rewritten around five actions (ask, trace, count, scope, see): project chat with every answer cited to its sheet, markup tools plus linked callouts, details and spec references, manual, assisted and automated takeoff with each count tied to a scope item, scopes of work written as exportable bid forms per discipline, and risks, clashes and scope gaps with severity and source alongside a federated model view for every estimator. It still offers one free project upload with a work email and says it will not train on project data, and adds a Dispatch email newsletter. The docs say Struction writes a first-draft scope of work for each trade, taking about an hour for a typical project (vendor statement). The FAQ still says it is for general contractors today with subcontractor plans arriving Summer 2026, a date that has passed; confirm with the vendor. | Turns drawings and specs into structured scopes, risk insights and traceable references to find scope gaps and reduce RFIs. It sells Wyre Scopes (traceable scope packages from the full document set) and Wyre Check (AI-assisted validation that flags conflicts and gaps between drawings and specifications). Its site says it now connects with Autodesk Forma and BuildingConnected, and its footer says SOC 2 Type II compliant. Its press page announces a $5M seed round led by IronSpring Ventures (September 2026). Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: homepage unchanged in substance (Wyre Scopes, Wyre Check, the Autodesk Forma and BuildingConnected connection and the SOC 2 Type II footer seal); it says the team are former Pype and Autodesk staff and that the product is built with a deep understanding of Autodesk, Procore, Trimble and Bluebeam integrations (vendor statement). A customer pilot's hours-saved estimate is vendor-published and not used here. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: homepage unchanged in substance (Wyre Scopes, Wyre Check, the Autodesk Forma and BuildingConnected banner and the SOC 2 Type II footer line). Customer quotes are not used here. Re-checked Oct 23, 2026: homepage unchanged in substance (Wyre Scopes and Wyre Check, upload, analysis, review and bid steps with color-coded outputs and traceable references, the Autodesk Forma and BuildingConnected banner and the SOC 2 Type II footer line). It lists general contractors, subcontractors, specialty contractors, construction managers, estimators, preconstruction managers and architects and engineers as users, and the footer lists Customer Stories, Press Releases and a Podcast. The banner's Explore integrations link returned a not-found page in this read. Homepage counters, customer quotes and pilot hour estimates are vendor content and not used. |

| Pricing (as publicly stated) | Earlier listing (pricing page, checked Oct 16, 2026; unchanged on Oct 19, 2026): Free $0 (no credit card); Struction $50/month billed monthly (cancel anytime); Struction for GC's $500 per user/month, up to 10 users (adds unlimited projects, scope of work generation, team sharing, RFI/risk/scope gap discovery); Enterprise GC custom, usage-based with unlimited users. Confirm current terms with the vendor. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: changed. Base $0 (uploads, 2D project map and search, manual and automated takeoff, comments; no AI chat), Plus $50 per user per month and Pro $500 per user per month, each billed monthly; teams of more than 10 users sign up for Enterprise through sales, which changes how the organization pays without upgrading everyone to Pro. Re-checked Oct 23, 2026: unchanged (Base $0 with no AI chat; Plus $50 and Pro $500 per user per month, billed monthly; memberships can be mixed on one team; teams of more than 10 users go to Enterprise through sales, which does not upgrade everyone to Pro). | No public prices found (re-checked Oct 17 and Oct 19, 2026): the vendor site has no pricing or plans link in its navigation or footer, and wyreai.io/pricing returns a not-found page. The site's calls to action are "Book a demo", "Contact us", "Request a demo". Confirm current pricing with the vendor. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: unchanged (no prices; wyreai.io/pricing still not found). Re-checked Oct 23, 2026: unchanged (no prices; wyreai.io/pricing still not found; Book a Demo). |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Scope of work: Struction says it reads the uploaded drawings, specs, bid documents and schedules and writes a first-draft scope of work for each trade (its docs say about an hour for a typical project), exportable as bid forms, with every inclusion showing where it was found. Wyre Scopes analyzes the full document set and delivers organized scope packages linking each item to the drawing or spec excerpt behind it, for the team to review and refine.
- Conflicts and gaps: Wyre Check is described as AI-assisted validation that flags conflicts and gaps between drawings and specifications. Struction surfaces risks, clashes and scope gaps with severity and source, and its Plus and Pro plans add RFI creation, a risk register and, on Pro, addenda comparisons and change analysis.
- Beyond scopes: Struction also lists traceable project chat, markup tools, manual, assisted and automated quantity takeoff, and 3D model search on Pro. The Wyre AI pages we read focus on scopes and document checks and do not describe takeoff or chat.
- Connections: Struction's Pro plan lists a BuildingConnected integration and On-Screen Takeoff preset import. Wyre AI's banner says it now connects with Autodesk Forma and BuildingConnected (the banner's integrations link returned a not-found page in our read).
- Data: Struction says it will not train on project data. Wyre AI's footer says SOC 2 Type II compliant; we did not find a model-training statement in the pages we read.
- Pricing (checked Oct 23, 2026): Struction Base $0 (no AI chat), Plus $50 and Pro $500 per user per month billed monthly, memberships mixed on one team, Enterprise through sales above 10 users; one free project upload with a work email. Wyre AI publishes no prices (wyreai.io/pricing returns not found); Book a Demo.
- Who each names: Struction's FAQ says general contractors today, with subcontractor plans listed for Summer 2026. Wyre AI lists general contractors, subcontractors, specialty contractors, construction managers, estimators, preconstruction managers and architects and engineers. Homepage counters, customer quotes and pilot hour estimates are vendor content and not used. We have not tested either tool.
