Station 1 vs Crewscope
Two no-app field reporting tools that work by text or call: Station 1 files daily logs, Crewscope runs SMS crew workflows. Not like-for-like: Station 1 is built around the superintendent's daily log and role-specific briefs, with a published per-project price, while Crewscope pushes the schedule to every worker and structures crew texts into daily logs, safety, deficiency, equipment, certification and maintenance records. Compared using only vendor pages re-read Oct 17, 2026; desk research, not tested, no winner.
In short: Station 1 (Daily logs by phone; vendor publishes prices) vs Crewscope (SMS-first AI field & crew intelligence; no public prices (quote / sales)). Facts last checked Oct 17, 2026. No winner declared; not tested.

| Sheet row | Station 1 | Crewscope |
|---|---|---|
| Category | Daily logs by phone | SMS-first AI field & crew intelligence |
| AI role (our label) | Not AI-first | AI-first |
| What it does | Daily logs by phone call or text that the vendor says are mapped into Procore or Autodesk daily logs, plus role-specific briefs for PMs. Superintendents call or text Station 1 during the day or on the way home, and the vendor says each conversation is mapped into Procore or Autodesk daily logs automatically (manpower, delays, inspections, safety, deliveries, weather, visitors, equipment). PMs and leadership get role-specific briefs by text, email or podcast. Listed on the Procore and Autodesk marketplaces; a demo phone line needs no signup. The homepage does not describe the product as AI, so we do not label it as AI. Homepage lists Groundbreak booth 2401. Re-read Oct 17, 2026 (homepage, pricing and FAQ): the FAQ says supers can answer by text, by voice or through an on-site kiosk, that completed reports auto-populate Procore daily logs, and that for Autodesk each day's log is filed to the project as a PDF in a Station 1 folder, with structured Daily Log entries "coming soon"; sign-up uses a Procore or Autodesk login. | SMS-first AI field-intelligence platform for construction, industrial and mining crews that turns worker texts into reports, logs and lookaheads. It pushes weekly schedules to workers by text (no app/login), lets crews text hazards, progress, labor and constraints, and structures that into safety reports, lookaheads, daily logs, deficiency close-out with photo proof, equipment check-in/out, maintenance, and worker certification tracking with expiry reminders. Vendor cites case metrics (e.g. EllisDon, Deltera/Hazelview, Amrize) and SOC 2 Type II attestation (vendor claims). Features page says AI prepares a schedule lookahead and crews text progress to AI. Live-in-a-week with standard integrations claimed on homepage. Re-read Oct 16, 2026: homepage still says workers text what they see and "Crewscope AI structures it, routes it, and closes it", lists schedule and daily logs, and repeats SMS-first / no app / SOC 2 Type II (vendor claims). Re-read Oct 17, 2026: the integrations page describes two-way, real-time sync of supported records (deficiencies, observations, inspections, photos and daily logs), names Procore integrations, and says its team goes on site to configure workflows; the features page says equipment check-in and check-out by QR code is matched against office POs. |
| Who it's for | Superintendents and field teams. | GCs, industrial operators, owners/developers, HSE and site supervisors who want crew participation without a new field app. |
| Pricing (as publicly stated) | Vendor pricing page (checked Oct 16, 2026): $99 per project reported on each month, with a 5-project monthly minimum ($495). Re-checked Oct 17, 2026: billed only for projects someone reported on that month (setting a project up does not bill it), no setup fee, no annual contract, and 30 days free with no card on file. Vendor-listed figures; confirm current terms with the vendor. | Not publicly listed (homepage routes to contact / workflows). (Checked Oct 17, 2026.) |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Scope (our reading): Station 1's FAQ says it turns the conversations superintendents are already having into complete daily logs: supers call or text throughout the day, or on the drive home, and Station 1 files the log into Procore or Autodesk and sends role-based briefs. Crewscope calls itself AI field intelligence for construction, industrial and mining frontline crews: it pushes the weekly schedule to every worker's phone by text and says workers text what they see while "Crewscope AI structures it, routes it, and closes it". Station 1 centres on the super; Crewscope's homepage addresses owners and developers, general contractors and industrial operators.
- No app, no login: both work over an ordinary phone. Station 1 says there is no app to install, no laptop and no form, and that it asks simple questions by text, by voice or through an on-site kiosk. Crewscope says it is SMS-first with no app, no passwords and no training, and that crews can report by text, voice or photo.
- The daily log: Station 1's FAQ says a log captures who was on site and for how long (company, worker counts and hours), the work performed, delays and their causes, material issues, crew feedback and safety observations; its homepage sample groups manpower, delays, inspections, safety, deliveries, weather, visitors and equipment. Crewscope's features page says site staff report activity, labor and constraints by voice or text during the day and Crewscope turns it into a finished daily log, ready to review before the shift ends.
- Beyond the daily log: Station 1 adds briefs, short summaries filtered to one role (PMs get flags, delays and decisions; leadership gets company-wide visibility) delivered by email, text or podcast. Crewscope lists safety reporting (hazards, near misses and good catches), a schedule lookahead its AI prepares from the integrated master schedule with crews texting progress, QR equipment check-in and check-out matched against office POs, deficiencies closed with photo proof, worker certifications with expiry reminders, and maintenance inspections and repairs.
- Systems they feed (vendor statements): Station 1 says completed field reports auto-populate Procore daily logs, while for Autodesk it files each day's log to the project as a PDF in a Station 1 folder, with structured Daily Log entries "coming soon"; it is listed on the Procore and Autodesk marketplaces and sign-up uses a Procore or Autodesk login. Crewscope's integrations page describes two-way, real-time sync of supported records (deficiencies, observations, inspections, photos and daily logs), names Procore integrations, and says its team gets on site to configure workflows; its homepage claims it goes live in a week with standard integrations.
- AI labels in our directory: Crewscope describes Crewscope AI throughout its pages, so we tag it AI-first. Station 1's pages describe call and text capture, automatic mapping into Procore or Autodesk, and briefs, but do not describe the product as AI, so we tag it Not AI-first.
- Pricing: Station 1 publishes one plan at $99 per project reported on per month, with a 5-project monthly minimum ($495); projects are billed only in a month someone calls or texts a report into them, with no setup fee, no annual contract and 30 days free with no card on file. Crewscope publishes no prices; its site routes to a demo.
- Claims and security (vendor statements, not verified): Crewscope says it is SOC 2 Type II attested and cites customer case figures such as 28 days ahead of schedule (Deltera/Hazelview), 100% jobsite adoption in 8 weeks (EllisDon) and a 35% increase in weekly production (Amrize). Station 1's homepage says 75%+ of field knowledge never makes it into your systems. The Station 1 pages we read did not mention a security attestation.
Paraphrased from the sources listed above. Vendor claims are reported as claims.
What we can't tell you yet
Which tool is better for your work. That needs testing on the same package with a verified answer key. Planned measures for this comparison:
- How each one handles a super or crew that reports in another language, or a call with heavy background noise
- Whether Station 1's Autodesk PDF filing is enough for your records until structured Daily Log entries ship, and which Crewscope records sync two-way with your own Procore setup
- What Crewscope costs for a site of your size, and how Station 1's per-project billing adds up across a month of active and quiet jobs
