Cupix vs Hexagon Multivista Building Progress Reporting
Two ways to turn 360° site captures and a BIM model into AI-measured progress by trade or floor. Not quite like-for-like (our reading): Cupix sells software, a 4D digital twin platform with a SiteInsights progress add-on that your team captures for, while Hexagon Multivista Building Progress Reporting is a managed service in which Hexagon technology detects progress and expert analysts QA every update, with capture by Multivista or your own team. Compared using only vendor pages re-read Oct 17, 2026; desk research, not tested, no winner.
In short: Cupix (360° digital twin; no public prices (quote / sales)) vs Hexagon Multivista Building Progress Reporting (Progress reporting service; no public prices (quote / sales)). Facts last checked Oct 17, 2026. No winner declared; not tested.

| What it does | 4D digital twin platform whose "spatial AI" turns 360° video into measurable 3D models over time, plus a SiteInsights AI progress add-on. Customers use it to digitize sites, reduce visits, track changes and validate work, and it unifies laser scans, drone orthophotos and BIM; it is also used in oil & gas, manufacturing and government. SiteInsights uses computer vision and geometry to detect changes between 360° captures against BIM and the schedule, needs a BIM model, and its 4.0 release (Jun 2026) added an AI S-curve forecast and an Oracle Primavera Cloud integration. It names integrations with BIM 360, Autodesk Forma, Procore, Revizto, Oracle and ArcGIS, and lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and CSA STAR. | Compares 360° site photos with the 3D model and schedule to report progress by trade, floor or system. This progress reporting service from Hexagon Multivista uses automated model-to-photo comparison of 360° photos against a federated 3D model (NWD) and a project schedule (P6 or Excel), marking model elements built or unbuilt and reporting progress by trade, floor, or system. Hexagon says its technology detects progress automatically and expert analysts QA every update. Its FAQ says building progress reporting requires an NWD model, a P6 or Excel schedule, and 360° photos from approved apps such as Multivista or Hexagon GoCapture; drone and SLR photos are not supported; setup can take up to 6-8 weeks; and reports are typically available 48-72 hours after images are posted. Lists compatibility with Autodesk ACC, Procore, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project, and up to 10 years of data hosting. It sits in Hexagon Multivista's Analyze services alongside deviation analysis (which Hexagon describes as an AI-driven model-to-scan comparison) and UAV-based earthwork progress reporting. Separately, Hexagon announced on Oct 6, 2022 that it would integrate AVVIR's AI-powered technology into its construction portfolio; we did not find a Hexagon page naming AVVIR as the engine of this service. Re-read Oct 17, 2026: the same service page also advertises "agnostic data inputs" (360° photos, LiDAR scans or third-party tools, self-captured or Multivista-captured), which is broader than its FAQ; Hexagon's GoCapture app lets project teams self-capture 360° photos, 360° walks or 2D photos mapped to floor plans and BIM in its Analyze Hub. |

| Pricing (as publicly stated) | Custom quote / no public prices (re-checked Oct 17, 2026): the pricing link redirects to Cupix's contact sales page, which also offers a free start for capturing a project. The SiteInsights FAQ says its pricing takes into account total project value, square footage and other factors. Confirm current pricing with the vendor. | No public prices found (re-checked Oct 17, 2026): the service page has no pricing link, and multivistaservices.hexagon.com/pricing returns a not-found page. Calls to action: "Book a demo" and "Contact us". A dollar figure on the page is a customer testimonial claim, not a price. Confirm current pricing with the vendor. |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Scope (vendor wording): Cupix describes a 4D digital twin platform that turns 360° video into measurable 3D maps with "Cupix's AI technology", records spatial changes over time, and unifies laser scans, drone orthophotos and BIM in one place; its SiteInsights add-on is sold as AI construction progress tracking. Hexagon Multivista lists Building Progress Reporting under its Analyze services, describing automated model-to-photo comparisons that generate schedule-based progress metrics "using reality capture data, proprietary technology, and expert staff"; Multivista also sells capture (photo documentation, 3D laser scanning, drones, webcams and the GoCapture self-capture app) and modeling services.
- Inputs: Cupix's SiteInsights FAQ says you must have BIM models for its AI to measure progress, schedules come from Oracle P6, Microsoft Project or a WBS or CSV file, and it recommends a site capture at least once a week. Hexagon Multivista's FAQ says progress reporting needs a federated 3D model in NWD format, a P6 or Excel schedule and 360° photos from approved apps such as Multivista or Hexagon GoCapture, and that drone and SLR photos are not supported; the same page also advertises "agnostic data inputs" (360° photos, LiDAR scans or third-party tools), so ask which inputs apply to your project.
- How progress is measured and who checks it: Cupix says SiteInsights uses computer vision and geometry to detect changes between each 360° capture, tags the status of tracked BIM elements, and lets you edit dates or statuses by hand, for example after a missed capture. Hexagon Multivista says its technology detects progress automatically and expert analysts QA every update, and reports show model elements as built or unbuilt with side-by-side views and schedule-versus-progress views by trade or floor. Cupix's pages we read do not describe a per-report human review step.
- Reporting and forecasting: Cupix's SiteInsights 4.0 post (Jun 24, 2026) describes an AI-calculated S-curve forecast from capture data, Table and Gantt views of level-by-trade delays, a BIM Compare overlay with element statuses (Complete, Active, Delayed, Not Tracked, No Capture, Out of Range), a History View to confirm processing finished, PDF BIM status drawings, and an Oracle Primavera Cloud integration that updates activity progress from captures. Hexagon Multivista says reports appear in its cloud portal by trade, floor or system, users get email alerts when a new report is ready, and project data can be hosted for up to 10 years.
- Setup and turnaround (vendor statements): Cupix says SiteInsights setup takes 4-6 weeks with its customer success team, during which you can keep capturing in CupixWorks; we did not find a stated per-report turnaround. Hexagon Multivista says setup can take up to 6-8 weeks depending on project complexity and that reports are typically available 48-72 hours after 360° images are posted.
- Integrations: Cupix names Autodesk BIM 360, Autodesk Forma (ACC), Procore, Revizto, Oracle and ArcGIS for the platform, and Oracle P6 and Microsoft Project for SiteInsights. Hexagon Multivista lists compatibility with Autodesk ACC, Procore, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Security and privacy (vendor statements, not verified): Cupix lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and CSA STAR, encryption at rest and in transit, an optional customer-owned AWS S3 bucket, two-factor authentication and Azure AD sign-in, audit logs, and AI that detects and blurs faces and bodies in 360° video. The Hexagon Multivista service page refers to a secure cloud platform; we did not find a certification stated on the pages we read.
- Pricing: neither publishes prices. Cupix's pricing link redirects to its contact sales page, which also offers a free start for capturing a project, and its SiteInsights FAQ says pricing takes into account total project value, square footage and other factors. Hexagon Multivista's page routes to a demo or an expert, and /pricing returned a not-found page on Oct 17, 2026. Cupix's homepage percentage figures and the customer testimonials on Multivista's page are not used here.

What we can't tell you yet
Which tool is better for your work. That needs testing on the same package with a verified answer key. Planned measures for this comparison:
- How each tool's percent complete compares with a hand count on an area your team has already measured
- How each handles a mid-project model or schedule change, and how long updated reports take
- What each costs for your project value and square footage
