Trayd vs LCPtracker
Two sides of certified payroll, and not like-for-like (our reading). Trayd runs construction payroll itself for trade contractors and generates certified payroll from field-captured hours, wage rates and classifications, alongside HR, scheduling, job costing and accounting. LCPtracker does not run payroll: LCPtracker Pro collects and validates certified payroll from every tier on a public project, and LCPcertified lets a single contractor build and check its own reports from imported payroll data. Desk research from vendor pages read Oct 23, 2026; not tested, no winner.
In short: Trayd (Construction payroll & compliance; no public prices (quote / sales)) vs LCPtracker (Certified payroll & labor compliance; vendor publishes prices). Facts last checked Trayd Oct 23, 2026; LCPtracker Oct 22, 2026. No winner declared; not tested.

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Scope (our reading): Trayd's homepage calls it construction payroll and compliance for contractors, with menus for HR and people management (onboarding, benefits, approvals, forms), scheduling and dispatch, worker and foreman apps with daily shift reports, payroll, and accounting (general ledger, financial statements, AP and AR, cash management), plus solutions for automated certified payroll, union management, job costing, WIP schedules, retainage and lien waivers and AIA billing. LCPtracker's product menu lists LCPtracker Pro, LCP+, LCPcertified, Daily Reporter, OnSite, LCP Case View, VantagePoint, Active Insights, Workforce Manager and LCPtracker Academy, sold to public agencies, prime contractors, subcontractors, energy projects and workforce development groups.
- Certified payroll (vendor statements): Trayd says labor hours, wage rates and worker classifications are captured in the field and funneled into certified payroll reports, with union and prevailing-wage support and compliance reporting at no extra cost. LCPcertified lists over 50 validation checks including state-specific wage determinations (it maintains California determinations and lets users upload other states' manually), batch processing, an archive of submitted reports, PDF distribution by email, support for the updated WH-347 with expanded fringe, apprentice and classification fields, and XML exports for the California DIR, Washington L&I and Maryland portals. Its FAQ says LCPcertified is for subcontractors and other contractors not managing subcontractors on a project, while LCPtracker Pro manages prevailing-wage compliance across every tier.
- How they could fit together (our reading): a trade contractor running payroll on Trayd could still be asked by a prime or agency to submit reports into LCPtracker Pro. LCPcertified says payroll data can be uploaded from providers such as HH2 or imported directly from Paychex; the pages we read did not say whether Trayd exports into LCPtracker.
- Where the AI sits: neither vendor's pages we read describe AI in the payroll or compliance products. The only AI mention is LCPcertified's AI-powered knowledge center for support questions. Our directory tags both Not AI-first.
- Pricing (checked Oct 23, 2026): LCPcertified publishes prices. Plus is $12 per report, or by active projects: up to 5 for $145/month, up to 10 for $1,300/year, up to 25 for $2,500/year, up to 50 for $3,700/year and unlimited for $7,400/year. Professional adds bulk processing, auto distribution and summary reports, from $1,900/year for up to 10 active projects to $18,200/year for up to 450, with unlimited projects priced by phone. LCPtracker Pro has no public price (lcptracker.com/pricing redirects to Contact Sales). Trayd publishes no prices: buildtrayd.com/pricing returns not found, though the homepage promises transparent pricing with no hidden fees. Trayd's ADP and Sage comparison, customer quotes and time-saving claims are vendor content and not used here.
