Station 1 vs Sitemate

Two ways to get daily reports out of the field without typing up forms. Station 1 takes a superintendent's phone call or text and files the daily log into Procore or Autodesk, then sends role-based briefs. Sitemate's Dashpivot is a field forms platform whose built-in Storm agent drafts daily reports and other forms from voice notes, photos and location for human review. Both publish prices. Desk research from vendor pages read Oct 27, 2026; not tested, no winner.

What it doesDaily logs by phone call or text that the vendor says are mapped into Procore or Autodesk daily logs, plus role-specific briefs for PMs. Superintendents call or text Station 1 during the day or on the way home, and the vendor says each conversation is mapped into Procore or Autodesk daily logs automatically (manpower, delays, inspections, safety, deliveries, weather, visitors, equipment). PMs and leadership get role-specific briefs by text, email or podcast. Listed on the Procore and Autodesk marketplaces; a demo phone line needs no signup. The homepage does not describe the product as AI, so we do not label it as AI. The homepage listed Groundbreak booth 2401 on Oct 17, 2026; it no longer does on Oct 19, 2026. Re-read Oct 17, 2026 (homepage, pricing and FAQ): the FAQ says supers can answer by text, by voice or through an on-site kiosk, that completed reports auto-populate Procore daily logs, and that for Autodesk each day's log is filed to the project as a PDF in a Station 1 folder, with structured Daily Log entries "coming soon"; sign-up uses a Procore or Autodesk login. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: homepage, pricing and FAQ unchanged in substance; the homepage shows a sample morning brief listing flags and delays for a project. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: homepage, pricing and FAQ unchanged in substance; the pricing page adds a monthly bill estimator, and the FAQ still lists structured Autodesk Daily Log entries as coming soon. The homepage still does not describe the product as AI. Re-checked Oct 23, 2026: unchanged in substance; the FAQ says no app or training is needed, sign-up is at station1.app/register with a Procore or Autodesk login, supers can answer by text, voice or an on-site kiosk, Autodesk logs are filed as a PDF in a Station 1 folder with structured Daily Log entries coming soon, and briefs go out by email, text or podcast. The homepage still does not describe the product as AI, so the Not AI-first label stays. Customer quotes and the field-knowledge percentage are not used. Re-checked Oct 25, 2026: homepage and FAQ unchanged in substance (supers call or text; logs filed into Procore daily logs, Autodesk logs filed as a PDF with structured Daily Log entries still coming soon; briefs by text, email or podcast). The homepage still does not describe the product as AI, so the Not AI-first label stays. Re-checked Oct 27, 2026 (also read for a compare): homepage, pricing and FAQ unchanged in substance (supers call or text; logs auto-populate Procore daily logs, Autodesk logs filed as a PDF in a Station 1 folder with structured Daily Log entries still coming soon; briefs by email, text or podcast; no app or training). The homepage still does not describe the product as AI, so the Not AI-first label stays.Field data platform for construction teams: Dashpivot forms plus Storm, an AI layer that drafts reports for human review. Built for construction, infrastructure and other built-world teams, it lists Dashpivot (forms, templates and workflows for safety, quality, field reporting, time & materials), the login-free Sitemate App for front-line workers, Flowsite (no-code integrations), Gearbelt (fleet, tools & equipment), an Open API and a Sitemate MCP server with read access to Dashpivot data. Storm is the AI layer built into Dashpivot: the vendor says it drafts daily reports, permits, JSAs, ITPs and timesheets from voice notes, photos, typed notes, weather and location, builds templates from a description or converts uploaded PDF/Word/Excel/photo-of-paper forms, works in multiple languages and offline (queued until reconnect), flags low-confidence fields, and never commits a record on its own: every output is a draft for human review, signature and sign-off fields always need manual action, and admins choose which workspaces, templates and fields Storm can write to. The Storm page also lists LLM selection per workflow. The homepage calls Sitemate the "#1 Front Line AI Company for the Built World" and cites customer-story figures (e.g. 1+ hour saved per crew per day); the Storm FAQ says users cut 20-30 minutes of paperwork per day for one form. These are vendor claims. We tag it AI features added because Storm sits inside the established Dashpivot product. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: the default pricing view (11-30 users, 1-year term, USD) still lists Standard $25.20, Pro $45.00, Premium $64.80 and Platinum $84.60 per user per month and paid Sitemate App users $10.80 / $13.50 / $16.20. The Storm page now describes Storm as purpose-trained on built-world documents, with an Updraft intake layer that maps voice, photo and location inputs to your forms, a log of every input, draft, edit and approval with a named owner, and MCP connectors that expose Storm data to AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot. Storm is still included on all Dashpivot plans at no extra cost. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: pricing (rendered in a headless browser), Storm and homepage unchanged in substance; Storm is still included on all Dashpivot plans, including free trials, at no additional cost, with the Updraft intake layer and MCP connectors for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot. Re-checked Oct 23, 2026: the Storm page still describes Storm as a front-line AI agent built into Dashpivot that turns voice notes, photos and observations into draft records, never commits a record on its own (every output is a draft for human review), lets admins lock safety-critical fields to human-only entry, logs every input, draft, edit and approval, and offers MCP connectors to tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot. Re-checked Oct 26, 2026: the Storm page is unchanged in substance (drafts only, never commits a record on its own; admins choose which workspaces, templates and fields Storm can write to and can lock safety-critical fields to human-only entry; the Updraft intake layer; MCP connectors for Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot; included on all Dashpivot plans, including free trials, at no additional cost). Re-checked Oct 27, 2026 (read for a compare): homepage, Storm page and pricing page (rendered) unchanged in substance (Storm drafts records from voice, photos, location and observations; never commits a record on its own; included with Dashpivot with no separate plan or AI add-on; offline; workers' own language; login-free app for workers).

