Groundbreak 2026 AI field guide: exhibitors grouped by the job their AI does

FIELD GUIDE · PUBLISHED · UPDATED · SOURCES CHECKED OCT 16, 2026

Procore's Groundbreak 2026 conference runs October 21-22, 2026 in Orlando. Our Groundbreak 2026 page lists every sponsor, exhibitor and speaker-affiliated company from Procore's official pages. This guide narrows that list to the construction technology companies whose own websites describe AI, and groups them by the job each vendor says its AI does. Every description paraphrases what we recorded on that company's tool page from its own website (most read Oct 16, 2026). They are vendor descriptions and vendor claims, not findings: Means & Methods Lab has not tested any of these products. Sponsorship level plays no part in what is listed or in what order. Companies appear alphabetically within each section, and nothing here is a ranking or a recommendation.

DESK RESEARCH, NOT TESTED. Figures come from the sources listed below. Vendor and company statements are claims and are not verified by Means & Methods Lab.

How to read this guide

Each company carries one of our directory labels, taken from the vendor's own wording: AI-first (the product is built around AI) or AI features added (an established product that now lists AI features). Where a vendor's homepage does not use the word AI, we did not label it AI, even if a feature sounds automated; Station 1, Closeout Pro and TrebleHook are examples, and each tool page explains why.

Every company named below has a tool page with sources and the date we read them; the list at the end of this article links to all of them. Numbers quoted here are vendor claims unless stated otherwise. Pricing is left out of this guide: most of these homepages do not list prices, and where a tool page records published pricing, check it there.

Precon: takeoff, scoping and estimating

AI-first takeoff and scoping: Belidor says you upload plans and specs to create bid packages, with conflicts flagged as potential RFIs for design teams, and claims about 40+ hours of manual scoping per bid becomes about an hour (vendor claim). Bobyard describes AI takeoff and estimating for the trades that it says is trained on millions of drawings, with trade pages for landscaping, mechanical, electrical, finishes, plumbing and paving. BuildCrew.AI calls itself a “Digital Coworker” for precon RFIs, trade scoping, bid leveling and ROM estimates. MeltPlan describes an AI-first precon platform for GCs covering document review, quantity takeoff, scope sheets, bid leveling and cost benchmarks, and claims 10x precon output (vendor claim). Togal.AI says its AI detects, measures and compares spaces and features on drawings, with Togal.CHAT for querying plans, and claims up to 98% accuracy on floor plans (vendor claim). Wyre AI says it turns drawings and specs into structured scopes, risk insights and traceable references to find scope gaps.

AI features added to established estimating platforms: STACK now describes AI that reads uploaded sheets, auto-names pages, flags revisions, auto-counts symbols, suggests scope that may be missed, and pressure-tests pricing in estimates. Zebel covers estimating from concept to GMP with structured historical cost data and an “AI Oversight” feature to catch estimate mistakes. ConCntric describes a data- and AI-driven precon platform uniting cost data, planning, procurement, risk and client communication.

Contracts, documents, drawing QA and RFIs

Contract and spec review: Document Crunch says CrunchAI reviews contracts and project documents and surfaces risk with citations, and that Project Assist is an agentic layer for submittals, notices and RFIs. First Rule describes an AI assistant, Marten, that flags risky clauses (pay-if-paid, indemnity, liquidated damages, notice) against a construction playbook and links each explanation to the exact clause. Provision lists a Chat Agent with source-cited answers, a Scope Agent and Risk Review, which it now describes as contract and spec review in one product; it claims 95% verified accuracy (vendor claim).

Drawing review and QA: Buildcheck describes computer vision on ordinary 2D PDF sets and specs with no BIM model required, findings verified by in-house experts before delivery, and a vendor-stated turnaround of 5-10 days for a full review. Primepoint lists Constructability Review, Submittal Review against specs, an RFI Assistant, a plain-English question interface called Marvin with answers linked to the drawing or spec, and Revision Narrative. Structured AI describes AI drawing review for errors, code issues and coordination clashes across sheets, disciplines and revisions. Bluebeam Max adds AI features to Bluebeam Revu, including Smart Review and Smart Overlay, which Bluebeam says are in preview.

Project knowledge and agents: Datagrid (listed on Groundbreak speaker pages as “Datagrid AI from Procore”) describes AI agents for submittals, RFIs and spec review across connected systems. iFieldSmart AI describes agentic AI across drawings, BIM, specs, RFIs and submittals, with construction specialists reviewing results before delivery. Struction says it answers questions, traces, counts and scopes across drawings, specs, addenda and model elements, citing back to the contract documents. CONXAI describes agentic AI over photos, videos, documents and CAD, with named solutions SiteLens and DocNostic. Neuron Factory describes a knowledge graph that captures documents, decisions and version changes to surface risks. blade ai (Inertia) calls itself a connected intelligence layer linking drawings, models, documents and field activity. AsBuilt adds one-click mapping that scans walls, doors, windows and fixtures on a drawing to its smart-drawing hub.

