Procore AI vs Autodesk Assistant
The AI built into the two largest construction management platforms in our directory, compared on RFIs, submittals, guardrails, and pricing. Each works on records inside its own platform. Vendor-published facts only.

| What it does | AI layer and agents inside the Procore construction management platform. Vendor says agents execute workflows in Procore through over 150 built-in actions that create or update records such as RFIs, change events, daily logs, and action plans; agents can be triggered by project events or run on a recurring schedule; answers carry numbered citations to source files; permissions follow existing Procore roles; and agents never take action without sign-off. Procore describes a proprietary reasoning model, Magpie, trained on industry data, and says customer data is never used to train models like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. Starter Pack agents listed: Deep Search, RFI (drafts RFIs from project context), Submittal Review (cross-checks submittals against the spec book), Daily Log, and Contract Review (flags scope gaps or risk). Plans page lists large language models from Anthropic and Google on Starter, and Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI on Pro and Enterprise. Customer figures on its AI page (e.g. Haskell cutting submittal review cycles from one week to 10 minutes) are vendor claims, not verified. | AI assistant built into Autodesk Forma; Autodesk says Autodesk Construction Cloud is now part of Forma. Autodesk describes it as a project-level agent that searches specifications, RFIs, issues, submittals, meetings, change orders, and schedules in natural language, drafts emails, summaries, reports, and dashboards, and keeps a reusable prompt library; its blog (updated June 3, 2026) says the Assistant for construction workflows is out of beta. In the Build RFIs tool, an RFI AI Agent (enabled per project) searches the project's specifications and closed RFIs as a question is typed and returns a verdict (No RFI needed, RFI recommended, or Couldn't determine), and AI can pre-fill RFI fields (title, question, category, discipline, cost and schedule impact, priority, location details) from a prompt for the user to review. Autodesk's help page says the Assistant uses pretrained third-party models and does not share customer data with those providers, sets query limits of 100 per project member per 24 hours and 500 per project per 24 hours, and says responses may not be complete or accurate. Autodesk says Forma has more than 15 AI-powered capabilities (vendor claim). |
| Who it's for | Procore customers (GCs, owners, specialty contractors). | Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) project teams; Autodesk says access depends on license type and user permissions. |
| Pricing (as publicly stated) | Not publicly listed. Not charged per seat. Digital Coworker Starter Pack: 6-month term, flat-rate pricing, up to 3 projects, 5 agents. Digital Coworker Pro (20 agents, video analysis, scheduled automations) and Enterprise (20+ agents, Agent Studio for custom agents, deployment specialist support, BI connection): 12-month terms with credit usage-based pricing; Procore says credits are consumed at data ingest and when agents perform tasks. No prices shown. (Re-checked Oct 15, 2026.) | Not publicly listed. Autodesk's pricing page lists bundles (Model Management, Preconstruction, Construction Operations) and says it supports user, project, and account-based pricing; no prices appeared in the page text we fetched. Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Where it lives: Procore AI runs inside Procore. Autodesk Assistant runs inside Autodesk Forma, which Autodesk says now includes Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- RFIs: Procore lists an RFI Agent that drafts RFIs from project context. Autodesk describes an RFI AI Agent that searches specifications and closed RFIs and returns a No RFI needed, RFI recommended, or Couldn't determine verdict, plus AI that pre-fills RFI fields from a prompt for review.
- Submittals and contracts: Procore lists a Submittal Review Agent (cross-checks submittals against the spec book) and a Contract Review Agent. Autodesk Assistant searches and summarizes submittals, RFIs, specs, and other records in natural language; AutoSpecs, a separate Autodesk product, drafts submittal logs from specs.
- Models and data: Procore describes its own reasoning model, Magpie, lists Anthropic, Google, and (on Pro and Enterprise) OpenAI language models, and says customer data is never used to train third-party models. Autodesk says the Assistant uses pretrained third-party models and does not share customer data with those providers.
- Controls: Procore says agents never act without sign-off, answers carry citations, and permissions follow Procore roles. Autodesk says users must review AI-filled fields, access depends on license type and permissions, and queries are limited (100 per project member and 500 per project per 24 hours).
- Pricing: neither lists prices. Procore's AI plans are not per seat: a 6-month flat-rate Starter Pack for up to 3 projects, and 12-month credit usage-based Pro and Enterprise plans. Autodesk's pricing page describes bundles and user, project, and account-based pricing.

What we can't tell you yet
Which tool is better for your work. That needs testing on the same package with a verified answer key. Planned measures for this comparison:
- How often each RFI assistant's 'already answered' result is correct on the same project record
- Credit or query consumption on a typical month of RFIs and submittals
