Sitemate vs Fieldwire

Two field apps with published per-user prices that both now add AI to daily jobsite records. Sitemate's Dashpivot is a forms and workflow platform for daily reports, permits, JSAs, ITPs and timesheets, with Storm, an AI layer included on every plan, drafting records from voice notes, photos, texts and phone calls. Fieldwire, from Hilti, is a jobsite management app centred on plans, tasks, punch lists, inspections, forms and scheduling, with AI search, voice-driven tasks and talk-to-action reports in beta. Partly like-for-like (our reading): both cover field forms and daily reports, but Sitemate is forms-first and Fieldwire is plans-and-tasks-first. Desk research from vendor sites read Oct 31, 2026; no winner.

What it doesField data platform for construction teams: Dashpivot forms plus Storm, an AI layer that drafts reports for human review. Built for construction, infrastructure and other built-world teams, it lists Dashpivot (forms, templates and workflows for safety, quality, field reporting, time & materials), the login-free Sitemate App for front-line workers, Flowsite (no-code integrations), Gearbelt (fleet, tools & equipment), an Open API and a Sitemate MCP server with read access to Dashpivot data. Storm is the AI agent built into Dashpivot: the vendor says it is purpose-trained on built-world documents, drafts daily reports, permits, JSAs, ITPs and timesheets from voice notes, photos, typed notes, weather and location (through an Updraft intake layer that maps inputs to your forms), builds templates from a description or converts uploaded PDF/Word/Excel/photo-of-paper forms, works in workers' own languages and offline (queued until reconnect), and flags low-confidence fields. Workers without the app can answer a form by SMS or WhatsApp, or on a phone call from Storm. Output stays a draft until a person reviews it, with one exception: AI Call Fill submits the form when a call captures every answer (and texts a draft link to finish when it does not), and only runs on templates an admin has shared through a Sitemate Link. Admins set which workspaces, templates and fields Storm can write to, safety-critical fields can be locked to human-only entry, every input, draft, edit and approval is logged with a named owner, the LLM can be chosen per workflow, and MCP connectors expose Storm data to AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot. We tag it AI features added because Storm sits inside the established Dashpivot product. The homepage's "#1 Front Line AI Company" line and time-saved figures are vendor claims and are not used.Jobsite management app from Hilti Construction Software for plan viewing, tasks, punch lists, inspections, forms and scheduling. Plan viewing includes versioning and auto-hyperlinking; markups and as-builts work offline; digitized forms cover daily reports, timesheets, inspection requests and RFIs; it also produces PDF reports. Higher plans add sheet compare, BIM viewer, 360° photos, specifications, submittals, change orders and budget. Field Intelligence™ (fieldwire.com/ai) describes AI search over plans, tasks, photos and forms, voice-driven task creation and updates, AI-powered RFI editing, talk-to-action structured reports and converting form issues into tasks; its buttons read Sign up for beta, so treat these features as beta. The page says customer data is not used to train AI without explicit permission. Tagged AI features added based on the Field Intelligence page. Jobsite and project counts, customer stories and app-store review counts are vendor content and are not used.

Where the vendor descriptions differ

  • Centre of gravity: Sitemate builds everything around Dashpivot templates and workflows (daily reports, permits, JSAs, ITPs, defect reports, commissioning sheets, timesheets). Fieldwire builds around the drawing set: plan viewing with versioning and hyperlinking, tasks and punch items pinned to plans, inspections, forms, specifications and scheduling, with RFIs, submittals, change orders and budget on its top plan (vendor statements).
  • AI for daily records: Sitemate's Storm page says voice notes, photos, typed notes, weather and location go in and a drafted record comes out, in the worker's own language; workers without the app can answer by SMS, WhatsApp or a phone call from Storm. Fieldwire's Field Intelligence page lists AI search over plans, tasks, photos and forms, voice-driven task creation, AI-powered RFI editing and talk-to-action reports behind Sign up for beta buttons (vendor statements).
  • Human control: Sitemate says Storm's output stays a draft until a person reviews it, with one exception as of Oct 31, 2026 (AI Call Fill submits a form when a phone call captures every answer, only on templates an admin has shared through a Sitemate Link); admins choose which workspaces, templates and fields Storm can write to, safety-critical fields can be locked to human-only entry, and every input, draft, edit and approval is logged. Fieldwire says customer data is not used to train AI without explicit permission; the pages we read do not describe field-level AI permissions (vendor statements).
  • Pricing (checked Oct 31, 2026): Sitemate lists, for 11-30 users on a 1-year term, Standard $25.20, Pro $45.00, Premium $64.80 and Platinum $84.60 per user/month, Sitemate App users from $10.80, and Enterprise Unlimited; Storm is included at no extra cost. Fieldwire lists Basic $0 for 5 users and 3 projects, Pro $39, Business $64 and Business Plus $89 per user/month billed annually, plus custom contracts. Sitemate's prices vary by company size and term, so compare quotes for your own headcount.
  • AI tags (our reading): both are tagged AI features added to an established product.
  • Not used here: Sitemate's minutes-saved figures and customer quotes, and Fieldwire's project counts and ROI calculator savings (vendor claims). Facts for both tools come from vendor websites (desk research).