Pricing (as publicly stated)Vendor pricing page (checked Oct 16, 2026): $99 per project reported on each month, with a 5-project monthly minimum ($495). Re-checked Oct 17, 2026: billed only for projects someone reported on that month (setting a project up does not bill it), no setup fee, no annual contract, and 30 days free with no card on file. Re-checked Oct 19, 2026: unchanged; the page adds that after the free 30 days access turns off until a plan is chosen, nothing is deleted, and subscribing is done from Settings in the app. Vendor-listed figures; confirm current terms with the vendor. Re-checked Oct 21, 2026: unchanged ($99 per project reported on per month, 5-project minimum of $495, no setup fee or annual contract, 30 days free with no card). Re-checked Oct 23, 2026: unchanged ($99 per project reported on per month, 5-project monthly minimum of $495, no setup fee or annual contract, 30 days free with no card; bill estimator on the page). Re-checked Oct 25, 2026: changed. The pricing page now says there is no minimum: $99 for each project reported on that month, whether one project or forty (the earlier 5-project, $495 monthly minimum no longer appears). The 30-day free trial now asks for a card at the end of setup, with nothing charged during the trial; billing then starts on its own, each month is billed after it ends, and the first bill comes a month after the trial. Still no setup fee or annual contract; cancel any time from Settings in the app. Re-checked Oct 27, 2026: unchanged ($99 per project reported on per month, no minimum, billed after each month ends; quiet projects not billed; 30 days free with a card added at the end of setup; no setup fee or annual contract; cancel from Settings).Per-user (Dashpivot Contributor licenses) for companies up to about 150 employees, Enterprise unlimited beyond; Sitemate App users have free and paid licenses; Dashpivot Visitors free and unlimited on Pro and above. Where the vendor descriptions differ

  • What each sells (vendor wording): Station 1 says it turns the conversations superintendents are already having into complete daily logs, and sends role-based briefs by email, text or podcast. Sitemate lists Dashpivot (forms, templates and workflows for safety, quality, field reporting and time and materials) and Storm, a front-line AI agent in Dashpivot that turns voice, photos, location and observations into structured records.
  • Field access: Station 1 works over an ordinary call or text, with no app, laptop or form; supers can answer by text, voice or an on-site kiosk. Sitemate gives supervisors the full management app and workers a login-free version, and says it works offline and in the worker's own language.
  • Review and records: Sitemate says Storm never commits a record on its own; every output is a draft to accept, edit, override or reject, and every input, draft, edit and approval is logged. Station 1 says completed reports auto-populate Procore daily logs, while for Autodesk it files each day's log as a PDF in a Station 1 folder, with structured Daily Log entries listed as coming soon.
  • Where the record lives: Station 1 feeds the Procore or Autodesk daily log you already run and says it does not replace them. Sitemate keeps records in Dashpivot and lists no-code integrations, an Open API and an MCP server.
  • AI labels in our directory: Sitemate describes Storm as an AI agent, so we tag it AI features added to an established product. Station 1's pages do not describe the product as AI, so we tag it Not AI-first.
  • Pricing (checked Oct 27, 2026): Station 1 lists $99 per project reported on per month with no minimum, billed after each month ends; projects nobody reported on that month are not billed; 30 days free with a card added at setup. Sitemate's default pricing view (11-30 users, 1-year term, USD) lists Standard $25.20, Pro $45.00, Premium $64.80 and Platinum $84.60 per user per month, and its Storm page says Storm is included with no separate plan or AI add-on. See each tool page for detail.

Good or bad, an honest review from an estimator, PM or super helps the next team more than another vendor demo. You post under a handle; your email is never shown.

Questions to ask in your review

  • Whether your supers would rather call or text a daily log, or work through mobile forms with voice and photo drafting
  • Whether you need the log inside Procore or Autodesk, or a separate forms platform for safety, quality and field records
  • How per-project billing compares with per-user billing for your number of projects, supers and crew
  • What did you use it for, on what kind of work and project size?
  • How long did setup and training take, and who on your team did it?
  • What does it cost you in practice, compared with what the sales call said?
