Cupix vs Oculo
Two 360° capture platforms that turn routine site walks into a visual record and AI progress updates. Cupix turns 360° video into measurable 3D models in a 4D digital twin that also holds laser scans, drone orthophotos and BIM, with a SiteInsights add-on that needs a BIM model to track element-level progress. Oculo maps passive 360° walkthroughs to floor plans and uses AI to report progress by floor, unit and trade, and says BIM is not required.
In short: Cupix (360° digital twin; no public prices (quote / sales)) vs Oculo (360° capture & AI progress; no public prices (quote / sales)). Facts last checked Oct 22, 2026. No winner declared; not tested.

| What it does | 4D digital twin platform whose "spatial AI" turns 360° video into measurable 3D models over time, plus a SiteInsights AI progress add-on. Customers use it to digitize sites, reduce visits, track changes and validate work, and it unifies laser scans, drone orthophotos and BIM; it is also used in oil & gas, manufacturing and government. SiteInsights uses computer vision and geometry to detect changes between 360° captures against BIM and the schedule, needs a BIM model, and its 4.0 release (Jun 2026) added an AI S-curve forecast and an Oracle Primavera Cloud integration. It names integrations with BIM 360, Autodesk Forma, Procore, Revizto, Oracle and ArcGIS, and lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and CSA STAR. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: unchanged; the SiteInsights page names Oracle P6 and Microsoft Project among compatible scheduling platforms. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: the homepage now says Cupix is trusted by 70% of the ENR Top 30 general contractors, has captured over 20,000 project sites since 2023 and verifies more than 1 million as-built BIM elements a day (vendor claims, not verified), and lists industries from data centers, healthcare and airports to linear infrastructure, oil and gas and maritime. Its integrations heading names Procore, but the sentence under it lists only BIM 360, Autodesk Forma, Revizto, Oracle and ArcGIS, so confirm the Procore connection with the vendor. Re-checked Oct 22, 2026: homepage and SiteInsights page unchanged in substance (360° video turned into measurable 3D models; laser scans, drone orthophotos and BIM in one platform; SiteInsights needs a BIM model, detects changes between captures with computer vision and geometry, filters by trade, level and work area, forecasts completion dates from the past rate of work, works with Oracle P6 and Microsoft Project, and takes 4-6 weeks to set up with the customer success team). The homepage served to us also carried Korean-language sections and lorem ipsum placeholder text, and its second integrations block now lists BIM 360, ACC, Revizto and ArcGIS. The security page still lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001. ENR, site-count and case-study figures remain vendor claims and are not used. | Passive 360° site walks turned into AI visual progress tracking and forecasts by project, area, unit and activity. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: the homepage says the AI progress updates can support pay apps and hand-off decisions and that forecasts are based on weeks of progress data; a Willmott Dixon case study describes documenting fire safety assets on a high-rise cladding refurbishment in north London. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: unchanged in substance (360° capture through passive walks, AI progress updates for pay apps and hand-offs, forecasts from weeks of progress data; case studies with Willmott Dixon, Meldrum Group, HB Reavis on Varso Tower and Lovell with Symetri). Re-read Oct 22, 2026 for a compare: homepage, Why Oculo, Reality Capture, Project Intelligence and FAQ pages read. Passive 360° walkthroughs are mapped to floor plans and organised over time; AI analyses each walkthrough for progress across floors, units and trades and highlights coordination issues and slowdowns, aimed at multi-unit construction teams. The FAQ says BIM is not required (floor plans and/or a 3D model are needed for processing, with side-by-side BIM comparison available), capture works without Wi-Fi or GPS including basements and tunnels, supported cameras are Insta360 (X5 recommended) and Ricoh models, cameras can be hired for one-off scans or demos, faces are blurred, and there is no limit on users per project. The site names Autodesk, Procore and Fieldview integrations for creating issues. Customer quotes and case-study outcomes are vendor material and not used. |
| Who it's for | General contractors, owners and operators. | Contractors and developers (UK housebuilder quoted). |
| Pricing (as publicly stated) | Custom quote / no public prices (re-checked Oct 17, 2026): the pricing link redirects to Cupix's contact sales page, which also offers a free start for capturing a project. The SiteInsights FAQ says its pricing takes into account total project value, square footage and other factors. Confirm current pricing with the vendor. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: unchanged; /pricing still opens the contact-sales page, which offers a free start for capturing a project, and shows no figures. Re-checked Oct 22, 2026: unchanged; /pricing still opens a contact-sales page (Start for free with Cupix) with no figures, and the SiteInsights FAQ still says pricing takes into account total project value, square footage and other factors. | No public prices found (checked Oct 16 and Oct 19, 2026): the vendor site has no pricing or plans link in its navigation or footer, and /pricing and /plans return a not-found page. The site's calls to action are "Book a demo", "Contact us". Confirm current pricing with the vendor. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: unchanged; the homepage still has no pricing link and its calls to action are Book a demo and Contact Us. Re-checked Oct 22, 2026: unchanged; /pricing returns a not-found page and the calls to action are still Book a demo and Contact Us. |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Capture: Cupix says its AI turns 360° video into 3D spaces you can measure, view from above and compare over time, from building sites to railways, plants and vessel interiors. Oculo captures passively during routine site walks with supported Insta360 (X5 recommended) or Ricoh cameras and its mobile app, works without Wi-Fi or GPS (including basements and tunnels) and uploads afterwards; it can hire out cameras for one-off scans or demos.
- BIM: Cupix's SiteInsights FAQ says a BIM model is required for its AI to measure progress; it detects changes between captures with computer vision and geometry and tracks BIM elements such as ducts, walls and windows. Oculo's FAQ says BIM is not required (it needs floor plans and/or a 3D model to process footage) and that it can show captures side by side with a BIM model.
- AI progress and forecasting: SiteInsights reports completion by trade, level and work area, color-codes overdue elements, shows Gantt charts and forecasts completion dates from the past rate of work; setup takes 4-6 weeks with Cupix's customer success team. Oculo says its AI analyses each walkthrough for progress across floors, units and trades, highlights coordination issues and slowdowns, and forecasts from weeks of progress data, aimed at multi-unit construction teams.
- Other data and outputs: Cupix brings laser scans, drone orthophotos and BIM into the same platform. Oculo adds issue tracking inside the 360° view and exports site reports and schedules of condition to PDF or Word.
- Integrations: Cupix names BIM 360, ACC, Autodesk Forma, Revizto, Oracle and ArcGIS (its heading also names Procore), and SiteInsights works with Oracle P6 and Microsoft Project. Oculo names Autodesk, Procore and Fieldview integrations for creating issues.
- Security and privacy (vendor statements): Cupix lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001. Oculo says it blurs faces and addresses GDPR in its FAQ; we could not read its trust center page.
- Pricing (checked Oct 22, 2026): neither publishes prices. Cupix's pricing link opens a contact-sales page offering a free start, and the SiteInsights FAQ says pricing depends on total project value, square footage and other factors. Oculo has no pricing page (/pricing not found) and routes buyers to a demo; its FAQ says there is no limit on users per project.
- Not used here: Cupix's ENR, site-count, element-count and case-study figures, and customer quotes and case-study outcomes from both (vendor material). Neither tool has been tested by Means & Methods Lab.
