busybusy vs Sitemate (Dashpivot + Storm)
Two field apps with published per-user prices that come at the jobsite paperwork problem from different ends. busybusy is a GPS time-card app with crew and kiosk clock-in, cost codes, equipment hours and daily project reports assembled from that data, plus a free tier. Sitemate's Dashpivot is a forms, templates and workflow platform for safety, quality and field reporting, with Storm, an AI layer that drafts records from voice notes and photos for human review, included in every plan. Desk research from vendor pages read Oct 26, 2026; not tested, no winner.
In short: busybusy (GPS time tracking & daily project reports; vendor publishes prices) vs Sitemate (Dashpivot + Storm) (Field forms, daily reports & voice-to-record AI; vendor publishes prices). Facts last checked Oct 26, 2026. No winner declared; not tested.

| Sheet row | busybusy | Sitemate (Dashpivot + Storm) |
|---|---|---|
| Category | GPS time tracking & daily project reports | Field forms, daily reports & voice-to-record AI |
| AI role (our label) | Not AI-first | AI features added to established product |
| What it does | GPS time-card app for construction and field industries, with crew clock-in, GPS tracking, cost codes, equipment hours, photos and daily reports. Features listed: clock in/out (individual, supervisor crew clock-in, kiosk), GPS breadcrumbing and required-onsite clock-in, location-based reminders, signed digital time cards, daily safety/injury sign-off, cost codes and job costing, budgets vs actuals, equipment hours and GPS, scheduling, unlimited GPS/time-stamped photos and notes, documents, and customizable daily project reports. The homepage says the daily can auto-generate weather, job costing, equipment, photos, injury report and hours on site for each project, and that kiosk facial recognition "uses AI" to notify the office about buddy punching. That is the only AI use described; the daily report is assembled from captured data, not described as AI-written. Offline mode listed. Homepage figures (e.g. total time-card hours tracked) are vendor claims. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: prices, the free tier, the $40 admin license and the 14-day Pro trial are unchanged (annual billing is described as two free months). Kiosk facial recognition is still the only AI described, so the tag stays. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: the pricing page is unchanged and kiosk facial recognition is still the only AI described, so the tag stays. Re-read Oct 22, 2026: homepage and pricing page unchanged in substance (crew and kiosk clock-in, required-onsite clock-in, location-based reminders, GPS breadcrumbing, signed time cards, daily sign-off, equipment hours and hour meters, budgets vs actuals, auto-assembled daily project reports, offline mode; kiosk facial recognition is still the only AI described). Rankings, customer quotes and hours-tracked figures are vendor material and not used. Re-checked Oct 24, 2026: homepage and pricing page unchanged in substance (kiosk facial recognition that uses AI to flag buddy punching is still the only AI described; Premium adds documents, daily project reports, progress tracking, checklists, team messaging, video and photo markups and Zapier). Award mentions and customer quotes are vendor material and not used. Re-checked Oct 26, 2026: homepage and pricing page unchanged in substance (kiosk facial recognition that uses AI to flag buddy punching is still the only AI described). | Field data platform for construction teams: Dashpivot forms plus Storm, an AI layer that drafts reports for human review. Built for construction, infrastructure and other built-world teams, it lists Dashpivot (forms, templates and workflows for safety, quality, field reporting, time & materials), the login-free Sitemate App for front-line workers, Flowsite (no-code integrations), Gearbelt (fleet, tools & equipment), an Open API and a Sitemate MCP server with read access to Dashpivot data. Storm is the AI layer built into Dashpivot: the vendor says it drafts daily reports, permits, JSAs, ITPs and timesheets from voice notes, photos, typed notes, weather and location, builds templates from a description or converts uploaded PDF/Word/Excel/photo-of-paper forms, works in multiple languages and offline (queued until reconnect), flags low-confidence fields, and never commits a record on its own: every output is a draft for human review, signature and sign-off fields always need manual action, and admins choose which workspaces, templates and fields Storm can write to. The Storm page also lists LLM selection per workflow. The homepage calls Sitemate the "#1 Front Line AI Company for the Built World" and cites customer-story figures (e.g. 1+ hour saved per crew per day); the Storm FAQ says users cut 20-30 minutes of paperwork per day for one form. These are vendor claims. We tag it AI features added because Storm sits inside the established Dashpivot product. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: the default pricing view (11-30 users, 1-year term, USD) still lists Standard $25.20, Pro $45.00, Premium $64.80 and Platinum $84.60 per user per month and paid Sitemate App users $10.80 / $13.50 / $16.20. The Storm page now describes Storm as purpose-trained on built-world documents, with an Updraft intake layer that maps voice, photo and location inputs to your forms, a log of every input, draft, edit and approval with a named owner, and MCP connectors that expose Storm data to AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot. Storm is still included on all Dashpivot plans at no extra cost. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: pricing (rendered in a headless browser), Storm and homepage unchanged in substance; Storm is still included on all Dashpivot plans, including free trials, at no additional cost, with the Updraft intake layer and MCP connectors for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot. Re-checked Oct 23, 2026: the Storm page still describes Storm as a front-line AI agent built into Dashpivot that turns voice notes, photos and observations into draft records, never commits a record on its own (every output is a draft for human review), lets admins lock safety-critical fields to human-only entry, logs every input, draft, edit and approval, and offers MCP connectors to tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot. Re-checked Oct 26, 2026: the Storm page is unchanged in substance (drafts only, never commits a record on its own; admins choose which workspaces, templates and fields Storm can write to and can lock safety-critical fields to human-only entry; the Updraft intake layer; MCP connectors for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot; included on all Dashpivot plans, including free trials, at no additional cost). |
| Who it's for | Construction crews and owners of small to mid-size trade, excavation, restoration and similar field businesses. | Infrastructure, civil and building contractors, trades, and supervisors/foremen, engineers, safety and quality teams who want field records drafted from voice and photos. |

