Nyfty.ai vs SafetyClerk

Two ways to get daily safety paperwork done by the field without clipboards. Nyfty.ai texts foremen a link to AI agents that co-author Pre-Task Plans and handle orientations, attendance, permits and inspections; SafetyClerk has workers review and sign safety documents on their own phones and ties that to certification tracking and turnstile access. Desk research from vendor pages read Oct 24, 2026; not tested, no winner.

What it doesSMS-based AI safety agents for PTPs, toolbox talks, orientations, permits, attendance and inspections, with no app or login for workers. The homepage announces a Configuration Assistant from Oct 20 that proposes an agent setup for approval. Its FAQ says the Pre-Task Plan agent works in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and work logs in English and Spanish with translation back to English. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: the Configuration Assistant is now live; the FAQ calls it the home screen of every project (describe what you need and it proposes the setup for you to approve, no setup call needed). Pricing (as publicly stated)Pricing page (checked Oct 16, 2026; prices read Oct 17, 2026) describes billing by the number of foremen and workers who interact with Nyfty by SMS each day (admins and passive managers not counted), with every plan starting with 300 free SMS messages per month. Paid tiers load in an embedded billing panel, shown billed annually: Just Manpower and Just Orientations plans at US$92 (Small), US$138 (Medium) and US$276 (Large) per month (US$1,104, US$1,656 and US$3,312 a year), and all-workflow plans that include AI agents at US$155, US$363 and US$635 per month (US$1,860, US$4,361 and US$7,620 a year); an optional Broadcast Bot is $1 a month per person on the subscription. Custom plans are scoped on a call above the Large tier (100+ people per day), and the page says Nyfty has no sales team. Where the vendor descriptions differ

  • What each does (vendor pages): Nyfty's homepage describes AI safety agents for Pre-Task Plans and JHAs, Toolbox Talks, orientations, permits, attendance and crew check-in, manpower and work logs, forms and inspections, certifications, hazard and near-miss reporting and T&M capture. Each morning a foreman gets an SMS link that opens a browser chat, with no app or login, where the AI co-authors the day's Pre-Task Plan and checks it against your safety policy. SafetyClerk's pages describe workers reviewing and signing documents such as pre-shift reviews on their personal devices, plus certification tracking with alerts for expiring documents, incident reporting and an archive of every signed document.
  • Site access: Nyfty lists optional Smart Access Controller hardware for gate access and headcount. SafetyClerk's turnstile page describes access based on SST cards (no badge printing), access rules by jobsite hours, expired cards, certifications and orientations, a pre-shift sent at check-in and an incident waiver at check-out, and an SST Daily Log (LL196), New York City's site safety training law. Its safety compliance page says it works for NYC projects and beyond.
  • Procore: Nyfty says completed plans, forms, logs and records are written back to Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud. SafetyClerk's Procore page says it files finished safety documents in Procore Documents, fills each subcontractor's Daily Log manpower every night (or when a log is submitted) and puts daily-log photos in that day's Daily Log. We have tested neither integration.
  • Languages and AI: Nyfty's FAQ says its Pre-Task Plan agent works in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and work logs in English and Spanish with translation back to English. The SafetyClerk pages we read do not list languages. Nyfty is AI-first. SafetyClerk's homepage does not describe AI features, so we label it not AI-first.
  • Pricing (checked Oct 24, 2026): Nyfty publishes prices in an embedded billing panel, billed by the foremen and workers who interact by SMS each day: Just Manpower or Just Orientations plans at US$92, US$138 and US$276 a month billed annually, and Typical Setup plans with the full set of agents at US$155, US$363 and US$635 a month billed annually; every plan starts with 300 free SMS messages a month, and custom plans are scoped above the Large tier. SafetyClerk shows no figures; its pricing page offers a configurator and Get Your Custom Quote.
  • Not used here: Nyfty's homepage counters and the customer names on its pricing page, and SafetyClerk's homepage counters, customer quotes and paperwork-reduction percentage. Neither tool has been tested by Means & Methods Lab.

Questions to ask in your review

  • Whether your foremen would rather work through an AI chat over text (Nyfty) or review and sign documents on their own phones (SafetyClerk)
  • Whether you need NYC SST card checks and LL196 logs at the gate, which SafetyClerk's turnstile page names
  • What SafetyClerk costs for your sites, since it publishes no figures
  • What did you use it for, on what kind of work and project size?
  • How long did setup and training take, and who on your team did it?
  • What does it cost you in practice, compared with what the sales call said?
