EzzyBills vs Kojo

Two ways to put AI invoice capture and PO matching into a contractor's accounts payable. EzzyBills is a cross-industry AI document and AP automation tool (trades, construction, manufacturing and retail) that extracts bill data, codes it and syncs it to accounting systems and Procore, with published annual plans priced by document volume. Kojo is materials management for trade contractors (field requisitions, purchasing, warehouse, tool tracking, prefab), and its Kojo AP module scans invoices with AI and matches them to POs and delivery slips. Not like-for-like: one is an AP tool that plugs into your systems, the other is a materials platform with AP inside it. Vendor pages read Nov 1, 2026; desk research from vendor sites, no winner.

The pricing page's standard features list PDF, image, in-body email and email-hyperlink files; upload by drag and drop, email, the mobile app, a synced inbox or connected cloud drives; automatic GL coding from document history and supplier settings, including jobs, projects and item codes; and approval workflows with up to 5 stages. Kojo AP uses AI-powered invoice scanning and 3-way matching of invoices to POs and delivery slips to flag discrepancies, with accounting/ERP and supplier integrations. Tool Tracking (usekojo.com/solutions/tool-tracking and a launch blog post) describes a central tool inventory showing each tool's assignee, location and condition; tool detail pages with pictures and statuses; lifecycle statuses including service, damaged, lost and stolen; filters by job, assignee, location, status, serial and model number; bulk moves and check-in/check-out with a status-change history; and field, warehouse and tool crib teams checking tools in and out and requesting tools on their phones. Where the vendor descriptions differ

  • What each covers (vendor pages): EzzyBills processes supplier invoices, sales invoices, receipts, purchase orders, expense claims and supplier statements, codes GL accounts from document history and supplier settings (including jobs, projects and item codes) and runs approval workflows with up to 5 stages. Kojo describes one platform to plan, purchase, track, receive and pay for materials, with a mobile field app, BOM and material lists, field requisitions, automated RFQs, digital POs, warehouse inventory, tool tracking and prefab kitting, plus a Finance group for invoices.
  • Invoice matching: EzzyBills lists purchase order matching from its E10 plan and says on its Procore page that bills are matched to an existing Procore PO or posted as a direct cost, with line items and the invoice file attached. Kojo lists automated invoice scanning and 3-way automated invoice matching, and says Kojo AP flags discrepancies against POs and delivery slips so you only pay for what was delivered.
  • Where the PO comes from: with EzzyBills the PO lives in your accounting or project system (Procore, Simpro, Cin7, ServiceTitan; Purchase Order Creation is marked Beta). With Kojo the PO is written in Kojo itself, from field requisitions and RFQs, so the match runs against its own purchasing and receiving records.
  • Integrations: EzzyBills lists Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks on every plan and Simpro, Cin7, ServiceTitan and Procore from E10, plus Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox. Kojo lists Acumatica, Autodesk, CMiC, Access Coins Evo, Deltek ComputerEase, eCMS, Foundation, Procore, QuickBooks Desktop and Online, Sage 100, Sage 300 CRE, Sage Intacct, Spectrum and Vista, and supplier integrations including Wesco, Mayer, Rexel, Hajoca, Graybar and Border States.
  • AI (vendor statements): EzzyBills describes AI data extraction, task-specific AI agents and AI-built workflows, tasks and apps (DIY on E10 and E20, included from E30). Kojo describes AI-powered invoice scanning in Kojo AP.
  • Pricing (checked Nov 1, 2026): EzzyBills publishes annual plans by document volume, in US dollars on the page read today: Light US$96, Standard US$216, Premium US$440 and E10 US$880 a year (up to 450 to 5,400 documents), and Enterprise E20 US$1,760 up to E200 US$16,000 a year; no monthly plans; 14-day free trial with no card. Kojo publishes no prices: a custom quote by product group (Warehouse, Prefab, Procurement, Finance) with unlimited users and data.
  • Not used here: Kojo's savings percentages and customer quotes, and EzzyBills' customer-count statements. Facts for both tools come from vendor websites (desk research).

Questions to ask in your review

  • Whether you want AP automation on top of your current purchasing system (EzzyBills) or a materials platform that owns the PO, receipt and invoice match (Kojo)
  • How each handles your invoice mix, such as progress claims, rental and service invoices, against the same documents
  • What you actually pay, and on what basis (neither publishes full prices)
  • What did you use it for, on what kind of work and project size?
  • How long did setup and training take, and who on your team did it?
  • What does it cost you in practice, compared with what the sales call said?
