| What it does | Project information management for AECO firms that connects project data across existing tools into one project record. It sells Newforma Konekt (cloud) and Newforma Project Center (server-based, on premises). Re-read Oct 18, 2026: Konekt files email from an Outlook add-in into the project record (including as an issue, RFI or submittal), manages RFIs, submittals and contract changes, views 2D and 3D models with issues and punch lists, and indexes content for Deep Search; its packages page lists connectors for Autodesk Forma Data Management, SharePoint, Egnyte, Nasuni, Panzura, Power BI, IMAGINiT Clarity, Procore RFIs and submittals and many BIM tools, plus ISO 27001, SOC 2 and US, Canada or Europe hosting. A May 2026 Newforma blog post says AI Smart Email Filing is deployed today, Smart Search and the Vojo assistant are in development, and MCP servers and bring-your-own-LLM support are being built; the packages page lists AI Assist as coming soon. We changed the label from Not AI-first to AI features added on Oct 18, 2026. Re-read Oct 19, 2026: the Konekt packages page still lists AI Assist as coming soon and now also lists Field Reports as coming soon. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: the Konekt packages page (Info Track, BIM Track and CA Track) still lists AI Assist and Field Reports as coming soon and also lists a Deltek Vantagepoint connector marked coming soon; the site navigation also lists Newforma ConstructEx, described as cloud-hosted construction management for submittals, RFIs and document management aimed at general contractors. | Construction administration platform for architects covering submittals, RFIs, drawings, field reports, change documents, and pay apps in one record. AI features listed: AI Submittal Assistant (spec comparisons, summaries, Q&A, missing-item spotting), AI spec organization, and AI drawing detection. Imports submittals from Procore; works alongside Procore, Deltek, and Bluebeam. Vendor cites 20% faster submittal processing and 30% faster RFI response (vendor claims, not verified). Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: the homepage still lists the AI Submittal Assistant with spec comparisons, summaries and Q&A, Procore submittal import and side-by-side spec views, and now names Procore and Bluebeam (not Deltek) as systems it works alongside. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: unchanged in substance; the homepage still names Procore and Bluebeam as systems it works alongside, lists Procore submittal import and the AI Submittal Assistant, and says mobile field reports work offline. |
| Who it's for | AECO firms. | Architects and other prime consultants running construction administration (pricing FAQ says the architect is usually the buyer). Relevant to GC estimators mainly as the other side of RFIs and submittals. |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Who each names: Part3 is built for architects and engineers running construction administration; its pricing FAQ says the buyer is usually the prime consultant, most often the architect, and collaborators get unlimited free seats. Newforma names architects, engineers, general contractors and owners, and sells three products: Konekt (cloud), Project Center (server-based, on premises) and ConstructEx (cloud RFI, submittal and document management aimed at general contractors).
- Core CA tools: both handle RFIs, submittals, contract changes and a project record. Part3 lists submittals, RFIs, drawings, field reports, instructions, change documents and pay apps in one record it calls tamper-proof, plus mobile field reports, dynamic submittal stamps and secure sign and stamp. Newforma Konekt files email from an Outlook add-in into the project record (including as an issue, RFI or submittal), and adds a 2D/3D model viewer with issues and punch lists, Deep Search content indexing and a Microsoft Teams archive.
- Integrations: Part3 imports submittals from Procore and says it works alongside Procore and Bluebeam. Newforma's Konekt packages page lists connectors for Outlook, Teams, Autodesk Forma Data Management, SharePoint, Egnyte, Nasuni, Panzura, Power BI, Procore RFIs and submittals and many BIM tools, plus open API access, with a Deltek Vantagepoint connector marked coming soon.
- AI: Part3 lists an AI Submittal Assistant (spec comparisons, summaries and Q&A), AI spec organization and AI drawing detection on both of its plans (tagged AI features added). Newforma's Konekt packages page lists AI Assist as coming soon, and a May 2026 Newforma post says AI Smart Email Filing is deployed while Smart Search and a Vojo assistant are in development (tagged AI features added).
- Pricing (checked Oct 20, 2026): Part3 Core is $150 and Complete $200 per user per month, billed annually in USD, with annual subscriptions from $9,000 a year and discounts for 50+ users or multi-year terms by contact. Newforma publishes no prices: its Konekt (Info Track, BIM Track, CA Track) and Project Center (Standard, Contract Management, Enterprise) packages pages compare features only, with Book Your Demo calls to action.
- Hosting: Newforma lists ISO 27001, SOC 2, SSO with Microsoft and US, Canada or Europe hosting for Konekt, and Project Center runs on your own servers. Not used here: Part3's 20% faster submittal processing, 30% faster RFI response and 100+ firms figures (vendor claims). Neither tool has been tested by Means & Methods Lab.
