Sitewire vs BlueTape

Two construction-finance tools on different sides of the money. Sitewire sells to construction lenders: virtual draw inspections, draw management software and risk reports before a draw is released. BlueTape sells to building-material suppliers and the contractors and subcontractors who buy from them: trade credit, factoring, an Early Payment Program, project-based lines of credit and a payment portal. Not like-for-like (our reading): a lender's control tool versus a financing product for the supply chain. Desk research from vendor sites read Oct 31, 2026; no winner.

What it doesDraw management for construction lenders, with same-day virtual draw inspections, budget and document tracking, and project risk reports. It describes itself as a construction oversight platform for private lenders financing ground-up and rehab projects in the US, from single-family and multifamily to luxury residential. Virtual inspections are same-day draw reviews by licensed general contractors using verified borrower media and local cost and permit data; draw management software tracks budgets (with change orders and holdbacks), inspections and documents; risk reports cover budget feasibility, permit requirements and project health, with operational and portfolio analytics. Borrowers request draws and capture photos and video from the jobsite in its app, with time and multi-layer location checks (GPS against the county parcel boundary, sensor data, timestamps) and fraud-prevention technology meant to flag manipulated or AI-generated media; Site Check sends photo or video prompts, and Sitewire offers fraud loss protection insurance. The What We Do page describes Budget Feasibility as instant AI-driven completion risk analysis of every budget line and lists a white-labeled borrower experience and APIs to loan origination, CRM and asset tools; it says most lenders can go live in as little as one day, adding existing loans one at a time or in bulk through the API. The homepage itself does not describe the AI, so we tag it AI features added. Site, draw, volume, jurisdiction and speed figures are vendor claims and are not used.Accounts receivable and construction financing platform that helps construction businesses access cash tied up in receivables, with trade credit, factoring, early payment and lines of credit for material purchases. Suppliers offer contractors net 30, 60 or 90 terms and are paid upfront, with trade credit, factoring, an Early Payment Program, a payment portal, a credit management tool, invoice automation and e-commerce integration. Its subcontractor page lists project-based lines of credit for building materials ("Build Now, Pay Later") for US-based government, infrastructure, commercial and residential subcontractors, invoice factoring with next-day payments, and a payment portal for ACH and card payments; the marketplace lists supplier promotions such as 0% and no payment for 30 days. The Early Payment Program page pitches contractors and developers paying vendors, subcontractors and suppliers promptly, without describing how the program is funded or priced. The pages we read do not describe AI. DSO, customer-count and sales-lift figures and reviews are vendor content and are not used.

Where the vendor descriptions differ

  • What each does: Sitewire's What We Do page lists virtual inspections (licensed GC review of verified borrower media), draw management software tracking budgets, inspections and documents, and risk reports including AI-driven Budget Feasibility and Permit Assessments across 20,000+ jurisdictions; it also offers a white-labeled borrower portal. BlueTape lists trade credit, factoring, an Early Payment Program, a payment portal, a credit management tool and e-commerce integration for suppliers, and for subcontractors project-based lines of credit for materials ("Build Now, Pay Later"), invoice factoring with next-day payments and ACH and card payments.
  • Who each is for: Sitewire names private lending leaders and their borrowers. BlueTape names LBM suppliers, manufacturers, dealers, contractors, government contractors, subcontractors and modular home builders.
  • AI (our reading): Sitewire says GPS checked against the county parcel boundary, sensor data, timestamps, AI that identifies issues in photos and videos, and GC review work together against fraud, and calls Budget Feasibility AI-driven; we tag it AI features added. BlueTape's pages describe no AI, so we tag it Not AI-first. The AI comparison is one-sided.
  • Where they meet: a builder on a lender-funded job may draw through a lender's Sitewire process while buying materials on BlueTape terms, so the two can show up on the same project. Neither page describes an integration with the other.
  • Pricing (checked Oct 31, 2026): neither publishes prices. Sitewire's /pricing returns not found and its What We Do page says Launch Fast & Pay as you Go, with no long-term contracts and no software, setup or training fees; BlueTape's /pricing returns not found and its Early Payment Program page says pricing is transparent with no hidden fees, without figures.
  • Not used here: Sitewire's turnaround, sites-monitored and loan-volume figures and BlueTape's DSO and customer-count figures (vendor claims). Facts for both tools come from vendor websites (desk research).
