Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Who each is for: C/F Data Systems has industry pages for drywall, electrical, flooring, general, HVAC, heavy highway, low voltage, masonry, mechanical, painting, plumbing, roofing, sheet metal, specialty and steel contractors, with support based in Weymouth, MA. Xpedeon has solution pages for general contractors, specialist contractors, engineer-to-order and offsite manufacturing, and developers and housebuilders, and says teams in India, the UK, the USA, the UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia use it.
- Accounting core: C/F Data Systems' accounting page lists job cost and billing (costs summarized and compared to budget), accounts receivable, accounts payable that posts purchases to job cost and the general ledger, a general ledger with multi-period, department, division and multi-company accounts, payroll and an Executive Center for company financials. Xpedeon's accounting page lists AP and AR tied to procurement and contract management, e-invoicing that matches invoices to purchase orders and goods received notes, multi-currency and multi-ledger accounting by entity, region or business unit, fixed assets with statutory and management depreciation books, live cash flow by project and business unit, reports by project, phase, client or cost code, automated work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, and audit trails with role-based access.
- Tax and payroll: C/F Data Systems says its payroll handles multiple pay types, job classifications and pay scales and different tax rates by location, and that STRUCTUREcloud includes federal, state and selected local payroll tax tables and form updates such as W-2s and 1099s; its integrations page describes a payroll file sent through a third-party processor to ADP. Xpedeon lists built-in VAT, CIS, GST and reverse-charge handling applied by region and transaction, and an HR and payroll module in its menu; the pages we read do not mention US payroll tax forms.
- Beyond accounting: C/F Data Systems also lists document management, procurement (purchase orders and inventory), project management, work orders for service dispatch, workforce scheduling and STRUCTURE Mobile apps (TimeLinc, TechLinc and ChangeLinc licenses). Xpedeon's menu lists job costing, contract management, subcontractor management, cost value reconciliation (CVR), procurement, inventory, a supply chain portal, plant and equipment, warehouse management, a site mobile app, CRM, rentals and customer service.
- Deployment: C/F Data Systems describes STRUCTUREcloud as its STRUCTURE software run on a Windows Virtual Desktop license with hosting, virus protection, backup and network security, sold as a subscription; its FAQ says a full backup runs nightly between 8 pm and 6 am Eastern and is kept at least a month, upgrades are not installed automatically, Microsoft Office 365 licenses are not included, and customers own their data and can request an export on cancellation. Xpedeon describes one integrated cloud platform and says its cloud is ISO 27001, 27017, 27018 and 27701 and SOC 2 certified (vendor statement).
- Integrations as described: C/F Data Systems names MeasureSquare, Callidus, SafeHarbor and SpecIntel (estimates into its quote and proposal entry), SiteFotos, Kojo (purchase-order import), AvidXchange (payables import), ADP, TradeService (material data) and ServiceTitan (receivables import), mostly as spreadsheet or file imports. Xpedeon's pages stress one platform instead of bolt-ons and do not list integration partners.
- AI tags: both stay Not AI-first: the pages we read for either vendor do not describe AI features.
- Claims (vendor statements, not verified): C/F Data Systems says it has served the construction industry for more than 45 years. Xpedeon cites 6 countries, 30K+ users, 100+ enterprises and 6 accreditations.
- Pricing (checked Oct 20, 2026): neither publishes prices. C/F Data Systems says STRUCTUREcloud is a subscription with user and mobile licenses and modules selected at the time of sale, and its call to action is a free demo. Xpedeon's /pricing/ URL returns its 404 page, and its calls to action are a demo and a discovery call.
- Not used here: Xpedeon's payment-cycle, error-reduction, paper and processing-time percentages, and both vendors' customer quotes. Neither tool has been tested by Means & Methods Lab.