Monthly term lists Standard $28.00, Pro $50.00, Premium $72.00, Platinum $94.00; 2-, 3- and 5-year terms list lower rates (5-year: $18.37 / $32.80 / $47.24 / $61.67). Prices vary by user band, term and currency. Minimum license counts depend on company size (none under 10 employees; 10 Contributor licenses at 10-99; 20 at 100-999; 30 at 1,000+). Storm FAQ: included on all Dashpivot plans, including free trials, at no additional cost. Enterprise Unlimited has no user limit, but the page says additional fees may apply depending on the number of workspaces. Confirm current terms with the vendor. Where the vendor descriptions differ
- Who it is for: busybusy targets construction crews and owners of small to mid-size field businesses who mainly need accurate time cards and job costing. Sitemate targets construction, infrastructure and other built-world teams that run many forms, such as daily reports, permits, JSAs, ITPs and timesheets, and its pricing page says user pricing suits companies with up to 150 employees, with Enterprise beyond that.
- Time and location: busybusy lists individual, supervisor crew and kiosk clock-in, GPS breadcrumbing, required-onsite clock-in, signed digital time cards, daily safety and injury sign-off, cost codes, budgets vs actuals and equipment hours with hour meters. Sitemate's timesheets are one form type among many in Dashpivot; its pages do not describe GPS breadcrumbing.
- Daily reports: busybusy says its daily project report can auto-fill weather, job costing, equipment, photos, injury reports and hours on site from captured data. Sitemate says Storm drafts daily reports and other records from voice notes, photos, typed notes, weather and location, flags low-confidence fields, and never commits a record on its own; admins choose which templates and fields Storm can write to and can lock safety-critical fields to human-only entry (vendor statements).
- AI: busybusy's only described AI is kiosk facial recognition that alerts the office to buddy punching. Sitemate's Storm is a drafting layer included on all Dashpivot plans, including free trials, at no extra cost, and Sitemate offers MCP connectors that expose its data to AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot.
- Pricing (checked Oct 26, 2026): busybusy has a Free plan, Pro at $11.99 per user/month billed monthly or $9.99 annually, and Premium at $17.99 or $14.99, each plus a $40 admin license with the first user included, and a 14-day trial with no credit card. Sitemate's default view (11-30 users, 1-year term, USD) lists Dashpivot Standard $25.20, Pro $45.00, Premium $64.80 and Platinum $84.60 per contributor per month, paid Sitemate App users at $10.80, $13.50 or $16.20, free and unlimited visitors, and Enterprise Unlimited by quote. The two charge for different user types, so per-user prices are not directly comparable.
- Not like-for-like: a crew-based contractor whose main pain is time cards and job costing would look at busybusy; a team that runs many safety and quality forms and wants AI-drafted records would look at Sitemate. Some firms run a time-card app next to a forms platform.
- Not used here: busybusy's hours-tracked figures, awards and customer quotes, and Sitemate's #1 front-line AI line, time-saved figures and customer stories (vendor content).

Questions to ask in your review
- How busybusy's time data and Sitemate's timesheet forms would connect if a company ran both; neither page describes an integration with the other
- How often Storm's drafts need correcting on real jobs; we have not tested it
- What a full crew costs on each once admin licenses, app users and term length are counted for your headcount
- What did you use it for, on what kind of work and project size?
- How long did setup and training take, and who on your team did it?
- What does it cost you in practice, compared with what the sales call said?
