PlanRadar vs RDrive

Two field quality platforms for defects, snagging or punch lists, inspections and handover records. PlanRadar sells per-user plans with published prices and adds PlanRadar AI (agents, AI form building, voice-to-ticket capture and an assistant) on its higher plans. RDrive, which grew out of SnagR, sells a modular suite (field capture, NCRs, progress monitoring, BIM, a permanent archive and blockchain-backed audit trails) by quote and describes no AI. Vendor pages read Oct 21, 2026; desk research, not tested, no winner.

What it doesConstruction and real estate platform for site diaries, tasks, inspections, defects and punch lists, handovers and maintenance. Modules listed: site diaries, subcontractor task management, inspections, checklists and safety audits, defect management and snagging / punch lists, handovers, and evidence/claims management, plus facility fault recording and maintenance. PlanRadar AI (planradar.ai and pricing table, re-checked Oct 16, 2026) describes AI Agents that watch a project and take allowed actions, AI form building from a description or uploaded document, voice-to-ticket capture, a natural-language assistant on project data, auto project-status overviews, AI search across site data, Help Center answers, and recommendations for upcoming actions; the AI site says enterprise-grade security with zero training on your data and ISO certification (vendor claims). SiteView 360° reality capture is an add-on; PlanRadar Connect lists 200+ no-code integrations and an open API. Subcontractors and watchers are free. Vendor cites 200,000+ users in 75+ countries and GDPR / ISO 27001 (vendor claims). Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: modules, the PlanRadar AI feature list (Agents, form generation, voice-to-ticket capture, assistant, overviews, search, Help Center answers, recommendations) and the 200,000+ users in 75+ countries figure are unchanged. The pricing FAQ also says up to 10 monthly-cancellable licences can be bought per account through self-service, and cites customer-reported ROI of up to 9 times and efficiency gains of up to 70% (vendor claims, not verified).Field digitalisation platform for forms, issues, progress monitoring, BIM and project archiving, from the SnagR lineage. The vendor says SnagR evolved into RDrive (18 years, 95,000+ projects, 3,000+ organisations, 60+ countries — vendor claims). Product suite covers RDrive Field (forms, issues, offline capture), Progress Monitoring, Insight dashboards, BIM (2D/3D/4D field-to-model), RKive permanent project archive without ongoing licence fees, Proof Of Work blockchain-backed audit trails, Data Bridge integrations, and Academy training. Quality solutions highlight snagging and de-snagging, non-conformance reports (NCRs) with drawing markups, inspection requests, permits, issue analysis / root-cause dashboards, and site diaries. The pages we read do not describe generative AI, so we tag it Not AI-first. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: the homepage now frames the suite as the RDrive Golden Thread (one connected record of progress, quality, BIM, safety and handover from design to handover), lists 10 languages next to the client, country and project counts (vendor claims), and names construction, infrastructure, shipbuilding, rail and facilities management. It still describes no AI, so the tag stays. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: homepage and NCR page unchanged in substance. The solutions menu now also lists testing and commissioning, asset tagging, dilapidation and condition surveys, RFIs and a safety set (HSE Pro, permits, incidents, audits, COSHH, worker welfare, training log, plant and equipment checks, risk assessments, fire safety); the industries menu names construction, developers and operators, facilities management, rail and infrastructure, data centres, fit-out, shipbuilding and rolling stock; and the dashboards product is now listed as RDrive Analytics. Still no AI described, so the tag stays.

Pricing (as publicly stated)Vendor-listed USD prices per user/month: Basic $32 (max 1 user), Starter $107 and Pro $159 billed annually; $35, $119 and $179 billed monthly. Enterprise is by quote (contact sales). The vendor FAQ says buyers of more than two licences create a trial account and then get a customised offer from sales (Starter, Pro or Enterprise yearly). Pricing table lists the AI Assistant / AI workflow features on Pro and Enterprise only (shared workspace usage limits apply). 30-day free trial; subcontractors included free. Vendor FAQ notes a 4% innovation fee from the second billing period. (Re-checked Oct 17, 2026.) Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: unchanged ($32 / $107 / $159 per user per month billed annually, $35 / $119 / $179 monthly, Enterprise by quote; 30-day free trial; the 4% innovation fee is still in the FAQ). Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: unchanged in the default view (Basic $32 for 1 user, Starter $107, Pro $159 per user per month; Enterprise by quote; AI workflow features on Pro and Enterprise; subcontractors and watchers free). The FAQ did not render in our read, so the 4% innovation fee was not re-confirmed.Not publicly listed (vendor describes transparent modular SaaS / scalable pricing; no dollar list on the homepage we read). (Checked Oct 16, 2026; unchanged Oct 19, 2026, rdrive.io/en/pricing returned 404.) Where the vendor descriptions differ

  • Who each names: PlanRadar names contractors, real estate owners, inspectors and facility managers. RDrive's industries menu names construction, developers and operators, facilities management, rail and infrastructure, data centres, fit-out, shipbuilding and rolling stock.
  • Defects and punch: PlanRadar pins punch list tickets to digital plans and BIM models with photos, videos, text and voice recordings, assigns them with deadlines to subcontractors, who access and update their items free, and exports reports in the user's own template, filterable by contractor or trade. RDrive covers snagging and de-snagging from first pin to sign-off, and NCRs raised from any device (offline too), linked to drawings or locations with markups, assigned with deadlines and tracked to close-out; it says it maps a firm's existing NCR process into the digital workflow.
  • Wider scope: PlanRadar lists site diaries, inspections and checklists, approval workflows for RFIs, submittals and change orders, document management, Gantt scheduling, QR codes and NFC tags, and SiteView 360° capture as an add-on. RDrive lists inspection requests, testing and commissioning, asset tagging, condition surveys, site diaries, RFIs, a safety suite (permits, incidents, audits, COSHH, risk assessments, fire safety), progress monitoring against the plan, 2D, 3D and 4D BIM, RKive (a permanent searchable archive with no ongoing licence fees) and Proof Of Work blockchain-backed audit trails.
  • AI: PlanRadar AI describes agents that watch a project and take allowed actions, AI form building from a description or uploaded document, voice-to-ticket capture, a natural-language assistant on project data, AI search and recommendations for upcoming actions; the pricing table lists AI workflow features and the AI Assistant on Pro and Enterprise. The RDrive pages we read describe no AI.
  • Integrations: PlanRadar Connect lists 200+ no-code integrations and an open API, plus Microsoft 365 on its document management plans. RDrive Data Bridge lists two-way integrations with EDMS, ERP and scheduling systems and syncs NCRs and supporting documents, with metadata, to a document management system.
  • Pricing (checked Oct 21, 2026): PlanRadar lists Basic $32 (one user), Starter $107 and Pro $159 per user per month billed annually (annual saves more than 10% against monthly billing), Enterprise by quote, unlimited free subcontractors and watchers, and a 30-day free trial with no credit card. RDrive's /pricing returns 404; its homepage describes transparent, modular SaaS pricing with no figures, and its call to action is Book A Demo.
  • Not used here: PlanRadar's user and country counts, hours-saved, ROI and efficiency figures; RDrive's client, country, project and years-in-business figures and customer quotes (vendor claims). Neither tool has been tested by Means & Methods Lab.
