Rhumbix vs Arcoro Time
Two field timekeeping products for contractors with different scope. Not like-for-like (our reading): Rhumbix is a field workforce management platform (timecards, production tracking, T&M, change orders, daily reports and analytics) that Autodesk has agreed to acquire, quote only; Arcoro Time (formerly ExakTime) is GPS-verified time tracking that connects to Arcoro Payroll or your payroll provider, with published per-employee prices. Neither describes AI in the product. Desk research from vendor pages read Oct 20, 2026; not tested, no winner.
In short: Rhumbix (Field timekeeping, production & daily reports; no public prices (quote / sales)) vs Arcoro Time (formerly ExakTime) (GPS time tracking for construction crews; vendor publishes prices). Facts last checked Oct 20, 2026. No winner declared; not tested.

| AI role (our label) | Not AI-first | Not AI-first |
| What it does | Field-first workforce management platform for trade contractors, self-perform divisions and GCs, covering timecards, production, T&M and dailies. It lists payroll-ready timecards, cost-coded production tracking against budget, time & materials (out-of-scope work) tracking from submission to approval, and daily field reports that bring daily and weekly reports into one tool, with configurable workflows and analytics. The vendor says many field forms can be trained and deployed in as little as 2 weeks and cites RG Construction saving over 200 work hours each week (vendor claims). The homepage we read Oct 16, 2026 does not describe AI features. Autodesk said on March 31, 2026 that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire Rhumbix. Re-read Oct 19, 2026: the homepage still shows the Autodesk acquisition banner and adds a case-study headline about a specialty drywall contractor saving up to 20 hours a week on timekeeping (vendor claim); it still does not describe AI features. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: the homepage still shows the Autodesk acquisition banner and still does not describe AI features; its navigation now lists change order tracking, health and safety reporting and a no-code Data Explorer alongside timekeeping, production, T&M and daily reports. | GPS-verified time tracking for contractors and construction crews, renamed from ExakTime to Arcoro Time. The exaktime.com site now redirects to arcoro.com/exaktime. The page lists geofenced clock-ins limited to a job site, breadcrumb tracking, project and cost-code hours, tool and equipment tracking with incident/repair notes, a daily employee work report across job sites, regular vs overtime hours by site, start/stop detail per employee, a tablet kiosk option with face photos at clock-in (per a customer quote on the page), and connection to Arcoro Payroll or your payroll provider. Integrations named: QuickBooks, Sage, ADP, Acumatica, Foundation and Viewpoint. The FAQ says GPS is active only while an employee is on the clock. Savings figures on the page cite American Payroll Association estimates (vendor-cited, not verified). The only AI mention we found is AI-powered support tools in Arcoro's support center; the time-tracking product itself is not described as AI. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: Arcoro now publishes an Arcoro Time pricing page (see Pricing). The time product is still not described as AI, so the tag stays. Re-checked Oct 20, 2026: the product page and pricing page are unchanged in substance (geofenced clock-ins, breadcrumb tracking, cost codes, equipment tracking, daily reports; AI mentioned only for support tools). The homepage now says Arcoro Time has served the construction industry since 2018. |
| Who it's for | Trade contractors, self-perform divisions of GCs, project owners and public-sector teams; foremen through payroll and accounting. | Construction contractors and payroll administrators replacing paper time cards with GPS-verified, cost-coded time. |
| Pricing (as publicly stated) | Not publicly listed (contact sales / demo). (Checked Oct 16, 2026.) Re-checked Oct 19 and Oct 20, 2026: still no prices; contact sales / demo. | Vendor-listed prices (Arcoro Time pricing page, checked Oct 19, 2026; unchanged Oct 20, 2026): Time Essential starts at $9, Time Professional at $12 and Time + Payroll at $20 per employee per month, with an annual contract and annual payment terms; monthly and quarterly payment terms are also available, and volume pricing is offered for organizations with 200+ employees. Time Essential covers mobile time and attendance, GPS/location tracking, meal-break tracking, custom forms and alerts; Time Professional adds job-assignment scheduling and PTO administration; Time + Payroll adds paying employees through Arcoro Payroll. A free trial is offered. Confirm current terms with the vendor. Earlier note (Oct 16, 2026): no public prices found (demo request; exaktime.com/pricing/ redirected to a 404 on arcoro.com). |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Time capture: Rhumbix lists crew or individual time entry for payroll and job cost accounting, with payroll-ready timecards. Arcoro Time lists GPS geofences that limit clock-ins to a job site, breadcrumb geotracking, project and cost codes, regular and overtime hours by site and each employee's start and stop detail; a customer quote on the page mentions a tablet kiosk with face photos at clock-in.
- Beyond time: Rhumbix adds production tracking of installed quantities and labor productivity against budget, T&M work tracking from submission to approval, change order tracking, daily reports built from timecards, health and safety reporting, custom forms and workflows, Field Analytix and a no-code Data Explorer for reports and dashboards. Arcoro Time adds tool and equipment tracking with incident and repair notes, a daily employee work report across sites, custom forms, meal-break tracking, job-assignment scheduling and PTO administration on higher plans.
- Payroll and accounting: Arcoro Time connects to Arcoro Payroll (its Time + Payroll plan pays employees through it) or your payroll provider, and says it works with leading construction ERP and accounting systems. Rhumbix lists integrations and describes itself as designed for connected workflows; the homepage we read names no specific systems.
- Who it is for: Rhumbix names trade contractors, self-performing GCs, general contractors, project owners and the public sector, with specialty pages from electrical and mechanical to heavy civil, drilling and pipeline. Arcoro Time is aimed at construction crews, contractors and payroll administrators replacing paper time cards.
- Ownership: Rhumbix's homepage carries the banner "Autodesk has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Rhumbix!". Arcoro Time is part of Arcoro's HR and payroll platform.
- AI: neither product page describes AI in the time tracking itself; Arcoro mentions AI-powered tools only in its support center. Both stay Not AI-first.
- Pricing (checked Oct 20, 2026): Arcoro lists Time Essential from $9, Time Professional from $12 and Time + Payroll from $20 per employee per month on an annual contract, with monthly and quarterly payment terms, volume pricing for 200+ employees and a free trial. Rhumbix publishes no prices; the call to action is a demo.
- Not used here: Rhumbix's project count and case-study time savings, Arcoro's payroll savings calculator figures (which cite American Payroll Association estimates) and customer quotes. Neither tool has been tested by Means & Methods Lab.