The host: Procore AI describes agents that work inside Procore through more than 150 built-in actions, with numbered citations, existing permissions, and no action without sign-off (vendor statements). Its Starter Pack agents are listed as Deep Search, RFI, Submittal Review, Daily Log and Contract Review.

Scheduling and site planning

ALICE describes generative scheduling that simulates many construction scenarios to optimize, de-risk and recover schedules, importing Microsoft Project and Primavera schedules. Outbuild calls itself an AI-powered scheduling and field coordination platform linking the master schedule to lookaheads and weekly work plans. Planera describes AI-native CPM scheduling where AI turns plain-English requests into schedules and updates, flags missing logic and shrinking float, and drafts owner updates and delay narratives. cmBuilder, a visual site and logistics planning tool, lists an AI Image Rendering feature.

Field progress, reality capture and cameras

Progress against plan: Buildots compares what is built to the plan and flags deviations that could put the delivery date at risk. Doxel says computer vision measures work-in-place by trade, system and stage from a hard-hat 360 camera walk against BIM. Hexagon Multivista's progress reporting compares 360° photos with a federated model and schedule, with expert analysts checking every update. Oculo turns passive 360° site walks into AI visual progress tracking and forecasts. OpenSpace sells AI progress tracking as the OpenSpace Track add-on, which it describes as having humans in the loop. Track3D says it quantifies installed work from each capture with no BIM model required to start. Turnaround and accuracy figures for all of these are vendor claims; see each tool page.

Capture platforms: Cupix says its “spatial AI” turns 360° video into measurable 3D models over time. DroneDeploy lists Progress AI and Safety AI add-ons on top of aerial and ground capture. Matterport, labeled AI features added in our directory, captures 3D digital twins with Procore and Autodesk integrations.

Jobsite cameras: EarthCam says its machine learning identifies over 110 types of construction materials, vehicles and safety issues (vendor claim). Evercam lists Safety Observations, Smart Search and Automated Gate Reports. Sensera Systems describes solar-powered wireless cameras with AI image review for OSHA Focus Four safety concerns. TrueLook lists AI-powered motion detection for security and TrueAI features including newly released PPE detection.

Safety

Nyfty.ai describes SMS-based AI safety agents for pre-task plans, toolbox talks, orientations, permits and inspections, with no worker app or login and records landing in Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud. Novara Flex says embedded AI in its safety software flags patterns and emerging risks. HammerTech lists HammerTech Intelligence and promotes AI for safety across its site safety and workforce compliance platform. Camera-based safety detection from DroneDeploy, EarthCam, Sensera Systems and TrueLook is covered in the section above.

Materials, procurement and supply chain

Krane describes six AI collaborators covering spec reading and supplier scoring, procurement and submittal logs, trade-partner follow-up for missing lead times, and delivery scheduling. ConstructivIQ describes AI-driven material planning with early warning on at-risk materials. Kojo AP uses AI-powered invoice scanning matched to POs and delivery slips. Remarcable lists AI search, recommendations and document processing for quotes and sales orders. Giatec lists SmartMix, which it describes as AI-powered concrete mix optimization using dispatch and telematics data.

Finance, payments and insurance compliance

Accounting and AP: Adaptive describes AI agents for WIP, change orders, AP, billings, reconciliation and lien waivers that run on top of the existing ERP, and says the AI never auto-posts to the general ledger and every action is reviewed by a human first (vendor statement). Agave describes an AI financial operations platform with ERP sync and AI-assisted accounting workflows. EzzyBills describes AI data capture from documents synced to accounting systems. Speedchain's construction card lists an AI Receipt Agent that reads vendor and amount from a photo. Ontollo describes a “system of action” that flags issues and assigns tasks across existing systems. Enlaye describes an AI risk assistant whose answers cite sources.

Change orders: Clearstory lists two AI agents in open beta. The COR Pricing Agent drafts a change order request from a voice note, takeoff or priced estimate using rates from the project library, and you edit it before it is sent; the T&M Tag Agent transcribes a voice note, matches the work to the project rate library and drafts a tag ready for signature.

Insurance and COI compliance: illumend says its AI, Lumie, reads each COI or endorsement line by line and makes the compliance decision. Jones describes AI agents plus insurance specialists reviewing COIs, endorsements and full policies. TrustLayer says its AI reads each COI and checks it against your standards. Billy lists an AI Review Assistant alongside managed and self-service COI tracking. Our compares of Billy vs illumend and TrustLayer vs Jones put the recorded facts side by side.
