Constrafor vs Earlytrade

Two ways a subcontractor can get paid on an approved invoice before the general contractor's normal pay date, funded from different places. Constrafor's Early Pay is invoice financing it offers subs, with published weekly and platform fees, alongside its GC software for subcontracts, prequalification and COI tracking. Earlytrade is early-payment negotiation funded by the GC's own cash: subs choose invoice by invoice whether to ask for early payment and set their own discount, and the GC earns a return. Not like-for-like (our reading): one is a lender-style program for subs, the other a GC-run discounting program. Desk research from vendor sites read Nov 2-3, 2026; no winner.

What it doesConstruction risk management software for GCs (subcontracts, sub prequalification, insurance certificates) plus invoice financing for subs. For general contractors it covers subcontract management, subcontractor onboarding and prequalification, certificate-of-insurance (COI) tracking, contract, invoice and payment management and diversity tracking; growth solutions for subcontractors include cash-flow tools and Early Pay invoice financing. The COI FAQ says it supports OCIPs and CCIPs, tier-2 subcontractor COIs, and review by your broker or audit team. Its prequalification page describes a single master form subs fill once and GCs can customize, free for subcontractors. Retagged from Not AI-first on Oct 16, 2026 because of Insurance CoPilot; the pages we read do not detail what the CoPilot does. Constrafor also sells Cru, which it calls an AI financial OS for subcontractors, with agents for bookkeeping, bills, cash forecasting, job costing, materials, compliance and COIs; Cru says every agent action is approved by the customer's team before it is final, and lists Early Pay, a Cru Card powered by Ramp, read-only connections to QuickBooks, Sage or Foundation, SOC 2 certification, and surety bonds and P&C insurance marked coming soon (vendor statements). Network counters, financing totals, customer quotes and award mentions are vendor content and are not used.Early-payment negotiation for GCs and subs: subs request early payment, and GCs earn a return on their cash. The homepage says commercial GCs with significant subcontractor spend use Earlytrade and keep control of their cash and payments. Its subcontractor page (earlytrade.com/solutions/subcontractors/) says subs see invoice statuses and estimated payment dates, choose invoice by invoice whether to request early payment and set their own discount offer rates, keep submitting invoices the same way, are paid the same way only sooner if they opt in, pay nothing to use the free portal beyond the discount they choose, and put up no security or mandate. The site offers a margin calculator and US, UK and Australia regional sites. The pages read do not describe AI. Return, margin, days-early and ENR figures and customer CFO quotes are vendor content and are not used.

  • What else each covers: Constrafor's GC platform lists subcontract management, subcontractor onboarding and prequalification, COI tracking, contract, invoice and payment management and diversity tracking, and the company also sells Cru, which it calls an AI financial OS for subcontractors. Earlytrade covers the timing and price of payment: invoice statuses, estimated payment dates and early-payment requests in a sub portal, plus a margin calculator for GCs.
  • AI (vendor statements): Constrafor's COI page introduces Insurance CoPilot, an AI risk assistant for insurance-document review, and Cru describes AI agents whose actions the customer's team approves. Earlytrade's pages do not describe AI.

  • Pricing (read Nov 3, 2026): Constrafor publishes Early Pay tiers from 0.4% per week (Blue: 0.4% weekly plus a 1.00% upfront platform fee, no subscription; Gold and Platinum add monthly subscriptions of $1,750 and $3,500 for lower fees), with a $100 minimum platform fee per transaction, and fixed annual GC platform prices from $13,500 a year. Earlytrade publishes no GC pricing (/pricing returns not found) and says the portal is free for subs, with no fee, security or mandate beyond the discount the sub chooses.
  • AI tags: we tag Constrafor as AI features added to an established product and Earlytrade Not AI-first.
  • Not used here: Constrafor's financing totals, network counters and customer quotes, and Earlytrade's return and margin multiples, days-early figures, ENR mentions and customer CFO quotes (vendor material). Facts for both tools come from vendor websites (desk research).
