Roofr vs ServiceTitan

Two business platforms a roofing contractor might run, at very different sizes and scopes. Only partly like-for-like (our reading): Roofr is roofing-only software that pairs its own aerial roof measurement reports with a CRM, published plans from $0 and an AI Receptionist add-on, while ServiceTitan is field service and contractor management software for many residential and commercial trades, roofing among them, with built-in AI (Titan Intelligence, Atlas, an AI Virtual Agent) and per-technician pricing by quote. Desk research from vendor sites read Nov 3, 2026; no winner.

What it doesRoofing software that pairs aerial roof measurement reports with a CRM (job boards, proposals, e-signatures, invoices and payments, material ordering through ABC Supply, QXO and SRS, CompanyCam and QuickBooks integrations). Roofr Reports are ordered by address from aerial imagery and include pitch, squares, edges, a waste factor and material lists; Roofr says every report goes through a multi-check system and at least one Roofr expert reviews each report before delivery, that paid-plan reports are guaranteed in 2 hours or less, and that it is the only service that lets you edit a finished report (vendor claims). A DIY tool lets you draw your own report from aerial, drone or blueprint images. The AI on the pages we read is outside the measurement step: an AI Receptionist add-on (tagged Beta on the pricing page) that answers calls 24/7, books appointments, gives quotes and creates job cards (its FAQ says setup takes about 10 minutes by call forwarding to a dedicated number, returning customers are routed to a human, and it introduces itself as your business, noting some callers will know it is AI), and Roofr Sites (Beta), described as AI-built websites. The Instant Estimator gives homeowners a roof estimate from their address based on the contractor's pricing. Testimonials and ratings on the pages are not used.Field service and contractor management software for residential and commercial trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, garage door, chimney, septic, pest control and others, plus commercial mechanical, refrigeration and fire and life safety), covering call booking, dispatching, scheduling, invoicing, pricebook, mobile estimates, payroll, memberships, marketing, reporting, accounting and inventory, with add-on Pro products (Marketing, Contact Center, Pricebook, Fleet, Scheduling, Dispatch and Field Pro, formerly Sales Pro). The products menu also lists FieldRoutes, Aspire, Convex and Conduit. Its Titan Intelligence page groups its AI as Atlas, Ads Optimizer (feeds ServiceTitan revenue data into Google Ads), Job Value Predictor, Second Chance Leads (flags unbooked calls that a call back might save), Price Insights in Pricebook Pro (compares your price for a service with the regional average selling price), a quarterly Benchmark Report, Review Response Generator, Invoice Summary and Invoice Email generators, and Risky Driver Detection in Fleet Pro, and lists upcoming features (Integration Errors Assistant, Automated Invoice Capture, Automated Proposal Templates, Audience Assistant, Email Content Generator, GPS Enabled Timesheets, TI Chat Assistant). Atlas, described as an AI sidekick, answers technicians' questions from ServiceTitan data and, with Field Pro, from equipment manuals, spec sheets and installation guides, and helps with troubleshooting; Atlas in the Office is marked coming soon. The AI Virtual Agent page describes a native voice and SMS agent that books calls straight to the dispatch board from ServiceTitan data and your business rules, confirms and reschedules appointments, transfers to a live CSR when needed and logs summaries and transcripts; it lists SMS texting (exclusive to ServiceTitan tracking numbers), a self-serve knowledge base, multiple agents per account and outbound lead response, and ServiceTitan says it works with Contact Center Pro or another phone system. Contractor counts, implementation-time and outcome percentages and customer quotes are vendor claims and are not used.

Where the vendor descriptions differ

  • Partly like-for-like: both run the office side of a trade business (leads, estimates or proposals, scheduling, invoicing and payments). Roofr is built only for roofers and adds measurement reports and supplier material ordering through ABC Supply, QXO and SRS; ServiceTitan lists roofing next to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, garage door, chimney, septic, pest control and commercial trades, and adds dispatching, pricebook, payroll, memberships, marketing, accounting and inventory, with add-on Pro products.
  • Measurements: Roofr sells aerial roof reports ordered by address (pitch, squares, edges, a waste factor and material lists) and says at least one Roofr expert reviews each report before delivery (vendor claim), plus a DIY tool for drawing your own report from aerial, drone or blueprint images. The ServiceTitan pages we read list no roof measurement product.
  • AI call answering: Roofr's AI Receptionist add-on (tagged Beta on its pricing page) answers calls 24/7, books appointments, gives quotes and creates job cards; its FAQ says setup is by call forwarding to a dedicated number and returning customers are routed to a person. ServiceTitan's AI Virtual Agent is a voice and SMS agent that books calls to the dispatch board from ServiceTitan data and your business rules, confirms and reschedules appointments, transfers to a live CSR when needed and logs summaries and transcripts; ServiceTitan says it works with Contact Center Pro or another phone system.
  • Other AI: Roofr lists Roofr Sites (Beta), described as AI-built websites, and an Instant Estimator that gives homeowners a roof estimate from their address based on the contractor's pricing. ServiceTitan's Titan Intelligence page lists Atlas (answers technicians' questions from ServiceTitan data and, with Field Pro, from equipment manuals), Ads Optimizer, Job Value Predictor, Second Chance Leads, Price Insights, a Review Response Generator and invoice summary tools, with Atlas in the Office marked coming soon.
  • Pricing (read Nov 3, 2026): Roofr publishes plans: Starter $0 a month with $19 reports, Measure+ from $109 a month, Essentials $249 and Scale $349 a month (lower billed yearly), with $13 reports on paid plans; the AI Receptionist is $99 a month with 200 minutes of calls, free for Essentials and Scale customers until the end of 2026 (vendor terms). ServiceTitan publishes no prices: three per-technician packages (Starter, Essentials, The Works) behind Request Pricing, and its Pro products, including the AI Virtual Agent, carry no prices on the pages we read. See each tool page for detail.
  • AI tags stay as listed on each tool page. Not used here: ratings, contractor counts, testimonials and outcome percentages (vendor material). Facts for both tools come from vendor websites (desk research).
