Sitemate vs Raken
Two daily-report platforms with different bets: Sitemate (Dashpivot) drafts forms and daily reports from voice, photos, weather and location with its built-in Storm AI; Raken is a field-first daily report, time and safety app whose pages do not describe AI. Vendor-published facts only.
Side by side
| Sheet row | Sitemate (Dashpivot + Storm) | Raken |
|---|---|---|
| Category | Field forms, daily reports & voice-to-record AI | Daily reporting & field management |
| AI role (our label) | AI features added to established product | Not AI-first |
| What it does | Field data platform for construction, infrastructure and other built-world teams: Dashpivot (forms, templates and workflows for safety, quality, field reporting, time & materials), the login-free Sitemate App for front-line workers, Flowsite (no-code integrations), Gearbelt (fleet, tools & equipment), an Open API and a Sitemate MCP server with read access to Dashpivot data. Storm is the AI layer built into Dashpivot: the vendor says it drafts daily reports, permits, JSAs, ITPs and timesheets from voice notes, photos, typed notes, weather and location, builds templates from a description or converts uploaded PDF/Word/Excel/photo-of-paper forms, works in multiple languages and offline (queued until reconnect), flags low-confidence fields, and never commits a record on its own: every output is a draft for human review, signature and sign-off fields always need manual action, and admins choose which workspaces, templates and fields Storm can write to. The Storm page also lists LLM selection per workflow. The homepage calls Sitemate the "#1 Front Line AI Company for the Built World" and cites customer-story figures (e.g. 1+ hour saved per crew per day); the Storm FAQ says users cut 20-30 minutes of paperwork per day for one form. These are vendor claims. We tag it AI features added because Storm sits inside the established Dashpivot product. | Field-first web and mobile app for daily progress reports (notes, photos, and videos that sync in real time and generate a shareable PDF daily report), time and production tracking, material and equipment tracking, safety and quality checklists, observations, toolbox talks, incidents with OSHA submit, RFIs, digital forms, and document storage. The homepage and pricing pages we re-checked Oct 16, 2026 still do not describe AI features, so we keep the Not AI-first tag. |
| Who it's for | Infrastructure, civil and building contractors, trades, and supervisors/foremen, engineers, safety and quality teams who want field records drafted from voice and photos. | Contractors' field crews, superintendents, and safety managers. |
| Pricing (as publicly stated) | Per-user (Dashpivot Contributor licenses) for companies up to about 150 employees, Enterprise beyond; Sitemate App users have free and paid licenses; Dashpivot Visitors free and unlimited on Pro and above. Minimum license counts depend on company size (none under 10 employees; 10 Contributor licenses at 10-99; 20 at 100-999; 30 at 1,000+). The pricing page did not render dollar amounts in what we read, so per-seat price is Not publicly listed. Storm FAQ: included on all Dashpivot plans, including free trials, at no additional cost. (Checked Oct 16, 2026.) | Per-user subscription, billed annually, minimum 3 users. Basic $23/user/month; Performance $59/user/month (adds time tracking, production tracking, safety & quality, RFIs/forms/document storage, insights dashboards, dedicated onboarding). Bulk discounts through sales. (Re-checked Oct 16, 2026.) |

Where the vendor descriptions differ
- How the daily gets written: Sitemate says Storm drafts the daily report, timesheet or JSA from voice notes, photos, typed notes, weather and location, then holds it as a draft for human review. Raken describes notes, photos and videos that sync in real time and generate a shareable PDF daily report.
- Control: Sitemate says Storm never commits a record on its own, signature and sign-off fields always need manual action, and admins choose which templates and fields Storm may write to. Raken does not describe AI, so the question there is form configuration and approvals.
- Pricing: Raken publishes Basic $23 and Performance $59 per user/month billed annually (3-user minimum). Sitemate prices Dashpivot per Contributor license with free worker/visitor user types and size-based minimums; dollar prices did not render on the page we read. Storm is included on all Dashpivot plans at no extra cost (vendor FAQ).
- Breadth: Raken bundles time, production, materials/equipment, safety and quality checklists on Performance. Sitemate spans safety, quality, field reporting, T&M, fleet and tools across Dashpivot, Gearbelt and Flowsite, plus an Open API and MCP server.

What we can't tell you yet
Which tool is better for your work. That needs testing on the same package with a verified answer key. Planned measures for this comparison:
- How well each handles a noisy-site voice note in a real daily
- Outside Means & Methods Lab's current benchmark scope.
